Who: Dipper
cryptologic and Mabel
ineptus
When: Shortly after the intro log (8th or 9th?)
Where: The Pines Apartment
What: Proper reunion time!
Rating/Warning: None!
[So the minute they were both released from ViViD and Mabel could find Dipper again, she of course wanted to take him back to her place to explain everything. Get him all settled in again, ready to take on CERES and this whole place. Waddles was of course ecstatic to see the other half of the Pines twins, greeting him immediately when they entered the apartment, and he was joined by a fox who also seemed pretty happy to see the boy! Yes, a fox.
The main room of the apartment definitely looks like something they'd own together. It was mostly decorated by Mabel, but items Dipper owned before are also set up here and there. Maps on the walls, historical and interesting looking things on the computer desk or the coffee table in front of the small couch, things like that. Joining these items are cards with Christmas and Valentine's day themes, various baskets that look like they used to be from gifts, stuffed animals, some crafting items, jewelry...it's pretty cluttered, but in a mildly organized way. The whole room is a rainbow of pastel colors (though just the week previously it was neon). There's a small kitchen with some fruit on the counters in bowls, as well as a big bowl of candy, and what looks to be like a bathroom and single bedroom down a hall connected to the living room.]
So this is it! Welcome to Mabel Central, population: the cutest girl around!
[She seems a little nervous as she says this, chuckling though it sounds kind of forced.]
Do you...wanna sit down? I'll go get us some snacks!
[This is apparently a no choice option, seeing as she heads to the kitchen immediately after saying that.]

no subject
but walking into this apartment with mabel is a whole different brand of weird. maybe it's because while the world outside the door is completely foreign and new, in here there are traces of them he can identify. he gets the logic of how this place is organized, because it's how they would set things up. he doesn't even have to think about it - it's just intuitive. he used to live here, and he can tell.
but the furniture and decor don't stir any memories. they don't bring anything to the front of his mind like he might've hoped. were those lost memories gone for good?
...had she really been staying here by herself the whole time he was gone? ]
Huh? - Oh, yeah - snacks. Snacks sound great. Since you're...already getting them.
[ he shakes off his chronic worry for the moment, hopping onto the couch and looking around at every little detail he can see. he almost feels like he's come back from the dead. which is sort of true, if you believed CERES, anyway. ]
