![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

It's not even winter yet.

[The possibility had actually escaped Oz's attention, and now he's Greatly Concerned.]
I'm not sure if it can get any colder than it did the last time.
no subject
[ He's not looking forward to it all either, but he dismisses it with a shrug of his shoulders.
And he should really take a bite of that granola bar. So he does that. ]
no subject
No, Oz just looks pleased that his houseguest is eating his crummy granola bar. Welcome to the haute cuisine of House Moron.]
We'll have to buy more space heaters if it does get colder. And make more warm foods!
no subject
Are you working, or studying? I'm not sure how well of students are to be able to buy a lot of commodities.
no subject
I work part-time at the gym when I'm not in classes, so I have a little extra income. My roommate does the same thing.

Thanks! You, too. Oh— [wait whoops] Are you in school?
[The way he had talked about it made it sound more like he was part of the work force, but just in case...!]
no subject
[ He actually feels... relaxed talking about actual truths in his life. Damn Oz and his friendliness. ]
I don't see the point in continuing it here.
no subject
Oz looks a little surprised to hear that, but it's not like he ever attended school either. Though there's curiosity in his expression, he doesn't press for an explanation.]
You're not interested in learning about space things? It's a good place to meet new people, too! [A beat, and then:] If you aren't going to school, do you work somewhere?
no subject
[ Doesn't even comment about the new people. What do you say about meeting people, when they will get taken away in the end? Not exactly the best thing to talk about. ]
I work at the labs. It's simple work, but you have to start somewhere.
no subject
Oh! In the tech district, right? I haven't spent much time there... How do you like your job?

[He tips over a little sideways to lean against the wall while he talks, but it's clear his attention is focused on Ayumu.]
no subject
[ Ayumu can't help but put a genuine smile on his face at that question. But I guess being genuine also exploits your other feelings. There's a lot of unease in his smile, as genuine as it is.
Maybe smiling was a bad idea, but he couldn't help it. ]
I only grew interested science and lab stuff just recently.
no subject
Is all of this stuff pretty new to you, in that case?
no subject
[ Lets out a deep breath. It's not a sigh or anything. ]
Science is easy.
no subject
You must be really smart, then! I don't really get that kind of thing... We don't have anything exactly like the technology or science here where I come from anyway.

[He sounds a little uncertain though, since he's just ballparking based on extreme generalizations.]
no subject
Wow, you're really old.
no subject
Comparatively! But if you want to meet a real grandpa, just wait until my roommate gets here.
[He'll gently bully Ciel until the end of time.]
