![]() Welcome to CERES Research Tower’s latest event! For all you new folk queuing outside of the conference room where you were just made to sit through a lovely power point presentation, you will be asked to stay a bit longer and test out some games in their Game Testing Center. It’s a giant space located in the basement level filled to the brim with cubicles for everyone to sit in and enjoy their newest array of pop-up games. The games themselves will be in holo(gm) form and will feature suggestions from CEO’s post, including a simplified, 8-bit version of Tetris, Baseball, Soda Smash, etc. Characters can control the game through moving their fingers and tapping them against the holo(gm) screens. Surrounding the cubicles will be tables of food and more food for characters to partake in. It’s all safe this time. No mind-altering candy corn or gut-exploding Knight Burgers. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the party. For those who have been in Cerealia for a while, they should have received an invitation to the event and an offer of 1,000 credits just for participating. So come on down and bring a friend or ten! Meanwhile, CEO has a small welcome for everyone-

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest event and intro post AND OUR VERY FIRST OVERFLOW. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing what's going on right here and feel free to consult the FAQ if needed. Please leave any lingering questions in the OOC post, and we'll answer them as soon as we can. If this post goes into overflow, we will make a new one to deal with the ever-hated captcha! Worry not! |
Koujaku
They left me...I was the weakest and they marked me with the mark of the devil. Since I'm a Baskerville I can bring a lot of bad luck!
[It's the easiest way to explain it. Even as she points to the tattoo on her face.]
I'm not joking! It's okay though.
no subject
I got one too, you know. [ He even parts his bangs a little to reveal the tattoo underneath. Never mind all the rest.
He wants to question her some more, but at least he's well aware that that might just make things worse for her. ]
I know it's not as okay as you say it is, but if you don't feel like talking about it, you don't have to. [ He's just being a boob. ]
no subject
H-Huh? [Any other thoughts are gone when she sees the tattoo. Lily reaches to grab his hand and look at the tattoo. Her's was blood red but they looked really similar. Part of her is reminded of Fang and Doug, it makes her smile.]
You're like me! Was your a mark of the devil too?
[Back to the other topic she shakes her head.]
Koujaku...it's okay. It was a while ago, I found the Baskervilles.
no subject
At least, he thinks, she won’t turn into a crazy beast version of herself. He can hope.
Please stop smiling like that he might pass out from the sheer adorable. ]
But I got people to look after me, too. [ Sort of. Clear probably counts. ]
Guess we should go ahead and find those Bask—Basker…uh [ HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE THIS SHIT ] your family [ ??? ] soon, huh?
no subject
Not really a beast...but she does have some crazy moments.
No luck there Koujaku, especially now that she knows about that tattoo!]
Really? That's good! [Lily has met Clear...and made him cry...oops.]
Here? The Baskervilles...Leo is here but not near by and I stay with Vincent but he can be mean.
no subject
He’s your big brother, right? [ Changing the subject and taking a wild guess here because he refuses to believe that Vince over her is mean in the more traditional context. No one needs to see him throw a tantrum around a bunch of video games. It’s not pretty. ]
Guess they can be kind of mean sometimes.
no subject
At the comment Lily shakes her head.]
Nu-uh! He isn't my brother.
[Although it does get Lily to think for a moment.]
Really?
no subject
Yeah, it might look that way at first, but brothers always got your back. [ Except Vincent because GOOD LORD ]
Still, even if he isn't your brother, he's still family, right? [ Little does he know. ]
no subject
...Really? [She's kind of curious about that now.]
Yeah...I guess so.
no subject
Ahh, well, until we run into him or someone else, I'll be honored to keep the beautiful Miss Lily company, if you'll let me!
no subject
I don't mind! ...I'm beautiful?
no subject
For now he's pretty captivated. ]
Sure you are. You've probably broken a lot of hearts by now, haven't you?
no subject
...I don't think I have? [She might be worrying now...]
no subject
I mean… [ spluttering ] You probably got a lot of guys falling for you is all.
[ Metaphors aren't his strong point. ]
no subject
Oh... [Face red again.] You say silly things.
no subject
I…get that a lot. [ He's only just thought of it now. Beyond Aoba calling him out on it, anyway. You can never tell with Aoba.
Ahem. ]
Just because it's silly doesn't mean it ain't true.
no subject
You do?
[Still blushing she nods softly.]
...How would I know though?
no subject
Hmm… [ He makes a show out of thinking this over, as if contemplating her innumerable aesthetic qualities. ]
Your hair is really nice, for one.
no subject
... [Quiet for a moment she then tilts her head. Softly she grabs at her hair, looking at some of it.]
Lottie did it...it was really messy and she fussed about it at first.
no subject
Then she must be really good! It sure doesn't look messy to me now.
[ Well he means it—like so many other things, as a matter of fact—but it's really nice to know that someone's taking care of even the littlest things for Lily. ]
no subject
[She wishes she was here, she would have a lot of fun...she's sure.]
You have nice hair too!
no subject
That's 'cause I'm a hairdresser! Is she one, too?
[ Why is she so cute. He could listen to her all day. ]
no subject
Uh-huh! I like it...the stick in it is pretty too.
[Yeah, she just called it a stick, Koujaku.]
Hair...dresser? We're Baskervilles...
What's a hairdresser? Do you dress hair?
[The mental image of this...is weird for Lily.]
no subject
Yeah, kinda. [ He doesn't mind calling it a stick in the least, though his hand rushes up to the pin anyway, in a gesture of "oh, this old thing?"
He's flattered. Unduly. But flattered all the same. He pulls the pin out. ]
I could dress your hair up real nice, maybe… [ He leans in and holds the pin up to her hair. ]
A stick's a good start.
no subject
Oh... [Watching him, she's curious out the stick it is pretty...she wonders why he wears it still though.
When he pulls it out she makes a small move, as if to stop him but she stops herself instead.
Blushing a little more, she grips the hem of her top.]
Really?
