![]() ViViD has opened up a new world that new arrivals will be pulled into while frequent players will be invited to check out. This particular setting is the new beta world that CERES is constructing in time for the Hallow's Eve celebrations and festivals. It's a world inhabited by the undead and several ghouls and monsters of typical horror lore. Inside, one will encounter werewolves, lichens, vampires, succubi, incubi, specters, mummies, and so on. They will be on the prowl and eager to attack, but players need only concern themselves with getting through and getting out. At first, players will awaken outside of a large manor supposedly owned by a wealthy noble who is rumored to be practicing strange alchemic experiments within. Many know him simply as The Count. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves being greeted by their guide at the start screen:

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

Here boy! Come here. Let Peggy play with you since this young man isn't exactly willing, hm?
[ She smiled and that dog came wagging its tail and growling, daring her to play tug of war with the arm warmer. Soramaru may live to regret asking for Peggy's advice... ]
no subject
That seems to do the trick and he's suddenly watching the pair of them tug at that arm warmer like it's made of more durable material than it really is.]
Ah, maybe you should— [Yeah, no, that's definitely the sound of tearing fabric.]
no subject
Now look what you've done! Our poor friend here isn't goign to want to play with you again if you keep tearing his things.
[ she glared until the poor beast relented, dropping his half of the torn arm warmer before hanging his head with utter repentance. Picking it up, she frowned and glanced it over before tossing it over to Soramaru. ]
My apologies; that wasn't quite as effective as I had hoped. But, I do have at least some good news for you. [ she smiled ] Once we're finished with ths game, you'll find that your clothing is perfectly intact and useable.
[ she ruffled the poor werewolf's head and winked. ]
Now, why don't you come over here and let our poor friend know that things are all right, hm?
no subject
Oh, okay...
[He catches the warmer easily enough, inspecting it curiously. So it was going to fix itself...? Ack, and then he's kind of flailing just a tiny bit because he's obviously not good with these creatures at all!!]
That's really not necessary!
no subject
And why shouldn't it be necessary? Do you have something against dogs?
[ although she might allow him a small concession if he points out their werewolf nature, but honestly. One can't help the moon. ]
no subject
I... don't think these are ordinary dogs...
[He doesn't actually know what the frick they are but dogs?? Definitely not dogs. Maybe if a dog and a ball had a mutant reject child.]
