[ In an attempt to cheer people up after the whole Nexus Code fiasco, as well as Vegeta blowing stuff up, the management of the Little Sister cafe has decided to hold a special event! Posted all around the colony are posters which read "♥ TAKE A PHOTO WITH ALL FIVE OF OUR ANIMAL COSPLAYING WAITRESSES AROUND CEREALIA, AND YOU GET A FREE MEAL OF YOUR CHOICE! ♥" There are also some other posters with pictures of Athena, Ai, Rio, Maya, and Peko just so everybody knows what they look like, and below has the same promo written on it.

So come one, come all! Enjoy this little event, and enjoy a delicious free meal at the end of the day ♥! ]

[ Athena's been assigned to roam around the many train stations of colony in her sheep costume (warning for horrible art). She's also holding a sign that reads "Come take a photo with me! Baa!" and right below it is the Little Sister cosplay cafe's logo. Athena's gotten over her shyness when it comes to people taking pictures of her in various costumes. In fact, she wants people to take photos of her now... what a loser.

To anybody who's passing by who doesn't greet her or even remotely pay attention to her, she'll try to get their attention by calling out to them. ]

Hey!

[ And running to them to block their way. GOOD JOB, ATHENA. ]

Are you in a hurry? The cosplay cafe's got a treat for you!

[Rei passes right on by without a second thought. It's not that she doesn't like Athena, or think that the costumes are cute, it's just a matter of noticing it. After all, a person in a costume is just that, and she's got stuff on her mind that's more important than costumes.

Athena's initial shout? Doesn't phase her. Because why would it? Did they have business with her? No...

And then there's a sheep girl in the way. An cute blink...train of thought derailed...]

[ she waves a hand. she'd wave both but her other hand is holding the sign. ]

Oh, it's you, Rei. We have a promo happening right now at the cafe. You should join!

[You know what's an effective marketing technique? Cute, smiling girls in cosplay asking for you to take a picture with them. You know what's not an effective marketing technique? Peko.

She has cute down pat, whether she wants to be or not; her silver braids match the pointy grey wolf ears and fluffy tail she's sporting, and the dress is, of course, the actual nice quality one might expect from a café that specializes in cosplay. She even has some black makeup on her nose and little whiskers down on in makeup. The sword bag on her bag isn't exactly cute, but it still suits her.

Her smiling, on the other hand, could use some work. Still looking vaguely uncomfortable at being out in public in costume, she's holding a sign that says "Come take a photo with me! Arooo!", she can be found walking around the Marketplace, occasionally reaching up to adjust the ears on her head. If someone unfortunately wanders too close, Peko immediately changes track to approach.]

Excuse me. Are you interested in a special treat?

[That's definitely a rehearsed line!

...Though it's worth mentioning that if it's someone she knows well, assuming she spots them in time, she's immediately turning (literal) tail and walking away as briskly as possible. Those braids are just as distinctive from the back, but maybe they won't notice...? No one must know.]

[If it was anyone else, Rei's reaction would be to say something sarcastic, to comment about how she wasn't even interested in that sort of thing. But this was Athena, and the way she said that was just...so...ridiculous that even stoic Rei, the girl so refined that she claims to never fart, bursts out laughing.]

[ He didn't get most of what she just said there as he dropped his Cerevice from the rush of excitement. He crouches to pick it up, but stays down there a few seconds more to check if it's not broken. Oh man, stay cool, Jaune... a photo with hottie Peko Pekoyama..!! ]

Whew... It's not broken! [ He looks up at her - somehow this looks just as embarrassing, as if he's proposing to her or something. ] But I'd be happy to, Peko!

At least Peko doesn't look embarrassed. It's just a picture with Jaune for the cosplay café. Taking pictures with customers within the café itself usually goes along with it, if they pay a little extra. She has her own Cerevice out, too, just in case anyone who takes a picture with her doesn't show up to the café, she can at least prove she did try to do her job.]

I'm glad. I do not want to let the others down, after all. Come here.

[ After the chain of unfortunate events that exploded all over Cerealia, Mitsutada's mostly coped with it by pretending that nothing strange had happened at all. Going out for groceries, working, visiting his friends - his schedule became a whole whirlwind of socializing. Clearly, nothing's out of place.

While he might have expected most of his friends to visit the Marketplace sooner or later, what he doesn't expect is the combination of Peko and her clothes. Those certainly don't look like grocery shopping clothes.

[Pretending nothing strange had happened at all is a totally valid coping tactic! It seems to be what the cosplay café has gone for, after all. While Peko isn't sure that having something like this is exactly helping the city, she was reassured that it would... boost morale, or something. She's still not quite sure how that works, but alright.

Oh no, Mitsutada- but it's too late. When he calls her name, it's too late to run away. If he's already seen her in costume, there's no point trying to hide now.

So instead, she turns around, still holding that adorable sign, and resting her other hand on her hip. She can't cross her arms with this in her hand, so this will have to do.]

Ah, Mitsutada. [As if nothing strange is going on here.] Good morning.

[ He jumps up and immediately stands behind her, hands on her shoulders as he leans his head down next to hers. This friendly giant is 6'1 after all. ]

[At 5'8", Peko's tall for a Japanese girl, but Jaune definitely towers over her. At least she trusts him behind her, setting her sign down at her feet and holding up her Cerevice to take a picture.]
