[It's been several days now since they ended up in the jungle and Naoki-- well, he can't claim that he's used to it here, but at the very least he's learned that most everything's out to get them. It's just like home.

Well, except back home the plants weren't out to get him as well.

Like right now, as Naoki heads through the jungle back to meet up with Ruby and Yang. Yurlungur is a flickering, rainbow shape at his side, occasionally slowing to peer around the with round, luminous eyes. Naoki doesn't know what to expect, but Yurlungur's sharp noise draws his attention and he turns just in time for a vine to whip out at him.]

Whoa-- [In a second, three vines are around Yurlungur, another catching tight around Naoki's wrist. This is a new one. Yurlungur is much more vocal, making angry demon snake noises!!]

[ Well, it's a good thing Yang decided to make this a little less one-sided. Because as soon as the vines make their move, there's a hand, reaching out to grab a few more as they lunge for their 'victims'.

It also seems as though she's brought a familiar face. ]

Oh, no you don't-- Ruby, can you get the ones on the right?

[ SHE'S JUST GOING TO YANK HER HANDFUL IN HALF FIRST... ]

[undaunts]

On it, sis!

[It takes Ruby all of a moment to neatly swing her scythe forward, severing the vines on the right with a quick, clean movement. There are times when having a sharp object as your weapon is really helpful.]

Heya, Naoki, how's it going?

[masakados]

[Oh hey. Naoki blinks at both familiar attacks and that very helpful scythe swishing by him. He raises his now-freed hand in greeting, looking no worse for wear.

He barely looks frazzled. Yurlungur is the one twisting around and spitting angrily at the now-severed vines, electricity crackling along his body.]

Going a lot better now. Thanks, you two.

[In fact, he'll just catch one as it's about to head Ruby's way.]

We thought you might be getting lonely without us, so we decided to cut the trip short-- it's okay, Yurly, they're dead now!

[ Hold on, let's go reassure the snake. ]

[undaunts]

We've gotcha covered!

[As per usual. RWBY sisters are on the case. Ruby just twirls her scythe once more, slicing through a few more too-close vines, and then skips a little closer.]

[masakados]

[Yurlungur makes another upset kind of sound as he coils himself through the air around Yang. 8( LADY-FIEND EVERYTHING WAS BAD.]

You've got excellent timing. Are you sure you didn't wait in the shadows for the best moment? [Watch out Ruby you're going to get a hair ruffle.]

[flaredo]

[ Come here, baby, let the lady-fiend rub one of your heads until you feel better-- ]

If we'd done that, we would've had a more dramatic entrance. And poses.

[undaunts]

And one-liners!

[You know, as you do. Ruby just skips over to Naoki's other side, grinning.]

So, now that we've conquered the vines and Yang's comforting Yurlungur, what do we do now?

[masakados]

[Yurlungur's the most spoiled snake and Naoki's giving him such a look for a moment...]

Did you guys have anything in particular you wanted to do in this untamed alien jungle?

[flaredo]

Well, I think we still wanted to find Zwei, but we don't have a giant binder full of stuff to go through. [ For once.

And it's fine, Naoki, the snake will calm down faster like this. ]

[undaunts]

I should've made a binder for things I want to do in this untamed alien jungle.

[Solemnly.

Seriously.]

[masakados]

...Let's go looking through the jungle, since you guys are woefully binder unprepared.

He's smiling before giving Yurlungur a narrow look like all right snakey you've whined your way up to Yang long enough. The demon makes a noise before he reluctantly detaches himself and flits on over to his boss.]

[flaredo]

I don't see you packing binders either, mister.

[ But sure, she'll give the sister a nudge before she jogs over to join Naoki. ]

[undaunts]

[Following riiiight along, still looking a little distressed.]

I could've put something together if I'd just known...

[masakados]

You know, I think we can probably leave that lamenting until later.

[Naoki gives Yang a pleased look once she's closer, turning his gaze briefly to the vines... or the remains of the vines.]

...Do we wanna go deeper?

[Into the uncharted jungle?]

[flaredo]

[ Be even more pleased, Naoki, she's reaching for your hand-- ]

Yeah, let's! If Zwei is here, he's gotta be deeper in, or we would've found him by now.

[undaunts]

Deeper, let's go deeper!

[That's one more vote for into the uncharted jungle.]

Into the depths of the monster-filled colorful jungle, yayyyy!

[masakados]

You guys are really my kind of people.

[SO FONDLY as he meets Yang's hand halfway with his own, holding it securely.]

[flaredo]

I'd hope so. We're awesome.

[ And so modest, as she gives their linked hands a cheery swing. ]

And we can all take on a ton of monsters, easy.

[undaunts]

Yep, yep! I kiiind of hope we do find some monsters.

...That's not weird, right.

[masakados]

I'd call it an acceptable level of weird.

[As Naoki merrily keeps up the swinging of his and Yang's hands...]

I think we all know you're itching for some action, Ruby.

[ She would be too, if she didn't have Naoki's hand to hold, but even Yang's eager to work off some energy.

Which is good, because soon enough-- ]

Do you guys hear that?

[ The... rising swell of... chittering, in the distance? ]

[undaunts]

...You guys are gross--

[Referencing the handswinging...but she doesn't have much time to talk about that before the chittering happens, and she reaches for her scythe, preparing for a monstrous battle when..........

There are those freaky teeth things flying everywhere all of a sudden.

Aaaaaahhh aaahhhhh.]

[THEY'RE NOT GROSS except they kind of are and Naoki's about to make a comment when the--

What is this.]

What are these? What again?

[Does he need to blast them?? He's currently pondering it while Yurlungur is going to get to pondering whether or not he can eat them.]

They like to divebomb you and get stuck in your hair and they bite and yes, we're probably gonna have to get rid of 'em.
