![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

... ... ...]
Um... is someone out there?
no subject
On your right. [Where there stands nothing but a duck statue holding a fork with meatballs. (That's a store that needs way better advertising.)] Some ghost stole my body so now I'm invisible.
[....That sounds like the plot for some upcoming cheesy comedy movie. Ugh.]
no subject
Unfortunately, it still sounds ridiculous to her nonetheless.]
I...see... [She sees nothing on her right besides that statue....huh.] That sounds very unfortunate, sir... then this is your body?
[Trying to pick her up?]
no subject
Yeah. [He nods affirmation, not that she can see it.] 'Cept I'm not usually like this.
[Personality-wise, at least. Appearance-wise, everything is exactly the same as it usually is. His body, none too happy with the lack of attention paid to it, tries again, erasing what was previously written on the CereVice in order to write a bigger, better pick-up line.]
Hey I'm looking for treasure. Can I look around your chest?
[For the love of god.]
no subject
This is too much for her very princess-y and prim and medieval sense of everything.
She squeaks.]
N-no, sir, certainly not! That's a horrible thing to ask!
[........]
I'm...then who is this? [in your...body. Flirting hardcore.]
no subject
Since he can't do anything physically about it, he yells and protests instead.]
Cut that shit out already! [Oh wait.] Not you--him. [slsdfjdlkj.] It's some ghost. Didn't exactly meet whoever it was that did this since I woke up a few days ago like this.
no subject
I see... then we must find a way to get your body back!
[SO MUCH SHOUNEN GUNG-HO--
and she pauses.]
Though... I am not entirely certain how.
no subject
--except Shinjiro isn't anticipating the volunteered help, nor does he have any good idea of how to restrain his body until things settle back to normal. Though she can't see the widening of his eyes, a little bit of his surprise leaks through his voice.]
You don't have to worry about it. It's my problem.
no subject
It is. [Your problem.] But it would be very difficult to resolve on your own, I imagine. So I would be happy to assist!
[no it's not a choice.]
no subject
It'll blow over in a few days, it's fine. I don't need any help.
[Yes he is going to be Difficult about this.]
no subject
Don't be ridiculous. You can't be certain of that, and you're clearly having troubles controlling your body.
no subject
He huffs, and crosses his arms over his chest (not that she can see).]
Fine. I don't have anything to die him up with though.
[Because what else would you do??]
no subject
We're not tying your body up for an uncertain amount of days!
[That sounds like a terrible idea, Shinji!]
I am certain if we just keep an eye on it...it will be perfectly fine!
no subject
What's wrong with it? [Shinji sounds completely unperturbed by the idea.] Less freedom he has to go places, less he's gonna mess things up for everyone.
[And he's done plenty of that himself already, thanks very much.]
no subject
It could hurt your body...and it certainly can't be comfortable!
[Seriously.]
...What if I keep an eye on your body for you as well? I can make sure it doesn't go anywhere unexpected.
no subject
You've got things to do.
[Because he apparently knows all about her personal life and habits. Still, the words are said stiffly, like it's being said more out of habit and tradition than any particular antagonism.
Ah but wait, his body's on the move again, wandering ever further. They better come up with something soon.]
no subject
No, you aren't going anywhere!
[And then she turns to him, smiling and tilting her head.]
Pardon me, but I think I don't have anything better to do than this after all.
no subject
You're seriously gonna do this? [Half-disbelieving, half-resigned.] You can't just walk around with it all day!
no subject
I can, and I shall! Don't worry, sir. I won't allow your body to get into trouble!
no subject
Now is one of those times.]
Fine. [It's punctuated with a sigh.] You got anything you need to do today? Might as well get that done.
[If she's going to be forced into dragging his body around town, they might as well do some of her chores.]
no subject
But that's also the first time this conversation she's hesitated. She frowns slightly, almost embarrassed.]
Well, that's...
[...]
I do need to pick up food...for myself and Achaeus both. But... [she got lost in the supermarket last time.]
no subject
In any case, it's not his place to nose into it. If she needs to get food, then get food they shall.]
Then let's go. There's a supermarket not too far away from here.
no subject
...Right.
[She's not going to leave him after all of that work convincing him, so with Shinji's body in tow, she starts towards that supermarket. Thankfully (???) that's the one she's been to before.]
They are...rather large, aren't they? The markets here?
no subject
Thankfully, it's not too crowded and they pass down the sidewalk with relative ease in their odd little formation, Tana sandwiched in between two Shinjiros.]
A lot of 'em are, yeah. It can get pretty confusing the first time you go to one. [Ah, is this the reason for her hesitation...!] It's easier and faster if you follow the signs to find what you're looking for.
no subject
Is that so...? I will have to try that in the future, then. Thank you for your advice!
[A sigh.]
Truthfully, I have never done this before.
[wow what a spoiled princess]
