![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

[This... was a lot to take in. And how could it not be? While he couldn't argue that between the powerpoint and everything they were being told, it was all reasonable, and yet.. it was completely insane. Aliens? Other worlds? It sounded like something right out of Fred's comic books.
But he listens, he takes it in all, especially the de ja vu of it. Seriously, did Fred make him read a comic with this plot once?
Either way, this was a mess. He didn't want to believe his world was gone. He was just there. What about his family? Hiro and Aunt Cass-- and his friends? Were they alright?
He's pretty lost in thought during the whole process of getting loaded onto the bus, but if you catch his eye and look just as lost and concerned as he does, he might just speak up.]
So. Aliens, huh?
snacks;
[Since he found Hiro, Tadashi's barely been separate for him. Not that he minds. He was extremely glad to know his brother was safe and sound, Baymax too. And Hiro's excitement about the carnival itself is keeping him preoccupied and his mind off things he's...since learned.
But with all the apparently weird things happening around the carnival, Baymax is getting some good use, and while Hiro was handling that, Tadashi went to grab some snacks for them to pig out on. What good was a carnival if you didn't eat everything horrible for you that you possibly could? You might find him in line, eyeing all the goodies, or you might find him struggling to carry more junk than any two people should attempt to eat on their own.]
phase i;
[There's only so long one can keep up a front. Tadashi does well for the most part. He's having fun with Hiro, but while Hiro goes to ride the roller coaster again (Tadashi really didn't want to go through that one more time), he decides to go for a quiet ride on the ferris wheel. What better place to really mull over all this mess he's suddenly finding himself in? If you happen to end up in the same car as him, you'll find him with his hat off, and his face in his hands as he attempts to process... well, everything.]
getting on the bus;
Hiro, your heart rate is: elevated.
[hiro mutters a "yeah, yeah," waving absently at baymax, but it's the next thing baymax says that makes him stop in his tracks:]
Tadashi is here.
sobs all over you
But it doesn't take much to pull him from his thoughts. This time, it was a voice-- a voice he knew very well, and was not excepting to hear.]
-- Baymax....? [He more or less said it to himself, wondering it he was just hearing things as he started to look around. It was as he turned, looking on to the line behind him, that he spotted the all too familiar robot several steps behind him....and next to him, his little brother. Needless to say, he couldn't be more relieved.]

But when a certain someone ends up buying the last stock of sugar—or rather—cotton candy they have... someone gets upset. ]
Hey, what's the big idea?!
no subject
So when he's suddenly being yelled at, he's taken aback, mostly because he has yet to know why.]
Um...can I help you? [just casually gonna shift some of the stuff around his arms while he tries to figure out why there's yelling??]

Hmmm...! There is quite the selection!

You said it. This is going to be a hard choice.

phase i
Though looking over at the other person in this odd little car, her uncertainty over what she's getting herself into melts away in favor of concern.]
Excuse me? [She leans just a little.] Are you all right?
[He's just arrived, right? It's overwhelming. She knows that.]
no subject
He dropped his hands from his face, and after clearing his throat, ran a hand through his hair and replaced his hat on his head.]
Yeah. Yeah, I'm-- fine.
[Probably not as convincing as he was going for, but at this point, he's only really concerned about keeping it together for Hiro, and he's already put a lot of energy into that for today.]

on the bus;
Apparently. It all sounds like the set-up to a Game, to me. But without any win conditions listed - or not immediately doable ones?
no subject
A game. You know, that's the one thing I didn't think of. I was leaning more towards something right out of a comic book. Or a horror movie, even.

But it's a little hard to enjoy herself when the dude next to her looks as bummed out as they come. She's kind of annoyed to find that she can't ignore it like she totally wants to.]
...Hey. [Tentatively...] What's wrong?
no subject
He didn't realize the girl was talking to him at first. Once his mind finally caught up and processed this, he turned to her, blinking in surprise.]
Nothing. Well, everything, to be honest, but I-- don't want to talk about it right now.
[Even if he did talk about it, he didn't know how he felt. He was still trying to process it all. Learning his world and everything he loved had been destroyed was enough bad news. But he died too, and how he felt about his loved ones right now was what he did to them.]

But, well, she can guess what he's referring to. ]
I would give them points for creativity, if very little else.
no subject
Okay, so they were in video games and movies, but still. Regardless of what she looked like, she was there too, stuck in the same situation of finding our her home was destroyed by other creatures - said aliens.]
I take it you're not buying it?
[Because that's what that sounds like to him. He still doesn't know what he thinks, but he's very curious to hear her thoughts now.]

snacks!
You should try those!
[Just in case Tadashi was having some trouble deciding there...]
But if you like salt, the pretzels are really good, too. Everything but the hotdogs are good!
no subject
Oh yeah? I'm honestly scared to ask, but what's wrong with the hotdogs?
[He likes hotdogs and was thinking about grabbing one. PLEASE TELL HIM IF HE'S GOING TO GET FOOD POISONING he's having a bad enough day already.]

Yeah. Yeah, I am. [He's not, not at all. But who would be, learning they died from their own actions?]

phase i;
Very quiet even, seeing as how the other person here is completely silent and looking pretty bummed out.]
... Excuse me, [she starts hesitantly, unsure if she should interrupt him] but are you alright?
no subject
Tadashi glances up at the girl when she speaks up, offering a half-smile, in an attempt to be okay. He's not, not in the slightest, but he's trying to get there, for Hiro.]
Not exactly, but I will be. Eventually. [okay so maybe not for a while, to be honest, but he's pretty sure if learning you died was an actual thing anywhere but here, that would be the norm for it.]
(no subject)
on the bus! honk honk
Shh!! Keep it down, you're gonna blow my cover!
no subject
Sorry? [He lowered his voice this time, before he leaned onto the seat in front of him. He crossed his arms against the head, and rather than look down at the person hiding, he keeps his gaze forward, in an attempt to not "blow his cover." He may not know what's going on, but he can roll with it.]
Is someone looking for you?
(no subject)

i
That is, until he finally takes notice of the guy sitting across with him with his face in his hands.]
This place getting to you, huh?
[He sounds kind of bored about it though, indicated he might not really care about Tadashi's answer that much.]

snacks!
[She doesn't know him, not really. She doesn't even remember seeing him around before. But Rhyme assumes he's been here for a while, if he's carrying so much food to share. Well, unless he eats like her brother of course. But his slim figure tells her otherwise, just as his plain-looking clothes tell her that he's normal. Just like her. There are so many people here with strange clothing and features...not that Rhyme's the type to judge others by their appearance, of course. It's just refreshing to find someone who isn't carrying a sword or doesn't look like they can launch fireballs from the palms of their hands that's all.]
