Teeny Weeny String Bikini [OPEN!]

Where: Indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District
What: An indoor waterpark adventure! It's like a beach episode in the middle of the winter! Basically, Nonon wanted to go with just Ryuko but suddenly more people were invited than she intended. Now the word is out, it's not longer a private date for the two, and instead filled with friends, food and swimming!

It all started with a simple text message to Ryuko. Nonon had found a bikini she wanted to wear and heard about an indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District that is heated in the wintertime. And what she had secretly hoped to be a day out between her and her sister's best friend that she might or might not be feeling some sort of unresolved tension with, suddenly grew bigger when she was told to invite Athena. Soon more and more people were invited until it was a small crowd all planning to meet up at the waterpark.




And what a park it is!

With a giant heat lamp in roof overhead it's almost like being at the beach in summer! The change of temperature as soon as you arrive is almost staggering. The heat is a nice change of pace though from the snowstorm that had hit earlier over Christmas, making it all the better reason to rip off your clothes down to your swimsuit and enjoy a day in the water!!

There is plenty to do:

Water slides!

A wave pool!

A hidden grotto with hot tubs for secret rendezvous...

Lazy river!

Deliciously fruity cocktails from the swim-up bar that are known to be deceptively alcoholic...

Some local jerk has even brought food for people to eat, or you can eat at the snack bar!

Sunbathing!

Chicken fights!

And of course, swimming with friends!

Just be careful around the little robotic crabs that move around, as the self-cleaning systems. There's rumors that if they were all to come together in one place they might form into a giant dangerous crab robot that would need to be battled, in some kind of... Crab Battle. So don't do that.

The park closes at 9:00pm, and the sun slowly turns off with sundown, so enjoy a romantic evening lit by underwater lights.

[ Athena is making full use of the bar, as well as the waiters that go around taking people's orders. She's about to order another drink, as well as some more snacks (is she really swimming in this place, or is she just eating?!), when she spots Peko on her own. ]

Hey, Peko! [ She greets the other girl as she walks up to her, a waiter nearby. She bends down to whisper something, ] Do you want anything to drink? Nonon's treating me, so I can put your drink on her tab too.

Athena.

[Peko offers a nod in greeting, pausing in shifting aside on the chair if the other girl wants to join her to instead listen to the whisper. Well, if Nonon is kind enough to invite all these people, and pay for Athena's drinks? Surely it would be fine...]

Ah... a juice would be nice, thank you. If you're sure it's alright...

[ She looks back at the waiter and orders the "best juice they have" for Peko, before taking a seat. ]

It'll be fine. If it's not, she'll yell at me, anyway! You'll be safe.

[ Ha ha ha! That might actually seem scary (to Athena, anyway), but she doesn't mind at all. ]

I do not want you to get in trouble...

[She's very concerned about this! But evidently not concerned enough to try to stop the waiter, either.

Instead she moves the rags out of the way too and sheathes her sword, glancing toward the other girl.]

Are you having fun, though?

You bet!

[ It's always a good time when Ryuko is around. They haven't seen each other in a really long time, too, so it's more than exciting! ]

What about you? You really shouldn't just be hanging out here on your own, you know.

Something like this is fine for me.

[The bag is still a little wet, so Peko shifts sideways and wrings it out to avoid getting water on Athena.]

...Not to say that I dislike your company. Ah-- but did you know? Katsura has brought a very brave little warrior.

[She means the tiny kitten.]

[ Athena hasn't seen Katsura or the kitten yet, so it's up to her imagination to think of who (or what) this little warrior could be like. ]

He did...?

Is it somebody from his home?

I am not certain.

She is a very small kitten, [Peko holds her hands apart to indicate that it is so teeny,] who is not afraid of me at all. She has the softest fur I have felt in a very long time...

[This is so pathetic. This is literally the happiest Peko has ever managed to look, and it's over having gotten to pet the smallest kitten in this whole city.]

Oh.

[ She was sounding so excited earlier, but her mood immediately drops when Peko tells her it's a kitten. Why???? ]

I- I mean, it must be really cute! Do you like cats, then?

It is very cute.

[THE BRAVEST WARRIOR. Peko flushes lightly and looks away from Athena, though she doesn't intend to deny it.]

I like animals with soft fur and feathers... but most of them are frightened by my intense nature. This is the first kitten in a very long time who has not run from me.

[psycholawgy]

[ Peko isn't very intense when she decorates cakes and other desserts. Athena actually finds it cute that Peko seems so calm when she's doing such intricate activities. ]

Hey, that's good!

But I don't think you're that intense. [ Her basis for it is Apollo Justice, after all. He screams a lot. ] Maybe just... really serious?

[She is a completely different level of intense than Apollo Justice is, that's true. No one is quite as loud as Apollo.]

Do you not think so?

[She sounds a little surprised at that, glancing back to Athena. She really hasn't noticed how her own demeanor softens when she works on things like decorating and preparing desserts; she only knows that when she fights, most people are frightened of her. Also when she tries to smile on purpose.]

Tell me, do you think it possible that I could learn to smile, like you do?

[What the heck. Where did that come from??]

[ Anybody can smile, Peko!!

At the question, Athena gives the other girl a warm smile; probably the same kind of smile Peko is talking about. ]

Of course, but it's not something that can be learned, you know.

[ You can be so silly sometimes, Peko!! She draws her knees closer to her, recalling a fond memory. ] When you're happy, your face just moves on its own to show the whole world.

Mm... that's similar to what Hinata told me, once. When you think of a happy memory, or an important person... smiles can come naturally.

[She frowns again, though, glancing at the other girl and shaking her head.]

There must be a trick to being able to show a smile to try to comfort someone, though. When things are not going so well, but you must still try to smile to make them feel better...

[When she says "them," she may or may not mean one person in particular. A certain one-eyed blond asshole, perhaps.]

[ Ah... it's in those situations where you have to force your biggest smiles. Athena knows that feeling all too well. Though at least her smile isn't murderous and she doesn't look like she could kill twenty-thousand puppies. ]

I've got it!

You should try practising in front of a mirror. What makes a smile look happy are your eyes. [ She nods sagely. ] If they're gentle, then you'll be able to convey your message properly, even without the corners of your mouth being turned up.
