[The voice comes from a window nearby. HI, FRIEND... Kashuu (who probably gave Yamato directions to the apartment and then insisted on accompanying him because he can't take his eyes off this punk for a second, apparently) is leaning out through one of them, though he's not stuck and dangling precariously like a certain punk.]

—And what's that cat doing out here? Geez, that's dangerous! [He holds his arms out toward it and makes some coaxing noises, at which point the CyBuddy starts making its way over toward the ledge under Kashuu's window, probably internally laughing at Yamato's defeat. Time to scoop this cat up...!] Poor little guy. Your paws are all wet now!

[WHAT ABOUT YAMATO, THOUGH.]

Huh?

[ Looking next to him, WELL HELLO NEIGHBOR! Why's Kashuu's head sticking out the window too, is he stuck? Yamato guesses not since he doesn't seem to be as uncomfortable as the one who wears about eight pairs of clothing at once. Anyway, watching as Kashuu motions the cat over so easily, he just has a feeling this speicifc one doesn't like him like the other hoards of cats he had found earlier today? To be honest, down below are those same twenty cats from before, must have followed them back a long time ago. ]

Hey! Hey, don't take my kill! That's mine! You know that's bad play, Kiyomitsu!

[ Yamato was after that feline but as he talks, he sees that the other uchigatana isn't listening to him. What the fuck DOES IT MATTER IF IT'S PAWS ARE WET!!! Using his sword to close the distance between Kashuu and Yamato, he tries to swipe at the cat in the old "reach and hope you get it" fashion! ]

[UGH WHY DO ALL THESE CATS LIKE YAMATO. Don't they know they're in danger!! Like this poor cat right here. Naturally, he holds it even closer to himself when Yamato leans over to try stabbing it at a distance...]

Don't kill it! This is Sayo's cat, you idiot!

[It hisses in Yamato's general direction from his arms...]

And don't lean over, either. You're gonna fall if you keep reaching!

[HUFFS AND PUFFS... He still wants to help clean off the cat's paws, but he has a duty to help his moron mirror, too. So he'll be disappearing from his window, and a few seconds later, Yamato will hear his voice coming from behind instead.]

How did you even manage to do this?

[ Huh? When did Sayo get a cat! When did this happen! Well listen, Yamato didn't know and if he did — he wouldn't be hanging out the window like he is. When the cat hisses at him, he glares at the feline before mentally taking notes that he knows who chose betray. ]

I can't help that I lean over, if I fall — I fall! [ But he's going to take that damn cat down with him! It's evil? It hissed at him? Yamato is tired af. When Kashuu disappears from the window, Yamato can't believe that Kashuu has left his ass to die. Lord, just take him God. Take your sword, he needs to see Okita-kun in heaven anyway! It isn't long until he hears footsteps and is surprised that Kashuu had came back for him?! ]

... The cat lead me here.. I think it's trying to plot my death.

[OF COURSE HE CAME BACK. He's not cold enough to ditch Yamato's sorry ass on his first day in the colony...]

The cat was just trying to get away from you, probably. He's a good cat, y'know? Don't be mean.

[Don't be mean to Katshuu... But he places said cat back down on the floor (though it still sticks around for some reason, possibly to continue laughing at Yamato). With his hands free, he reaches forward, grabbing hold of the back of his haori with one hand and lifting the window up with the other.]

Come on, come on. Get back in here.

[ Ugh.. hell no.. Yamato doesn't want to come back in. Placing his hands on the ledge so that he can hook onto it and not be pulled back in. ]

You have that cat with you don't you! Make it leave before I go back in, it's mocking me! I think I can even hear it laughing?

[ At the fact that he can feel his haori being pulled, he's also worried that it may be ripped so he has to make sure that Kashuu is careful with it? If anything happens this haori, so help Yamato and God, he's going to go live in a box? Which if he looks down, his nice box is down there! ]

I'll just stay right here!

[WHY IS HE DOING THIS??]

Cats can't laugh! Don't be so weird! [How many times can he call Yamato weird in one day? A mystery... A Lot™ counting the times he's already called him weird behind his back.

Anyway, he tugs on his haori insistently a couple of times, but he is careful enough not to stress the hems. He understands the importance of appearances okay, even if the haori doesn't hold the same sentimental weight for him.]

...You promise you'll come back in if I take the cat out?

[ Is Kashuu sure they don't laugh? Perhaps he hasn't seen his fair share of cats, he hasn't seen the one that haunts Yamato's thots. Aside from that, he doesn't allow himself to get pulled back into the room from how he continues to latch onto the ledge. He doesn't want to, not at this time anyway so all of Kashuu's strength is becoming useless as the uchigatana prompts the flat underside of his on the floor so he can't be pulled so easily. ]

I'm not being weird! I can assure you.. that one.. it's laughing.

[ Why does he always say all this crazy shit? Anyway, when he feels the tugging stop and Kashuu speak again.. he thinks about it. ]

Good thing Kashuu is used to it by now so he can just ignore that entire weird part with an eyeroll. Cats obviously don't laugh!! Yamato is just Weird(er than usual) when it comes to them; he already knows that, so this honestly shouldn't be surprising.]

[And then he'll look down - the cat is winding around his legs down, purring loudly - and nod in the direction of his room down the hall since both of his hands are currently occupied.]

O-kaaay, you gotta go for a little bit! Go, go - you can sleep on my bed. Just be nice to Cupcake.

[Does the cat actually leave? Does it stay?? It's hard to hear little kitty footsteps... Either way, after a few seconds, Kashuu tugs on his haori again.]

He's gone, so lemme pull you in, stupid.

[ Does it leave? It better leave? Who is Cupcake? Ugh, Yamato is tired.

Feeling hands back on his haori, he really doesn't want to be surprised by seeing that the cat is probably still in the room — wanting to make his life hard. Would Kashuu keep it in the room to mess with Yamato? He hopes not. With one more pull, it doesn't take long to get Yamato unstuck from where he was, falling backwards and bringing Kashuu to the ground with him.

It's not such a bad thumb to the ground but Yamato is sure that he's felt worse. Gazing up at the ceiling above him, he blinks just a bit as he closes his eyes. He doesn't want to move from off the floor but he's also wondering something. ]

When will that cat become an outside cat.. it lured me to a window.. isn't that strange?

[ He's talking crazy, just hear him out. ]

Hm.. I'm sorry for bringing you down too, are you okay?

[There's a little startled yelp when Kashuu hits the ground too, but he's not hurt, either. Just surprised and vaguely miffed and glad that the cat actually did leave, since he'd have probably been squashed otherwise. Poor Katshuu...]

Geez... It's an indoor cat, Yasusada, and it's Sayo's so don't touch it. He doesn't even live here most of the time, so it'll be fine.

[Gosh!! Considering Sayo and Kousetsu are living here right now, though, Katshuu is going to be around a lot more than usual... But, sitting upright now! He makes a face when he spots some dust on his sleeve, quickly patting it away.]

Yeah, yeah. You?

[He asks, but he doesn't offer to help Yamato stand back up... Lord.]

[ Ugh no, Yamato is going to stay on the floor? He doesn't have time for this but honestly.. why do they have such an evil cat here? Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, he shakes his head at the thought of an indoor cat. ]

Well, that one seems to have a hidden agenda? Don't you think? How else would it get me through a window? .. [ Perhaps it's a KBC? This is troublesome.. it's time to kill it but not while Kashuu is around it seems. ]

I'm fine, I don't think I would have minded the drop though. But.. [ He's here now, he's staying on the floor. ] We should get rid of the cat.. [ He does try one more time. A for effort. ]

You followed it through the window while it was trying to escape from you! Don't try to pin this on that cat.

[He may sound a little more snappish than usual, but that's just because he always sounds more snappish than usual when Yamato talks cavalierly about things that have to do with death or injury. Don't just fall out of a window...]

I'm telling you, it's Sayo's cat. He's had it longer than you've been here, so leave it alone, got it? You don't even have to treat it nicely, just stop chasing it around the house. ...On second thought, there're a few cats in here that all belong to people, so you shouldn't chase any.

[ Closing his eyes and hearing there are more cats, Kashuu doesn't really think Yamato can live in this place, right? A hand raises to set upon his forehead and he feels a headache forming. ]

There's more.. aah.. I see.. then I'll try my best to avoid them.

[ He's tired of all of this, HE'S TIRED! Why are there so many cats? ] I'm pretty sure all of them are going to be my downfall so I'll eagerly await. [ Leaning up so that his back isn't on the ground anymore, he stares blankly at the wall as he stays in place. Seeing that his vessel is now sitting on the ground, he slowly reaches over in order to grab it and place it back where it needs to be. ]

Can we just put them in a room all to themselves?

[BECAUSE EVERYONE LOVES CATS?? Everyone but Yamato and how was Kashuu supposed to predict he'd eventually mosey his way into the city too, gosh!]

They're not hard to avoid. Most of 'em stick with their owners too, so you probably won't see too many around the apartment. Even I take mine with me when I go to work, see? And there are a couple of us who have dogs or foxes, too.

[Yamato can just make friends with those, instead... BUT UGH it's about time where the fire element effect starts kicking his bad mood away, much to his chagrin. He's still mad that Yamato worried him so much by being late, okay! He's mad, but he can't hold onto it for long, so the sigh that follows sounds more exasperated than irritated.]

I'll take you to get your own if that'll make you feel any better.

[ Yamato likes cats to an extent, he has this sort of love-hate about them. Even though they single handedly ruined his life and made him realize the true feeling of loneliness. He can't help but wonder why they still come to him, unafraid and curious. Sometimes he wonders if they're mocking him and because of that, he sometimes allow them to come and sit near him so that he can dwell in that pain that he is a failure. Sometimes he wishes to act out to show that he still has it within them to defeat one or the other but to be stopped each and every time.. ]

Huh? It's fine, I should have realized it was owned by someone than acting out. My apologies.. [ He sighs just a bit but there's a smile on his face. ] It was my fault, I shouldn't have been so careless. [ Looking to the side as he can see the cat out the corner of his eye, peeking in the room just to look at them. He has given up. ]

Maybe it's laughing at me.. [ Words spoken to himself as he's shocked to hear the next words that leave from his mirror's lips. ]

Huh? I couldn't have you do that, I don't think I did anything good to have one of my own.

[Yamato needs to find a better hobby that doesn't involve angsting around cats or trying to kill them, honestly!!

But the apology seems to be well accepted, and Kashuu just shrugs a little.]

S'fine, as long as you don't do it again. [There isn't even the usual amount of annoyance in his tone when he says that! Wow, not being cranky is hard. He follows Yamato's gaze though, one brow arched as he spots the cat. Maybe they're just attracted to him because cats are buttheads who know exactly which person in a room is allergic or doesn't like cats... ANYWAY--]

Look, d'you want one or not? Forget about whether or not you did anything for it for a sec.

[ Well he can't promise that is why he stays quiet, making sure his vessel is back where it needs to be and begins to hide his hands into the sleeve of his outfit. With a tilt of his head, he takes a moment to think if he really wants to have a pet animal by his side. He isn't so sure what this would mean for him but he points towards the window that he almost fell out of. ]

What about the twenty that followed us home, I could just keep them? [ He guesses Kashuu and them just pick up cats off the street. ]

[YAMATO WHAT THE SHIT. No. No, they don't just pick up cats off the street...]

They might belong to someone else, duh. [Or they might be defective! Defective robot cats!!]

A-ny-way! Shishiou brought us ours back when he was here 'cause he worked at a CyBuddy shop. We can probably still use some coupons there.
