[OPEN] I'm in here
Who: Mary Kozakura (
immobileyes) and YOU
When: IC 2/27-3/01
Where: Residential District, right by the not-so-standing apartments
What: Mary tries to dig up things from her fallen apartment over the course of a few days, success is varied
Rating/Warning: None!
[ It was hard enough, waiting for the water level to go down enough so that Mary could return to where her apartment was (had been) without risk of drowning. Seto's hoodie, the jacket Hiro had given her... they were the only things she'd been able to find at the time, but now she can search for anything remaining from their apartment.
So feel free to come across a tiny teenager over the afore-mentioned days, getting drizzled on and trying to pry up pieces of the smaller rubble - and HNNNNNGHing at the bigger pieces of debris that she can't budge at all - as she hunts about. The stuffed animal she'd received from Lily is gone, the headband from Kaoru and Shiho has been twisted and bent beyond repair when she miraculously finds that... the dried flowers, from the bouquet Elza had given her... no sign of them. All of her tea...
Mary almost wants to cry, but not yet. She just keeps looking.
And don't be alarmed if she seems worn-out when you see her. It's not some weird elemental effect, she's just terrible at stamina. ]

I will, I don't plan on overexerting it.
[granted, his definition of overexertion is different than most people's. mary doesn't need to know that, however. after a moment, his gaze shifts from the book and onto the one holding it.]
What sorts of fairy tales are these?
no subject
[ GOOD STUFF, and she's very fond of all of it. ]

[then again, different worlds mean different types of fairy tales. amazing as he is, not even flynn can know about all the fairy tales there are.]
Which story is your favorite?
no subject
[ SHE HAS A BIG LIST, YOU SEE. ]
no subject
[TELL HIM YOUR LIST. he'll happily listen. fairy tales will be a nice distraction from the mess all around them, too.]

Once upon a time, there was a princess who lost the golden ball she was playing with in a pond. Hearing her cry, a frog came up to ask her what the matter was, and she told him that her favorite ball had been lost in the water. "If I get your ball back," the frog said, "I'll want a favor granted. For three days, you must let me share your food, sit beside you, and rest in your bed."
The princess didn't like the idea of any of that, but she agreed to it, since she thought he wouldn't be able to find her ball anyway.
But, as it turns out, he did.
"Don't forget your promise," he said, but the princess had already run off with her ball.

Did the princess ever end up fulfilling the promise?

And he did this for three days. Then, on the third night...
[ DRAMATIC PAUSE. ]

What happened then?

[ Mary. ]
But when she awoke in the morning, she found a very handsome prince asleep in the bed where the frog had been. He woke then, and told her that he had been put under a spell by a wicked fairy, who decreed that he would not return to his true form until a princess had let him share her meals and her bed for three nights. And now that the spell was broken, they could be married and live happily ever after.

[granted, the story has A LOT of flaws but flynn's not inconsiderate enough to bring them up right this moment. unlike some people, he isn't a jerk.]
You're a good storyteller, miss.
