![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

[ Says the guy who wanted to run away from it earlier. ]

If you feel sorry for it, you can be in charge of feeding it.

[ Yata is not becoming zombie food! Exasperated, he turns around to face the way they came from as he's about to say something when... ]
Hey, kid. You know how to fight?
no subject
[ Killua can kind of guess, though. He turns, too. Ah yes, the zombie has brought friends. Well, there's no shotgun, but this could be fun, too. He grins and holds up a hand; his nails sharpen into claws. ]
Oh. What about you?
wait, duh, i'm an idiot
Heh, worried I'll hold you back?
I totally would have gone with it
Luckily, he's not in American comic books, so he's getting better about that. ]
You were totally scared of it a minute ago.
[ He thinks this is a very reasonable point to why he might, possibly, be worried that Yata will get in his way. The red aura is pretty neat, though, so maybe he won't have to spend the whole fight trying to keep Yata from getting his brain eaten. ]
look... when you have some overflow threads to do... sometimes you get confused...
[ Logic! It's why Yata has no problems charging at the horde of zombies head-on, even as they flicker. Wait, flicker? His fist creates a red stream of light in the air as he throws a punch. To his surprise, it doesn't connect. Instead, he goes right past them, distorting their images in the process. ]
I saw nothing, I have no idea what you're talking about
Killua toes at the head and sighs. ]
Aw man, that wasn't even a good warm up.
you're too good to me
Wait.
[ He raises a hand as if signalling him to stop. ]
How come I wasn't able to do anything?
[ Because you're useless, Yata. ]
no subject
What, were you that slow? I totally left a few for you.
[ Because that's not insulting at all! ]
no subject
[ He shakes his fist at Killua! Don't call kids assholes, Yata... ]
no subject
There. [ He points behind Yata at a few zombies that have shuffled out of the shadows to gnaw on their brethren's dismembered corpses. ] See? You missed them.
[ Isn't that thoughtful? ]
no subject
There, done!
[ See! He can fight... too! ]
no subject
Wow, that took you a while. [ THANKS KILLUA. ] That flame stuff was pretty cool, though. What was it?
[ It wasn't nen, after all; he'd checked. ]
no subject
Actually... ]
How 'bout you beat me and I'll tell ya?
no subject
Sure, you're probably a little harder than the zombies. [ Probably. ]
no subject
[ At that moment, a sudden firestorm engulfs his entire body. He's probably getting in trouble for this, but that's the least of his worries right now. It's on. ]
no subject
He does have one question before they get into it, though. ]
What's Homra?
1/2
Heh! HOMRA is the Red Clan! Our King, Mikoto Suoh, gave me this power—

[ Clans and kings and everything are all well and good, but there's a distinct lack of words being used here to have it make sense. ]

[ Think fast, because here he comes with a flurry of fire punches. ]
no subject
He dodges the punches, blocks a few when he gets lazy, then jumps, puts his hand on Yata's head, and neatly flips over him to land at Yata's back, slouching with his hands tucked in his pockets. ]
Are the clans important or something?
no subject
Fucking duh!
[ Good thing Yata has quick reflexes. He crouches and sweeps a fiery leg at Killua's feet in one fast and fluid motion. ]
no subject
After a moment, he climbs to his feet and tips his head down to examine the faintly singed patch on his shirt. ]
Huh. So it really does burn if you let it touch you. [ He looks back up. ] Okay, why're they important?
