The threatened person was my friend Athena Cykes. She approached me and told me someone threatened her life if I didn't stop writing "defaming articles," which I never wrote in the first place. Also I had to apologize for being mad at Archer and venting at him a bit privately over the network. She told me I couldn't write about it in the paper or tell the police. But you're a detective, so that should be fine.

Whoever threatened her to affect me must be someone who really cares about what people think about Archer, but she says it wasn't Archer himself, and in fact he didn't know about that. It also must have been a hacker or cracker because they knew about this private talk I had with Archer, and only Archer and me should have known.

I had suspicions about Aura Blackquill, since she's a known hacker and she seems to have some connection to Athena, but they're both very tight-lipped on the subject. I suspect she's not involved with Archer, though.

The anonymous hacker who posted everyone's files also denied responsibility.

Whatever you're planning on doing, don't just ask Athena about it or give her the idea I'm investigating it. I've already tried asking her, and that wasn't enough. So... don't do anything that would threaten my friendship with her, okay?
