![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

My room's down this way! Oh - but the door is shut... You can just put it in the bathroom, I guess. There aren't any windows in there so it'd probably be safer, anyway.
[And he won't have to concentrate on opening another door, which is surely a plus.]
no subject
I suppose so. [ He frowns briefly before following Oz's voice, Awanagi in tow. ] I can deposit him in the tub, yes. Is there one? I am supposing there is one?
[ If there isn't, he is just going to put Oz's body on the floor of the shower. (Assuming a shower exists, which it should.) Surprisingly, there is enough space to fit. ]
Your body is still out cold, but it is bound to wake up sooner or latter. Should we tie it down, or something similar?
no subject
Sure, you can just leave him there. [WHAT CARE. Oz is sure that his body will be able to handle a night or two in the bathroom, though... Or however long this might last.]
Hm... I don't have any rope or anything like, that, but there should be some ties in the closet.
[Though that simultaneously defeats the purpose of trying to spare Takakagi from having to open the bedroom door, since they're all tucked away in his room.]
...But I don't think tying my body up will make much of a difference in the end, so you can just leave it like this.

[ Takakage isn't in much shape to argue, and he can definitely see where Oz is coming from. Points to you for being so logical - it's something that most people can't exactly do.
Awanagi obligingly lowers Oz's body into the tub before backing away. Takakage himself lets out a long, relieved sigh. ]
That should be it, I think.
[ Now can he please sit down somewhere. ]
no subject
Thank you so much! You've really helped me out. [And then, because he still remembers his offer from earlier and the poor guy looks absolutely exhausted:]
Do you want to rest up before you head out? I can show you to our couch.
no subject
It's the least I can do. [ Not to mention it's... good exercise. Especially mental exercise.
At Oz's offer, he nods immediately. ] Ah, that's very kind of you. If I can take a seat, that would be good.
[ When Oz says yes, he would shuffle over to the couch and sit down gratefully. His Persona is dismissed after he can confirm that he won't fall off immediately - Awanagi disappears into a puff of tiny blue butterflies, which then fade away into glitter.
Normally Takakage would not quite feel the absence of his Persona, but this time it's almost as if a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulders. His hands go to his temples immediately, as he squints in a slight frown. ]
Oh dear. That was certainly an experience.

Do you need to take a nap or something? If you do, I don't mind! If Ciel comes back, I'll tell him to leave you alone.
[This is the very least he can do!! Make sure Takakage doesn't get shanked by his crazy roommate if he does need to take a longer rest...]
no subject
He shakes his head slightly at the other's offer, though. ] Thank you, but - I should be fine. [ It's more polite for him to go home and sleep in his own apartment, too. ] I would just need to rest for a short while.
[ The strategist exhales slowly, stretching. ] It should not have been much physical exertion, and yet I feel as if I had just run a long way. It really is strange.
no subject
[He has absolutely idea how Takakage's abilities work, though, so he's just ballparking and taking shots in the dark.]
no subject
[ He shakes his head slightly before continuing. ]
Which I suppose means I should start getting into practice. This might happen again in the future.
no subject
Is it something that you need a training partner for? Or someone to keep an eye out, maybe?
[In case he ends up overexerting himself and collapsing or something...]
no subject
Thank you for the offer, though. I appreciate it.
[ Takakage brings his hands together and laces his fingers loosely. ] I do have a decent level of swordsmanship, though. If my sight recovers, I may be able to train with you if you prefer.
[ He always hesitates going against Sousei or Edgeworth - his sword is a magic sword, and he relies partially on its arcane aspect to fight. Without it, his lack of physical strength becomes immediately apparent. ]
no subject
Sure! I think I could handle something like that. [...] Ah- if recovery goes well, I mean.
[He doesn't even want to entertain the thought of never regaining control of his body, though.]
ty for the thread holy shit it's been so long
But... that should be about it, he thinks. ] Can you access your CereVice, by the by? That way, I can come in case your body starts attempting to break out again.
ANY TIME MY FRIEND and ty too huhu
I'll look forward to it! [BUT THE CEREVICE... That's in his body's pocket, but he sure doesn't want Takakage to have to do anything else, so:]
Look for a message from Ciel if that happens! I'll just use his.
\o/
[ It's lucky that they're speaking in the native Cerealian tongue, otherwise he would almost certainly have made the 'keep an eye on' reference. Not that he would notice it, since the expression in Japanese doesn't mention the eye at all.
His business here seems to be just about settled, and it might be a suitable time to just return and rest. ]
I shall not intrude on your hospitality any further, then. Thank you.
[ This is said with a smile, as he gets up and retrieves the Evoker from his side. Perhaps on a whim he spins it by the trigger once before casually pointing the muzzle to his temple and pulling the trigger - blue butterflies explode out of the other side of his head, accompanied by the sound of shattering glass.
The butterflies coalesce into a glowing mass before fading into Awanagi's graceful form. ]
By your leave.
no subject
You'll be okay heading back, right?
[He wouldn't want to send him off if he's going to end up collapsing in the middle of a crosswalk or something... That said:]
I should be the one thanking you! I can rest a lot easier now. If I can pay you back somehow, let me know, okay?
[Otherwise Oz will just keep an eye out and wait for the perfect opportunity to swoop in with a thank you gift or something similar.]
no subject
I will be. Do not worry - if you wish to repay me, then pay it forward. The lives of the people here are hard as it is, and helping others is basic courtesy.
[ Not to mention that Oz is one of the saner people he's seen, so bonus points for that. ]
I shall see you by and by, then. Take care.
[ It takes him a few short minutes to find the door, and off he goes. ]
no subject
But that has him laughing, briefly and lightly but in a genuine sort of way. Takakage is a pretty dang impressive person in the end...]
Mm, same to you!
[FAREWELL HELPFUL COMPATRIOT. Oz will follow him to the door and watch him set off until it's closed, left with the relative peacefulness of a mostly empty apartment and an unconscious ghost.]
