 ViViD has opened up a new world that new arrivals will be pulled into while frequent players will be invited to check out. This particular setting is the new beta world that CERES is constructing in time for the Hallow's Eve celebrations and festivals. It's a world inhabited by the undead and several ghouls and monsters of typical horror lore. Inside, one will encounter werewolves, lichens, vampires, succubi, incubi, specters, mummies, and so on. They will be on the prowl and eager to attack, but players need only concern themselves with getting through and getting out. At first, players will awaken outside of a large manor supposedly owned by a wealthy noble who is rumored to be practicing strange alchemic experiments within. Many know him simply as The Count. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves being greeted by their guide at the start screen:

"I won't run away, so take your time coming at me."
The night after Soramaru had come back from infiltrating the prison gate, his most rebellious move to date, Tenka had made them all sleep in a pile in some form of brotherly bonding - but also because he felt Soramaru running farther away from him more than ever. As much as he believes that his brother will one day surpass him, and as much as he is just waiting for that to happen, he almost wishes that he could be his protector for a while longer.
The next day, Tenka had been sentenced to death.
Yet Soramaru's grin is answered by Tenka's own, coupled with a short laugh. Ha...
When he reaches a hand up to Soramaru's head this time, it's not without a playful ruffle of his hair.]
Wouldn't miss it for anything.
[ . . . . is this what Sousei meant by saying that he needs to spend more time with his brothers? He needs to never run away, never sign away his life when there are other options- options that let him watch his brothers grow older and happier as the days go by.]
... I'm sticking around. You can't get rid of me this time. Not even if you tried.

I'll hold you to that, [he says quietly. His grin falters, then slips into a slight frown. As touching as this reunion is, it's still missing someone important.]
... And Chuutarou? He's not with you, is he?
[Discomfort curls at the pit of his stomach, but he wills it from growing any further. Tenka was here and Soramaru had apparently arrived not too long after. There was no way his younger brother was gone. Not in the way this place had told him.]

He's not here. {He shakes his head slowly, admitting that.] But that's alright, it gets kinda dangerous. He'd be way too excited about having new adventures.
[So Tenka just musters up a smile for his younger brother. One that he tries very, very hard to mean.]
He'll show up eventually though. It's like how he's always late for dinner. But he'll come around eventually. I don't doubt it at all.

Yeah, you're right. [He manages a smile of his own, strained as it may be at the corners. Being away from his little brother even for just a little while was enough to leave him feeling uneasy.
But he had to believe they'd see Chuutarou again. After all, despite an execution, a serial killer, and a cursed demon snake, they had somehow found their way back together in the end.
Something else catches his attention, though. He's learned firsthand that things can get dangerous, but to what extent? And how frequently??]

Of course he doesn't mention how much he misses Chuutarou now, especially now that two out of the three brothers have gathered. Did his brothers feel something similar when he'd been executed? This feeling of an empty space in their family that may or may not be filled-
And yet he has to be certain that Chuutarou will come back to them one day.
So instead he moves on to a different topic, thinking on it for a moment before he shrugs.]
About a month. Sousei and I arrived at the same time and we've been living together ever since. Nishiki-chan showed up a few weeks later and then we took her in too.

Tenka takes a moment then to blink slowly, looking down at his little brother with a blank expression.
He was a teenager once and he doesn't remember being this oblivious. After all, he had girlfriends growing up, even though they didn't exactly last long....]

Except admittedly yes, Tenka would rather get back home than talk any more about Soramaru's teenage urges so he nods and fishes out the device he got from this place, pulling up the map on it.]
You got one of these, right? If you tap the buttons like this [he'll repeat it, just for his little brother] it'll tell you where the exit it.
Basically, this place is kind of like a dream - it's not the real world. [ . . . . . and then he pauses, tilting his head.] Does that make sense?

No, it doesn't, [he replies. Soramaru pulls out his own device and turns it over in his hands before doing as Tenka had shown him. Sure enough, it brings up the exit. Another weird thing that he can't understand or even begin to wrap his mind around.] ... But it's not like I expect much of anything to make sense here. Not yet, anyway.
[Being pulled out his world, there being different worlds in the first place, time shenanigans, dreams but not dreams, and weird future technology... Yeah. It was a lot to take in on the first day.]

[Then he pockets the device easily before he moves to go toward the direction of the exit. At the very least, he's rather confident in being able to explain away the initial confusion. This place has gotten dangerous and worrisome on occasions, but he's also confident in his own abilities to keep his little brother safe.
Though as they're walking, he seems to think on it, laugh a bit, and add-]

Ah, no. Between the two of you, I can guess who's been doing most of the work.
