[01] put on your Sunday clothes when you feel down and out
Who: Wall-E and YOU!
When: Sundayof course
Where: Residential District
What: A little robot is doing some important work, but in order to get it done, we need to go knocking on some people's doors here.
Rating/Warning: N/A, will update as necessary?
[It's a nice and quiet Sunday, not a lot going on. However, if you have chosen to spend this day relaxing at home, you might be able to hear some noise--or rather, music, coming from somewhere outside of the door of your residence here:]
Put on your Sunday clothes,
There's lots of world out there!
Get out the brilliantine and dime cigars
We're gonna find adventure in the evening air
Girls in white in a perfumed night
Where the lights are as bright as the stars!
[Soon enough, you'll hear a knock upon your door. Upon opening it, you'll be greeted by Wall-E here, who will offer a small wave and do one of two things:
A. Attempt to roll right on past you and go straight into your house, leaving behind a large garbage bin on wheels out in the hallway. He seems to be a robot on a mission, looking around for something. Hopefully you are someone who keeps their trash somewhere out in a noticeable spot, because that's what Wall-E's here for. Otherwise, you might end up having a nosy robot starting to poke around your things when looking for your garbage can here.
or
B. He'll take a second to turn off the music playing, and then starts digging around in a container that he hoists off his back for a moment. Once he finds what he's looking for, he holds it out for you to look at: it looks like a business card that someone was nice enough to put together for him (probably after too many attempts of Plan A made it quickly apparent that he needed a different approach instead of just going into people's houses without proper explanation), stating that he's a "Door to Door Trash Compactor" and that he's here to take care of your garbage for you today.
He'll give you a moment to look at it before he then speaks.]
Traaash?
[Is it okay if he comes inside for a moment to do some cleaning? Or, barring that, if you could bring it out here and he'll take care of it for you right here outside your door?]

Yeah, that is a good song. English, right? What's it called-? [ Out of curiosity. ]

Of course, he can't quite play and stop the audio on a dime perfectly here, so there are a few broken words that can be heard before he finds it, and when he hits play again, the music comes in to say--]
Put on your Sunday clothes-- [And then he hits stop right as that last word is said, looking back up to Inaba. Isn't it nice and convenient that the name of the song makes an appearance in the song itself?]
no subject
Ah, I see... is that your favorite song?
no subject
He then pushes some buttons again: from the look of it, fast-forwarding this time. There's some momentary warbling fragments of sound from Hello Dolly that plays once or twice when he stops and plays to see where he's at, before fast-forwarding past the noise until--]
"Young man, are you trying to tell me that after 28 years in Yonkers, you've fallen in love with this young lady in just ONE day?
"Oh no, officer, I didn't fall in love with Miss Irene Molloy of this city in just a day, it was much quicker than that--"
[This time, he doesn't try to skip through this dialogue to get to the song, allowing the audio to play now as he once again watches Inaba to see what her reaction to this one is.]

[ She can't help but laugh lightly, but it's not that she's making fun of WALL-E for it. ]
That song is pretty cute. [ And very romantic, mind you, but rather unrealistic. ] Hey, do you want to hear a song I like?
no subject
[At that, Wall-E eagerly nods. Yes, of course he would love to hear any songs that you would recommend!]
no subject
[ She pulls out her cell phone and goes through her list of music before she starts this rather catchy song. ]
no subject
[That song is definitely very different than the music he's used to hearing, but he listens with rapt attention nonetheless. He's not sure what to think of it at first, but by the time song concludes, he's gesturing excitedly to her phone again.
It's a little hard to tell whether or not he's asking if you have any other songs on there, or if he's asking if you could play the same song one more time for him, but either way, it looks like he's eager to hear more.]
no subject
Alright, alright -- give me a second, here. [ She pulls up a softer, calmer song than the previous one on her phone. How's this? ]
no subject
[This sounds really nice. He even closes his eyes as he listens, just allowing himself to focus solely on the music for a moment. Once the song ends, he opens his eyes and nods in what appears to be approval. You have good taste in music, Miss!]
no subject
I don't think I caught your name.
no subject
Waallyyy! ["WALL-E", as she might noticed printed on his chest here, even sticks out a hand to her, offering a handshake. It's nice to meet you, Inaba!]
no subject
[ Oh, and that's when she sees his name. ]
Ah, WALL-E. Nice to meet you. [ Just give her a second to crouch down to his height so she can give him a proper handshake. ] I have lots of songs like the ones you just heard. If you want more of them, I can send it to you through the CEREVice.
no subject
[Yes, that would be wonderful! He would love to have more music on the go to listen to...
...granted, he's still sort of trying to figure out how the CEREVice even works, but surely he will find a way to get it to play any music that Inaba sends him!]
no subject
[ To which she flashes a thumbs up in approval. ] And you can send me some music, too. You know how to, right?
no subject
[Hang on a sec, he'll take out his CEREVice that he's keeping inside of a container hanging off his back here (along with some random pieces of silverware and a broken curling iron for some reason...) as he looks at the device in his hand for a moment, before carefully tapping at it with one of his shovel-like hands, trying to find a way to get it to play music like Inaba's did.
...He might need some help with this, to be honest.]
