[ In an attempt to cheer people up after the whole Nexus Code fiasco, as well as Vegeta blowing stuff up, the management of the Little Sister cafe has decided to hold a special event! Posted all around the colony are posters which read "♥ TAKE A PHOTO WITH ALL FIVE OF OUR ANIMAL COSPLAYING WAITRESSES AROUND CEREALIA, AND YOU GET A FREE MEAL OF YOUR CHOICE! ♥" There are also some other posters with pictures of Athena, Ai, Rio, Maya, and Peko just so everybody knows what they look like, and below has the same promo written on it.

So come one, come all! Enjoy this little event, and enjoy a delicious free meal at the end of the day ♥! ]

The café I work at is having a special event.

[Maybe she sounds a little defensive? She definitely sounds a little defensive. She actually does enjoy working there, though parading around in public is... not her favorite thing.]

I believe the manager said something along the lines of "cute animals are always popular."

[He manages to keep from sneering too severely, glancing away from his classmate. Ugh...disgraceful.]

So your manager is someone like that...

[Still though, can't really be too upset with Peko. If it's for her job...that's better than the few alternatives he was immediately worried about.]

[Distasteful, if not a little offensive, but he stops himself from being that blunt. She's...sort of a friend. So there's no reason to be rude about this like he might be with someone he didn't know as well. Instead he'll sigh and try to better explain his stance on the matter.]

A human is a human and a beast is a beast. To have young females parade around as an animal is an insult to both. There are a variety of ways to attract attention that do not require making animals a sexual affair in such a way. However using such costumes is popular, and will likely - [And unfortunately.] - achieve the desired reaction.

[Well, she appreciates his honesty, anyway, even as her lips set into a thin, unhappy line. She'd thought they were cute, herself, since something like this is the closest she tends to get to fluffiness, but she gets his point, especially coming from the Super High School Level Animal Breeder.]

[And again, mysterious manager is not wrong. There will probably be a lot of smiles from it. To steer away from the topic though, to avoid making either of them feel bad, he'll look the sign over instead.]

What sort of event is it?

[Gundam Tanaka? Pay attention to fliers and posters? Never. They'd need a big picture of a cute animal plastered on it to get his attention.]

It is something like a scavenger hunt. If you can find all five of us and take a picture with us, you can receive a free meal from the café. It is advertising for the café, and I think some people would find it... fun.

I am a little worried about the pictures, though... I still have difficulty smiling for them.

[And they're all dressed as animals for this, right? What a café.]

Presumably the photo with a cute girl, or the free meal, would be incentive enough for taking part correct? Or are you required to smile for these pictures?

[It's okay, he understands the struggle. ...sort of. He doesn't really worry about the fact that his smiles look more like evil smirks or the grin of someone who probably wants to consume your soul. Then again he doesn't often smile for pictures in the first place.]

[They didn't specify, after all, so it should be fine? Is what she's hoping, anyway.

...Also wait, did Gundam just call her cute?? Nah, he must just be speaking of her coworkers in general, not her specifically.]

But anyway, I think that is the idea behind it. I realize it is an imposition, but... would you be willing to be in a photo with me?

[After all, it's too late. Gundam's seen her in her costume, so she might as well prove to the other girls that she can do this, too-!]

[No, she really does. See, look everyone! She can get pictures with people even without smiling for them!

Peko looks up at him for a moment -- so tall -- before moving in next to him and standing on tip-toe for a moment. Yes, that should do.

Then she has a thought.]

Ah... would the Devas consent to be in a photograph, as well?

[Extra charm points... or something.]

[Noticing the attempt to raise her height, he actually takes a step back to lean down a little for her. Though when she asks about the Devas he stands up again and stares at her for a moment.

And then he nudges at his scarf, trying to coax them out. Three of the four poke their heads out. Predictably Jum-P is the one still hidden away.]

Would you care to have your pictures taken with Pekoyama, my kings?

[There's some chittering amongst themselves as they apparently decide on this. Or maybe they are just chittering in general, in response to their hamdad. Either way he's waiting while they chat it out.

They disappear for a moment, some rustling seen in the scarf, and then all four of them reappear, this time moving to pose proudly on Gundam's shoulders and...head, in Jum-P's case. Cham-P is too fat to share a shoulder with the sleepy ham.]

Excellent! It appears they would indeed like to join in.

[THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST PICTURE EVER the hams are in it. Also these two losers.

Peko's careful to set her sign down and hold up her Cerevice to take the picture, making sure to get all four hamsters in the shot. There's not much warning, since she's assuming Gundam's expression is just fine how it is, before she snaps the picture.]

Ah- there we are. Thank you, Tanaka. And please thank the Devas for me, as well.

[His expression is just as stoic (and evil) as it usually is. This is surely the cutest and most serious picture in existence. Once it's taken and he can step back from her, he and the four Devas all nod.]

It is our pleasure.

[He's not going anywhere just yet though, offering her a pensive look, like he has something to say or ask but isn't sure how to word it just yet. After a moment though he gets it out.]

Peko doesn't notice the pensive look at first, checking the picture to make sure it came out properly before moving to slip her Cerevice back inside her dress somewhere. Don't think too hard about it-- ah?]

Of course, if you would like. [Pulls the Cerevice back out to send 0217004.png to him, though she adds as she's typing,] And I suppose if you would like to stop by the café... I could decorate a printed copy for you.
