It was like putting a steak in front of a hungry dog. Then warning the dog so it understood if it went for the steak, it would lose it's nice, comfortable home. Then one steak becomes several. The similarity didn't escape him, either, and honestly he didn't know whether to laugh st the irony or hate it.
