Shopping District

[So. Things are still super weird. Everything about this colony and everything he’s learned over the last couple of days has been very strange to him, not to mention stressful.

Initially when he woke up a few days later shivering he had assumed maybe he was sick. Not that that had mattered. He burrowed further in his blankets and that was that…except that it wasn’t. Everything felt cold, even Baymax activating his internal heater did nothing for him.

So he left. He took off, taking his robot on the train with him and headed for the shopping district. Over the course of the day he’s wandering with Baymax, occasionally burying himself further and further into piles of clothing. Sorry if he startles you by being there.

On the other hand, taking Baymax anywhere is always a hassle. When Hiro’s not trying to warm up, he’s chasing after the robot, occasionally bumping into people.]

Baymax! Wait! [Baymax might not be fast, but it’s easy to get separated from him. Heads up, he’s not at all watching where he’s running. He might just run right into you…or through you. Or through a building. Well that’s not normal, is it? Who knows where he’ll end up.]

CERES Game Center

[Being nearly invisible is kinda bad. He’s almost completely faded by the time he makes his way to the CERES game center with Baymax at his side. The robot and invisible-boy are blocking the entrance to ViViD today due to the fact that Hiro’s sitting just outside of it scowling at it, moving around the system to try and figure it out without going inside. If he sees someone passing by though or even approaching to play, he’ll catch their attention, trying to grab them by the arm and phasing right through.]

Oh! [She does notice the look, but...doesn't really seem to focus on it.] Well that's lucky. I suppose that having him might make the transition easier. [She smiles again, gently and in a hopefully reassuring way.]

What's his name? I may have met him.

Maybe a little. [He's blowing that off because ha...haaaa.] His name's Tadashi. Taller, short dark hair, kinda dresses like a huge nerd? It's pretty hard to miss him if you've ever met him.

I've seen him on the networks. [They formally meet at the baseball game.] And I'm not sure you can judge him on fashion, Hiro-kun.

[Not in that hoodie.]

[He just points a finger at her, lifting his eyebrows in a protest.] At least I don't wear grandpa cardigans.

[It's his brother, he's allowed to make fun of him. However, credit's deserved where credit's due.] He's actually the one who built Baymax first. So I guess he has some good ideas. [No don't let him fool you, Rei, give him an inch and he'll gush about how cool his brother is and his projects are for miles.] He says he's been working on creating new CYBuddies here, too.

Another roboticist then? That's wonderful. And if he's good enough to make a marvel like Baymax? Well...I'm sure he'll have no trouble with something like CYBuddies. [Her lips do twitch in genuine amusement, a laugh barely repressed.]

They're cute, but...I keep wondering if CERES is going to turn mine against me.

Yup. We used to build a lot of stuff together back home, but Baymax was his own project for school. [He pats the robot's belly fondly. Tadashi created Baymax and Hiro took him and made him better. Sounds about right.] Tadashi's already made a couple of CYBuddies from what he told me.

[And privately he can agree they're cute, but it's the latter that catches his attention.]

What makes you think they'd turn one against you though?

That sounds really nice, honestly. [It makes her a little jealous on the behalf of all the Sailor Senshi. None of them had a sibling save Usagi, and none of them had particularly happy or healthy home-lives. But only a little.]

They've done that before. There've been incidents where they've gone haywire and zapped us or attacked us. And other incidents with CERES technology as well.

[The...uh...aggressive sex toys, for one, but Hiro looks a liiiittle young to be told about that.]

Yeah. It was. [Was. He's not even giving her a chance to question that though because she's talking about faulty tech and that's a lot more interesting and safer to discuss.]

If things can glitch out, it kinda makes you wonder how much of the CERES tech we can actually tamper with and modify. I've kinda thought about it but I haven't had a chance to really check everything out. I'm supposed to be repairing CYBuddies, not breaking them further. [Though he would like to. But he won't get paid for that yet.

Also thank you, Rei, let's not completely scar him for life yet.] But I know what to start looking into now.

I knew a few people have tried, and have done a bit of hacking into their systems. However, I'm...not really adept at it, and I'd be a bad person to ask. Tieria-san might know more.

[But then, he was about to do something stupid and get himself kidnapped and/or tortured.]

Maybe I should turn that into a "who" I should start looking into then. [How hard can it be to track somebody down in the colony? And if he can't find the dude, maybe Tadashi can.] Thanks for the tip-off. If I run into Tieria I'll ask a couple of questions. [He looks down at his hand though that's suddenly gone see-through again.] ...as soon as I figure out how to fix this problem.

[She bows and takes a step back, disengaging.] It was nice meeting you, Hiro-kun.

[And he's already turning to continue, too. He needs to get moving again to find more answers, but this was a good break.]
