![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

I'm fine.. you didn't get hurt, did you? [ Because she sure as hell can't see, but she'll apologize later for putting her hand to his cheek in some poor attempt to make sure he was alright. ]
no subject
I-I'm fine! I'm fine, jeez. [ Another screen breaks. ] Oh man, they're so gonna kill me tomorrow...
no subject
Alright.. [ But she tenses up again at the sound of a screen breaking. ] Maybe we should get further away. [ It's not like just anywhere is safe, apparently. ] The woman that was screaming earlier, is she still there?
no subject
[ Just then, the woman lets out another scream as she soars across the room, placing herself right above them. ]
AAAAAAAH! BANSHEE!
[ yata why are you hIDING BEHIND THE BLIND PERSON... ]
no subject
[ YATA YOU'RE BASICALLY HER SEEING EYE DOG. ]
no subject
[ There's something really wrong with this logic, but at least he pulls her down with him as the banshee swoops down at them, letting out one last shriek before she flickers out like a hologram. The same heat surrounds her in that moment.
In the next, everything is silent. ]
... It's gone. For now, I guess.
no subject
[ Not being able to see it at all is even more of a threat. She feels herself being pulled down, the shriek ringing in her ears that causes her to cringe before everything goes silent.
Unfortunately it does nothing to calm her heart pounding wildly in her chest. ]
I-Is it really? [ She swallows, not even noticing how she stuttered. ] I'll take your word on it.. but geez, that was really creepy. And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse.
no subject
[ And at least Yata can let go. He releases Leanne's shirt from his grasp and straightens his posture up before taking her by wrist, albeit hesitantly. ]
Um, w-we're almost out! Just a little more.
no subject
So there's not really a safe place, is there? [ Wiggling her wrist around in his grasp before it's freed before she takes his hands into hers.
She doesn't need to explain herself, it's just more comfortable this way then feeling like she's being dragged around like a doll. ] Thank you, I'm.. I'm sorry if I'm just making a whole lot of trouble for you.
no subject
Yata doesn't complain and lets her do what she wants, but even so, he gasps and tries to keep himself together. ]
... Nah, it's fine. When you find someone in need, you gotta help 'em.
[ As the walk, she'll hear the sound of a door sliding open in front of them, then closing behind. ]
We're out. Will, um, will you be okay?
misaki "girls have cooties" yata please go back to kindergarten
Mm.. I think so, but, you know. [ She waves her free hand in front of her face. ] I've never been blind before, so I'm pretty much at a disadvantage.
this is why he should have went to high school
What do you mean? How long've you been like this?
no subject
I was kinda afraid that last one was going to make me deaf with how loud it screamed.. so that probably means that there's a ton of different ghosts that can do who knows what.
no subject
[ He can't stop his teeth from chattering. It doesn't help that it's cold outside. ]
no subject
It's alright. [ Under these circumstances age doesn't really matter, so Leanne doesn't hesitate to let her motherly tendencies overcome her and reaches out to pat the young (?????) boy on the head. ] Don't be scared! You were able to protect yourself and me against that last one, I bet you're strong enough to pull through and survive.
[ That's.. encouraging. ]
no subject
Kgh, I know I'm strong, dammit... [ It takes him two seconds more before he gently pushes her arm away. ] Don't touch me, I-I'm not a kid. Ugh... Let's just go!
[ He runs... ahead... ]
