Public displays of badassery
Who: Zoro
yourotherleft & Weiss
multiglyphs
When: IC 2/7
Where: a nondescript park in the Residential District
What: Weiss wants to see if Zoro really knows how to fight, and Zoro wants to see what she can do with that sword.
Rating/Warning: none likely
[By now Zoro was absolutely certain he had healed up enough from his recent beating, though the only way to be sure was to line up more fights and get right back into it. Trunks was on the list, but in the meantime he remembered Weiss wanted a piece of him, so to speak. So he texted her to see if she was free to take him on, once he found a suitable place.
It was still outdoors, but not the Gardens, so whatever she mentioned interfered with her Dust might not be the issue in a place like this. There were, however, a lot more civilians around. Not that Zoro cared much. There was a nice open area of park-lawn where he could let loose, devoid even of trees, so as long as nobody was dumb enough to kick a soccer ball through their fight, they'd be fine. And far less collateral damage than indoors, that's for sure.
He actually texted her from the park, since he had nothing better to do than hang out there, so he wouldn't get lost or be late. Instead, he decided to stretch out in the grass and take a nap. It wasn't too cold, but he had a hoodie on (unzipped, naturally) and his nice new green haramaki from Vietnam to keep his core warm, so he was good to go. Now, to wait for Weiss.]

with another flick of her wrist, she takes takes off — a neat, quiet jump that has her twisting in mid-air, her feet landing deftly on yet another glyph that appears just in time to catch her. for a second, it looks as if she is standing upside-down, or at least at an angle. but in the next, she is pushing off the glyph and launching herself straight towards zoro, intending to meet him head-on with a a clash of her own blade. ]

Pretty fast with those things.
[It is fairly impressive, even for a guy who's seen people made of fire, snow, and lightning. And here all he's got is arm strength. Pure, crazy, super-level arm strength. All he has to do is bring the swords apart to either side to create enough of a shockwave to throw her off.
Clearly, this calls for taking it up a notch. He's got mere seconds in which to grab Wadou Ichimonji and jam it in his mouth before he's back for another round, this time with all three swords.]

he bats her away with barely a flick of his wrist, it seems, his strength and power practically immeasurable when compared to hers. unlike the hard-hitting yang, or the speedy ruby, weiss has little physical ability to actually fall back on. her semblance, unfortunately, only compensates for this in more "magical" ways.
but she is fast with them, at least. she's had to be. so when he blows her away with his strength, she doesn't go flying for long, easily caught and held by another one of her black glyphs. seeing him charging after her, though, weiss knows she can't keep jumping around for long. hastily, she gives the chamber on her hand guard a quick spin. she barely has enough time to deliver a slash of her own — blazing hot streams of fire shoot towards him suddenly, as if she'd been equipped with a flamethrower all this time. ]

Zoro skids sideways and comes at her from another angle, definitely not interested in being singed today. If only he could cut fire, but no. No such luck. He stretches out with his haki to anticipate which direction she might move, from the tiniest twitch of muscles to the shift of her eyes, and brings the two swords up over his back to cross the third. Just gotta aim this right.]
Tora...gari!
[as he moves forward, all three blades slash outward into a single, focused attack.]

the speed and power with which he's coming at her is inhuman, frankly, and it's likely a testament to her own field inexperience how quickly such an intimidating force freezes her up.
...ironically, it's this very thing that actually saves her neck. with her attention all caught up in a sudden grip of fear, she loses her concentration and the glyph that had been holding her up, mid-air, suddenly disappears beneath here and dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown she goes with a sharp shriek and a muffled thud as she lands ungracefully on the ground.
ow... she was definitely gonna feel that for days. ]

in the back of her mind, she can still feel the remnants of her fear. but she manages to at least look like it isn't really affecting her. chin up, spine straight. sword ready. square in the eye. ]
Again.

He curls his arms into a spiral so that the three blades cross-just so, and without moving his feet at all, throws them all outward in a swirling rush of cutting air - a 108 Pound Cannon, easy to dodge and much harder to block head-on.]

another glyph tugging her away, to the side, and several more that sends her charging straight towards him, rapier out. ]

of course, the more he lashes out, the more weiss realizes she has to do something other than block — he seems to be a monster of stamina, and that had always been weiss' weakest point, so after some quick thinking, weiss decides to change it up a little. the clashing of blades is soon petered off — one, two large blocks of ice erupt from their swords' impact, and though he's been shown to easily break free of them before, weiss attempts to use his momentum and swings to distract him. she's got two swords already encased in ice, suspended from the ground, and unless he wants to risk slowly his momentum in the swing of another, he'll have to leave them there. all the while, weiss continues to slash through the air herself.
and, if things work out well enough in her favor, he might be left with just one blade that she'll attempt to knock right out of his hand.
fingers crossed. ]

He pulls back to leave Wadou Ichimonji jammed into the ice for a moment and swings his non-icy blade around in a huge sweep to disengage her. She had the momentum for a moment, but he's ready to turn it back again, and shifts his whole body toward her confrontationally. With a dangerous grin, he flexes and busts his other arm free. Zoro can't stop, won't stop, and even if he's blocking with his own body, he'll keep blocking and making openings for himself. That, really, is what makes him so feared in his world.]

with a grunt, she throws an arm out, summoning another glyph. it pulls her back, creating distance between them again. with a spin of the chamber on her sword, it glows red once more and, just like before, a sudden lash causes a large burst of fire to erupt from it, headed straight towards him. ]

He's down to two swords, which only changes his style slightly. Putting both forward like bull horns, he plunges straight in, head on, and slashes them both toward the center sharply. If she blocks it, he'll follow up with more parallel Nigiri swings, down, left, and right.]
