What: The Sailor Senshi invite the Hamada brothers over for dinner with the aim of helping Ami and Tadashi get closer.
Rating/Warning: PG-13 for language ~~And for Minako~~

Well they'd been back in town for a few days now, and after discussing it a few times, Rei, Minako, and Ami had all thought it might be nice to invite some friends over for dinner. Minako in particular had an ulterior motive, but Rei was more than happy to help...so they'd put together a little get together for the three of them and the two Hamada brothers. Nothing too fancy, just three Tokyo girls and two immigrant boys all set to hang out, eat, and maybe watch a couple of movies or something on CERES-Flix.

The living room of their four bedroom place was set up as neatly as could be, cleaned, everything polished and the usual clutter that came from life put back into closed bedroom doors and the like. The CYBuddy, Lacus the Panda, meandered around still, but never really seemed to be too intrusive so it didn't feel like anything to worry about. Basically? They thought they'd spruce up the place since there was company coming. Even the TV was polished up, and everything just looked spotless!

Food was simple, various rice and fish dishes and hot-pot soups that Rei had either prepared or paid Archer to take care of for her. Ami had also put together sandwiches and other fingerfoods and most importantly of all they had kept Minako out of the kitchen and just had her pick up a cake. She may have grumbled but...this was for love and friends after all and nobody needed to be subjected to her attempts at baking.

Everything was as perfect as it could be by the time the Hamada brothers arrived, and they would find themselves greeted at the door by the trio. Come on in!

[Her eyes widened and she reached out, grabbing his arm.]

You're heading back to the jungle? Tadashi, why?

[ he looks at his arm and places his hand on ami's, trying to calm her down. ]

It's fine. There's just some things we need to learn more about CERES, and the answer's out there.

And I'm not letting Hiro go there on his own, either. I have to be there.

I understand the desire for answers and thinking they can be found out on the planet. [After all, weren't the Senshi trying to see about actually going to a DIFFERENT planet with the Sailor Transport. She frowns, though, since she and the others are senshi. They are far harder to kill and are more than flesh and blood.]

Do you have a way to communicate back to the colony in case you need a quick way back?

We've tried making communicators that aren't CereVices, but there just aren't enough materials to build one.

Most of us will be able to fly, so if we need to move fast, we can.

I see... [If only she could have access to more moon technology. The senshi communicators worked perfectly on Tellus, she sighed.] Do you have a flare gun, at the very least?

It'll be fine. [ trying to calm ami down is so hard right now. ] The others aren't normal humans like Hiro and I.

[She worries her lip and sighs.] Not human does not equate to competency, I assure you. [Let her tell you about some of the nonsense from nonhumans she's had to deal with, Tadashi. Still, his mind is made... so is Hiro's, apparently.]

When do you both leave?

Tomorrow morning.

So the timing of this dinner's great.

[That didn't give her much time...]

Ah! Wait here a moment! [She disappeared into a room (her room specifically) and came back with several journals before handing it to Tadashi.]

[ he flips one of them open. ]

Note taking?

That is a catalog of every edible, poisonous, harmless, or toxic plant, fruit, root, fungus, or vegetable I came across in the jungle. The second journal is about the animals, though that is not as extensive as I spent most of my time trying to avoid them.

Unbelievable.

[ he continues to flip through the notes. ]

You really are something, Ami.

I organized it by color and size since I'm afraid I couldn't tell you the name those on Tellus might call it. The animals is organized by prey and predator, and then where they are located in the habitat.

[She blushed deep red but smiled.]

Please feel free to add to it or make additional notes. In fact, if you bring back samples, I can do further experiments on it.

And it's just... I mean it's important to have taxonomy when one cannot be provided...

[ even digitise them, for better usage. he'd rather not bring the journals to the jungle where they could get destroyed. ]

And I'll try to bring some samples, but no promises.

Thank you, I've not added them to my compact yet so while I can probably rewrite a good deal of it by memory, you are holding the original and only copies at the moment.

Don't even think about breaking it, Tadashi, for yourself or for Hiro. [The senshi of water and knowledge would take serious methods to never let Tadashi do something stupid again.]

[ looks like she's calmed down a bit. time to go back to his snarky side. ]

In case you didn't know, I'm pretty good at keeping my promises.

[Unlike Tadashi, she's not snarky (or rude enough) to mention that he's just not good at keeping himself alive.]

A promise made to the guardian of wisdom is a serious thing. You break it, and I'll never let you have a scientific break through ever again.

[Is she joking? Her tone is always too hard to tell one way or the other.]
