![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

[And you, sir, just want to rest, apparently.]

He thinks for a moment. ]
We're not real, just fabricated data or whatever- [ There's a hint of annoyance as he says that ]... This is probably the first sign of an incoming boss fight.
[ He says this so nonchalantly, it might come off as BS. ]
no subject
And you believe that story?
[Guess who doesn't! That's right! THIS GUY.]
no subject
People can replicate another's genes and create an artificial human being. Who's to say transcribing human life into bits and pieces of data isn't possible?
[ He says it with distaste. ]

[#pessimist]

[ Someone is more of a pessimist than you are. ]
Sounds like everyday life to me.

[People using science to cover up the truth, yup.]

Someone's an explorer.

[He didn't deny it.]

[Death City was a few years back in the past.]
no subject
Gee-whiz, Mister. You sound like a total space hero.
no subject
[Mr. Fancy at least gives away that much.]

Now's a good time to start on a new adventure.
no subject
Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't have chosen one like this.
[No more adventures, please. No more. NO MORE.]
no subject
Why not? This is the epitome of fun.
no subject
[That's what he was afraid of. That's how AAI and AAI2 were born. THE ADVENTURES CAME TO HIM.]
no subject
[ He sure wasn't welcomed by something like that. ]
no subject
[And he still hasn't gotten over it. Seriously, he already gets enough false charges back home, why add to that? At least this time it wasn't murder.]
no subject
So, you were accused wrongly for something? What did you do afterwards?
no subject
[From his tone of voice, Edgeworth doesn't think it's enough compensation for putting them through a life-and-death chase, and it's apparent from the disdain and disappointment in his tone.]
no subject
You're lucky to even get something out of it.
no subject
Hmph. I suppose. In any case, at least it hasn't happened to anyone outside our batch.

[ Ayumu laughs at his own joke, because it really is funny to him. But seeing that the person he's talking to doesn't seem to have a bit of humour ingrained in his body, he might just be the only one to find it the slightest bit humourous. ]
