Of course, for those old enough, there's also the casino downstairs if you prefer more mature "games".

[ Kagemitsu did not sign up for this. He really didn't, and he does not really appreciate Hirari's doing it for him. Not that he minds meeting people, rather, he loves meeting people, but this blind date thing sounded weird. But he decided to go none the less, because not going would be impolite to this... date of his.

But he also doesn't know anything about game centers, and the unfamiliar location makes him nervous. And since he left Poko with Botan for the duration of this thing, he can't get reassurance from the tanuki, either. ]

Picnics take place in the CERES Gardens! A good choice for an activity like that, right? Inside the baskets you get is everything you need to have a good one; a blanket to sit on, paper plates and plastic cutlery so you don't have to take anything with you when you're done, a paint speckled jar filled with tea lights inside that can be lit for a romantic setting, the works. The food is all easy to eat and there are two bottles of lemonade and two bottles of plain water included.

This little frozen yogurt shop is a bit chilly, but it's sheer cuteness has to make up for that. You're looking at pastel colors everywhere from the wall color to the puzzle-piece shaped tables to the marshmallow chairs to sit on. The far wall is lined with yogurt dispensers in an impressive selection of flavors, most with vegan alternatives, and on your way to check out is a buffet bar filled with toppings. Fresh fruit and nuts, syrups, sprinkles, you name it. If it belongs on or in desserts, it's there. So grab a bowl and make some kind of masterpiece. (Just remember you're being charged by weight here!)

Athena had signed her up for this event so suddenly that Ai was at a loss on what to actually do. What was there to talk about? What if the other half of this date didn't like her or found her boring??? In fact, why was this esper so worried and nervous about a date compared to the many missions she was sent on back in her world which were way more dangerous and life threatening???

Even so, Ai Thao feels like she should try her best to have a good time, regardless of who she was paired up with. After all, a blind date wasn't a guarantee of... whatever happens after it becomes legit. So Ai will be waiting in front of the froyo place, dressed up neatly, shyly running her hand through her hair as she glances at her device every once and a while.]

Top Dog is this retro, 1950's style cafe is a happening place to be. The checkered flooring, neon signs and retro-style posters really gives this place that jumping and jiving kind of feel to it and the music from the jukebox in back probably helps. They're pretty proud of their coffee selection but what the staff really wants you to try is their hot dogs. Trust them, if you don't try those hot dogs before you leave, you'll regret it.

[ taroutachi is not really here out of his own free will. kashuu had signed him up and he's not even sure he understands the point of this aside from spending time with a random stranger? he supposes he's going along with it because it should be beneficial to meet other people. though he finds "turkey" to be a very confusing name.

he's hard to miss, being rather tall and with long black hair. although kashuu has likely dressed him up in something he doesn't agree with.

[ Nonon mutters to herself, looking down at the badge she somehow agreed to wear. It's attached to her chest, on top of the pink winter peacoat she's wearing, heavy with buttons off center. There's a big green beret on her head too, with a skull medallion, with long black and white striped sleeves poking out from under the short sleeved jacket. And given the length of the thing, it's hard to tell she's wearing a skirt, since all that anyone can see are black leggings ending in tan boots with pretty white fur on them.

Despite the cute look, she's not managing to smile, wondering just who the hell she ended up with. To be fair she's expecting a girl, given that she is currently dating one who happens to be in jail at the moment, and only likes girls, a fact she's tried to make clear.

And yet she still came to this stupid thing, perhaps out of obligation more than anything else. She is a rude brat, but she can do polite things sometimes. ]

Your typical American-style diner, Big Daddy's looks more like the kind of place you'd stop in on a road trip rather than something that's part of what amounts to a giant food court. There are large windows lining the front of the restaurant inviting people in, and it has a cozy, homey atmosphere with wood tables and chairs, large booth seats and bright colors everywhere. They're all about burgers at this joint, but they have a few other items like steak and seafood on the menu as well.

[ For dates you wore nice clothes, right? Which is why Butch is wearing completely whole and clean jeans and shirt, instead of his normal a little rugged outfits. The diner has a comfortable feel but then again, the outlaw can feel at home in most places, even if all the odd modernities has made it a bit harder to understand things in this world.

He comes a bit early, but waiting is not a problem for him, even if he sometimes is a bit of an impatient person. ]

[After all the fussing he's done over everyone else, of course Kashuu's made sure to look his absolute best today! That'd be bad advertisement or something, overseeing makeovers in a top-end boutique only to show up looking slobbish to his own date... So he's dressed in classy-casual attire - reds and blacks - and has tied his hair back neatly with a red ribbon, taking even more care to be presentable than he usually does (which says a dang lot, because he already spends like a thousand hours in front of the mirror every day).

He's pretty easy to spot, at least; among all the gamers who are just here to kick some ass and win some prizes, he's standing near a claw machine off to the side of the entrance, practically bouncing in excitement. HE'S GETTING TO DO HUMAN THINGS. His first blind date!! His first date in general...! He's so determined to not screw this up, and eagerly scans the crowds for anyone wearing another orange badge.]

Roxy/Jaune | 02/05 | Afternoon

If you've never been to a bowling alley, be prepared to be amazed! This is CERES we're talking about, so this place has it all. From helpful staff to guide you through the process of picking your shoes to picking your ball, plenty of well-maintained lanes to play on and very happy interior design, your bowling experience is sure to be a good one!

[ Being recently cleared out of the hospital, Jaune decided that the best way to get over his latest crisis is via a good old fashioned date. His arms are still bandaged up, although it's hard to tell since he decided to wear a black winter hoodie instead of his usual attire today. He just hopes he can swing a bowling ball...

But we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

For now, Jaune enters the bowling house with a sunflower in his hand as he scans the room for his date with the matching badge. Did he show up early?

In any case, he's... quite prepared! He copied Mabel's cheat sheet of dating tips and wrote them all on his bandages, which he'll occasionally refer to when he rolls up his hoodie sleeves. Yeah, he's relying on advice from a 12 year old. This will be fine. ]

Tea for Two is a little corner cafe that doesn't look very impressive on the outside and is pretty small on the inside, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in environment. You might expect it to be more like a little bookshop than a cafe with the comfortable reading chairs, the corner benches and the quiet atmosphere, but it's definitely a cafe. They only serve tea, drink wise, and have a stellar selection of both hot and cold options. Everything is organic, including the small number of snacks they offer.

[It's certainly not the worst environment for the occasion. Jade's not one who's wanted anything to do with romance. But once he found out that he had been signed up for this service by someone (he thinks he has some inkling as to who would want to prank him in such a way), he thought that to ignore this would be to let that prankster win. Instead, he's determined to be to deliver as satisfying a date experience as he can.

He arrives dressed in his usual outfit, which consists of his military regalia, his name badge now temporarily placed upon it. There is not much out of the ordinary, aside from the fact that he is wielding a very small bouquet of roses. There also seems to be some cologne on him, but that's actually an ordinary thing for him.

Jade arrives at the exact minute that the blind date has been scheduled for, and he scans the area curiously for someone with a matching badge. What is in store for him...?]

As with everything in CERES, there's more selection here than you probably ever needed. Cuisine choices inspired from every corner of the world, browsing the selections hand in hand with your partner, food made right in front of you; This is truly an ideal place to get your romance on!

[He wouldn't have come today except that it was Mabel and he couldn't very well tell her to stuff it like he would have said if it was any of the other swords. He can't help that he has a bit of a soft spot for kids, but he sure as hell isn't going to say it out loud or look like he means to have fun. At the very least there's food here and that's something Dotanuki can get behind.

He has on the peach badge, arms crossed, and is dressed in a plain black kimono with a grey obi. He would have come in his usual armor and fighting clothes, but Mabel said no, so he had to change. Rather than look for his "date," however, his eyes are mainly on the food stalls all around them. It has a lot of stuff he's never tried before, and the smells of it are making him want to leave the assigned waiting spot.

But a mission is a mission, so he's there, waiting.

There isn't a lot of seating in this small restaurant, but luckily you've got a reservation. The decor is somewhat stereotypical of an Italian restaurant, olive branches over here and slightly avant-garde or surreal paintings of tomatoes over there, but it's nice none the less. There are some small two-person tables inside the restaurant, but you're free to request one of the tables outside too if you prefer that kind of dining experience. Their menu is small but the food supposedly makes up for it. There's also a tiny wine section on the back if you're old enough to drink.

[Yogi is actually feeling vaguely terrified, both because he's never been on any sort of 'real' date and because he doesn't want to face Athena's wrath for not showing up to something he was signed up for unexpectedly.

Still, he wants to make the best of it, and would hate to be stood up himself, so he dressed up (minus top hat) for the occasion, and has made sure to arrive a few minutes early. If he is going to go on a date, and possibly make a new friend, he doesn't want to give off a bad impression.

He doesn't want to sit down yet, so he's fiddling with his badge and looking around, hoping to spot whoever he has been set up with.]

[If there's one rule for dating Larry's stuck to the most, it's that he always wants to be there early. Guys get a lot of flak for showing up late to anything- and when a guy shows up late for a date, he comes off as lax and uncaring. But Larry is serious about dates, and he wants to get that across! Thus, he arrives at least ten minutes before the designated time so he can scope out the exterior of the location...and psyche himself up for this.

Surprisingly, he's dressed up pretty nicely for the date! His signature orange blazer is present, but he's wearing a nice beige dress shirt underneath, along with black slacks and some shoes that aren't fashion abominations like his usual ones. And yes, he double-checked to make sure his hair is properly gelled!! He also didn't come empty-handed: he's holding a cute white bag with floral lacework that contains candy hearts, along with a bouquet of assorted flowers. Yeah he's...he's going all out for this one. Hopefully he doesn't mess it up. (Hahahahaha.)

Taking a deep breath, he heads inside and sits himself at an open booth. Now all he has to do is wait for that other blue badge.]

Don't mind the shady company in this bar. What's important is the drink selection, the nightlife atmosphere and having a good time with your date, right? Right...

Niteo is a happening night club found in the Entertainment district. With loud music from the in-house DJ constantly playing and what might be slightly over-priced drinks, this is a great place to hang out for the older crowd. Why not try out a little dancing?

[He doesn't want to be here, but that's no surprise. He didn't want to be part of the blind date in general, and he certainly didn't want to have to arrive in a place like this. It's loud, bright in all the wrong ways, and he certainly has no interest in dancing. Overall, this is...unfortunate.

But after all of the fuss and muss Kashuu and Yang made to make sure he was presentable for this (they even did his hair, that's nonsense), and knowing what they would do if he didn't show...and there's the fact that standing someone up for something that was not their fault doesn't sit well with him... well, in the end, he has to show up anyway.

But it's really difficult to find whoever he's supposed to be looking for in a night club, so the first impression is apparently going to be Sousei wallflowering as he squints at people and tries to find someone else wearing an indigo colored badge (in this lighting? Not easy.)]

Peko/Soramaru | 02/05 | Evening

The Mignon steakhouse is very popular and usually pretty full, but luckily you have a reservation! The seating is primarily booth seats, though there are stools lining a bar at the back wall of the restaurant. The atmosphere is warm with wood tables, padded wood seats, a sort of "log cabin" interior and dim lighting, and the windows are tinted to help keep this feeling. The menu is impressive (your waitress suggests starting with their famous bread sticks) and offers a good selection of alcoholic beverages for those old enough to drink.

[Peko may have signed herself up at Mabel's suggestion, but that doesn't mean she's still entirely comfortable with the entire situation. After all, she's never really gone on a real date before, and even with Mabel's lessons... she's still liable to make a fool of herself. But that's alright, because as long as she has the chance to practice, it'll all be worth it.

She can be found waiting outside the restaurant itself, wearing a short, simple black dress and stockings. The dress itself is loose enough that she'll have no problem fighting in it if it comes to that, and of course, she has her sword. Since it is a date, she's forgone her normal braids in favor of a tight bun, wound tightly with a dragon pin.

She's definitely nervous, but at least it doesn't show on her face as she crosses her arms and leans against the wall outside the restaurant itself, keeping a careful eye out for anyone with a matching sky blue button.]

Myriam/Shiho | 02/05 | Evening

[Shiho didn't have high hopes for the little corner cafe when she'd first arrived (not fashionably late as she'd wanted to be originally when Mabel had shown up outside her door) but it looks very nice from all she can see with her hands against the wall, waiting in the crisp, cool air for her date.

She'd opted for a cute dress under a warm (but short) coat and a pair of high-heeled boots which were all the better to actually be able to look people (angrily) in the eye without having to crane her neck back. She adjusts the navy badge so it sits straight against her coat before crossing her arms.]

Lapis/Phoenix | 02/05 | Evening

The theater you're going to isn't the biggest and the best, but it's affordable and has a great selection of movies to choose from! Their snacks are delicious, their chairs are comfortable and it's not super packed so you're sure to get a good seat. The question is do you really want to watch whatever they're showing. Predictably it includes some romance options for the upcoming holiday, but maybe you just want to sit in the back and spend some more quality time getting to know one another instead!

[It's definitely a modest theatre, but Phoenix isn't one to complain. The defense attorney might have been reluctant about seeking a date, but Trucy had signed him for this event. It was just her birthday, so he figured he owed her one wish. Mostly, he was looking at it as a nice excuse to get to do know someone new.

So he waited outside the theatre, dressed in his current getup. His coral badge is placed near his attorney's badge, and he also has a modest bouquet in mind. He might be uncertain about romance, but he at least wants to do this right.

He lingers by the entrance to take in the selection of movies and to see if his date has already arrived. Phoenix is a few minutes late, after all. And he wants to make sure that they pick out a movie they'll both like.]

Gongenzaka/Ruca | 02/06 | Morning

[Nooooo he knows who signed him up. And Mabel was curiously skilled in avoiding proper punishment for that. More crafty than Dennis, he's sure.

Still. He sighs. He can't be rude. That would be WORSE...if someone is waiting for him, then he will humor that.

A futuristic styled cafe, the decor here is probably more fitting of CERES than most places. Sleek lines, blue lighting and white everything, this place is staffed by people who really try to work the robot thing, including talking in a super monotone voice. It's meant to be playful but it might be a little unnerving at times. Their menu has a huge selection of beverages from coffee to hot beverages to smoothies...you name it, it's probably on there. They've also got some pretty strange and outlandish sounding flavors...

[ He absolutely, positively does not want to be involved in something like this. In the first place, he has no time for silly romantic outings; he's a busy rabbit. And this is not the time or place for romance. And his duty is to his lady, first and foremost! Thus, he didn't sign up. He didn't even think about signing up.

Apparently, though, someone else thought about signing him up, and thus, he's here, looking pretty sour about the entire thing. He had to call out of work for this, and he's not happy about it...! Even less so now that he's arrived at the location and it's completely robotic. Zara's medieval. He doesn't really do robots.

In any case, when he arrives there, he'll be waiting near the entrance with his pin, glancing around for his date. The long ears laying back almost flat on his head indicate his bad mood pretty well. But he has to at least try to be polite. ]

[ Rasu hadn't been on a date even once in his life. He had been in one relationship while he was alive, and that was kept secretly due to the other's family and status, and still it had ended badly. Now, he was really nervous about it. He was feeling guilty, too, due to his reasons for signing up for a blind date.

And due to his nerves, he had been up way too early, trying to figure out what you wore for something like this. All of his clothes were too big on him due to his skinniness, and were mostly fitted for rock concerts, but he managed to find a knitted sweater that looked okay, with long sleeves that covered his hands properly. The rest took equally long time to pick, but at least he didn't do anything special with his hair other than his regular braid.

And now he had been at the Game Center for over two hours, coming way too early, waiting for his date. He had flowers, and he had managed to make vegan chocolate. ]

Picnics take place in the CERES Gardens! A good choice for an activity like that, right? Inside the baskets you get is everything you need to have a good one; a blanket to sit on, paper plates and plastic cutlery so you don't have to take anything with you when you're done, a paint speckled jar filled with tea lights inside that can be lit for a romantic setting, the works. The food is all easy to eat and there are two bottles of lemonade and two bottles of plain water included.

[imagine England's surprise when, not long after coming home from work, a young girl appears on his doorstep and tells him he has been signed up for a date.

just. imagine.

for starters, England's face had turned red, from a mixture of both anger and embarrassment. who dared put him through such humiliation? he's a country! he doesn't go on blind dates!

...but before he can properly express his outrage, he remembers that Mabel is standing there, being ever so cute, and he is kind of sort of pretending to be a human in Cerealia. and then comes the agonizing over wanting to refuse, but also being so damned curious about who he's been paired up with. before England knows it, it's the afternoon of the sixth, and he's standing in the Gardens with his peru-colored badge and a basket with the blanket and cutlery. no food, though... he finds that strange, at first, until he realizes that the other person must have the food.

and so, he waits, dressed in a casual, but nice, suit (nothing too fancy because, after all, this is a picnic), trying to psych himself up for the initial meeting.

That's all this will be, he tells himself. Just a meeting. We'll see who it is, maybe have some lunch, and I will explain that I didn't sign up for this. Then we'll be on our separate ways. perfect.

If you've never been to a bowling alley, be prepared to be amazed! This is CERES we're talking about, so this place has it all. From helpful staff to guide you through the process of picking your shoes to picking your ball, plenty of well-maintained lanes to play on and very happy interior design, your bowling experience is sure to be a good one!

[Kuzuryuu still really doesn't want to do this. He's not crazy about the idea of dating or romance, nor is he particularly fond of childish activities like bowling. Though maybe that's just the fact that he has no idea how to play talking. But he told Mabel he'd give it a try, so here he is: lingering near the entrance and occasionally wiping flakes of gold glitter off of his pinstriped suit. God it just keeps flaking off...how can one little badge have so much loose glitter!? This is probably not the best attire for something like bowling, but suits are really all he owns. At least he replaced his animal skull tie with a more appropriate plain black one.]

[Vaguely, he wonders if maybe his date is already here and maybe he just missed them. Should he maybe move and start looking for them instead of waiting? Then again, he is a little early, and staying in one spot is usually the better option when you're looking for someone, right? Hm...]

Your typical American-style diner, Big Daddy's looks more like the kind of place you'd stop in on a road trip rather than something that's part of what amounts to a giant food court. There are large windows lining the front of the restaurant inviting people in, and it has a cozy, homey atmosphere with wood tables and chairs, large booth seats and bright colors everywhere. They're all about burgers at this joint, but they have a few other items like steak and seafood on the menu as well.

[ This was possibly the most baffling challenge ever posed to Patroller Jaco. When Mabel delivered her little gift bag, he had no time to ask a single question before she had to move onto the next. Honestly next to the flower and chocolate coupons, he was starting to wonder if someone had signed him up for some odd mailing list.

So here he was, left with a brightly colored badge, a list of date-focused conversation topics, and some coupons for... "Big Daddy's". ]
