![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

Certainly... Although I would assume the majority were coerced into it and wouldn't behave that way in a normal situation.
[ unless the fear is that they'd show up and assume the rules here were the same - that they had to kill to escape. That could be a serious problem. ]

[ With that choice of words, it might sound like Ciel pities or empathizes with them, and yet, his tone is harsh and judgmental. It seems like he won't spare any mercy for these killers at all. ]
We killed most of them, so we learned a little of what was happening. They had been made mad, to think the people they were killing were simply "waking up," like it was a dream. They were delusional until the very end.

Brainwashing? [ the story just gets worse. ] Tell me you found those responsible for all of this.

A crocodile, apparently.
[ Ciel shakes his head, since he knows that sounds ridiculous, at least, so after a moment, he elaborates. ]
No idea, obviously. They only ever spoke through these stupid drawings of animals.

I see... That's clever of them.
[ he sighs. ]
... How frustrating.

[ He says that coldly and resolutely, then shrugs, as if it doesn't bother him, but... It's not exactly hard to guess that it does. Even if Ciel's nonchalance is nearly perfect, it would be difficult to imagine it not affecting him deeply. He ends up sighing heavily. ]
I just want to prevent it from being the future.

[ there's no way that getting kidnapped to other worlds was a frequent occurence. He refuses to believe it. Someone would have survived it and told others by now. ]

...That's what I think too. It should be impossible in the first place, so I don't understand how it's possible to happen twice.

We'll find answers, Earl Phantomhive. None of us want to spend more time wasting away here than we have to - especially if there are ulterior motives at work.
no subject
Of course. I just hate not being able to do anything, really.

[ something he sounds both irritated and incredibly depressed about. he sure felt like he couldn't do anything for Fiona and the Gallands back home, but now he can do even less!! just kill him. ]

[ Not that Ciel sounds very hopeful about it? But in a few days he'll also yell at the CEO so good job nerd... ]
