![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

But something about him just... gets under his skin. ]
Where are Tenka and Soramaru?
[ He has the promise he made to Tenka, after all. If he fails it, it had damn well better be something he chose to do. ]

He's seen both Soramaru and Tenka this week now--and neither is acting like themselves.
He's really unhappy about it, but he's sure as hell not telling Shirasu.]
none of your concern

Are they safe?
[ Answer him that, at least. ]

He has seen Tenka--and Soramaru. He's seen both of their bodies moving. But...they haven't acted like them, and that's frightening. Tenka never responded to his texts. Something isn't quite right.
But there's nothing Shirasu can do about it either.
Ultimately, what he types is--]
they are unharmed.
[It's the most sincere answer he can give.]

[not that sousei can hear him, sigh]

I'll let you get back to ineffectual flailing, then.

Sousei stares at that text for a very, very long moment, as if deciding what to do, eyes narrowed sharply.
He takes a slow, deep breath.
And then he turns on his heel to go. okay. Fine. He's not dealing with this. If Shirasu wants to deal with a shrieking banshee ghost, that doesn't cause Sousei any problems at all. Besides, he might be tempted to punch him in the face if he keeps looking at that smug face, and he did tell Tenka he wouldn't start anything, at least.]

[look he's calling it as he sees it - and his tone is closer to awe than pride because ouch, that was really mean, Shirasu.... which was probably the point, right?
As Sousei turns to walk away, Tenka's already moving to follow him, though he can't quite help himself from glancing over his shoulder to look at Shirasu.
Eventually he says to Sousei, even if he can't hear him-]
I'd say he didn't mean it but I really think he did. Go have some tea, champ. You deserve it.
