![]() You were always warned about the little things that go bump in the night, but you didn't believe them, did you? After all, ghosts don't exist, and things aren't really out to get you in the dark. As the month draws nearer to its final days, however, you're going to want to double check that belief of yours. On the eve of the 20th, continuing on, you'll feel the signs. It'll begin with a flicker, something barely noticeable. Conveniently, that day, the cinemas will start showing some creepy movies (maybe you'll have seen similar ones back home, or have you?) and you can access Ceres' TV stations- amazing show and movie line-up on their devices or TV screen. All seems to be normal, really... except for the weather that seems somewhat chilly and dismal throughout, with chances of storms every now and then. 'tis the season to be spooky, after all. It's just the weather being weird... Until you get the feeling that something is in your house... and you sure as heck didn't invite it in. How will you know? Well, you might hear it, whispering in your ear, or maybe see it as just appearing as part of that movie, or on a Holo-screen you're walking by, and disappearing as quickly as you hear or see it...

Straight a couple blocks, then turn right. It's one of the rundown buildings in that neighborhood.
['Cause that ain't sketchy at all.]

She pauses at his description of his house, more concerned that he's staying in a rundown building than anything else. And then there's the issue of the ghost-in-body, who might get distracted and wander off.
Knowing she can't hold him physically... she decides to do something else. ]
Um... Maybe I could help you with your pick-up lines?
[ Starting to walk, Saya wonders if she's going to regret this plan. ]

I don't need to flirt with more girls!
[Ah, but ghost-possessed Shinji seems quite eager to partake of this offer, eyes shining like a beacon in the night as he ambles towards Saya and nods vigorously. Teach him, Senpai.]
no subject
U-Um... You have to be confident. And smooth, even when...you're turned down...
[ Her face is turning red as she says all this. She can't believe she's saying all this. A part of her wants to hide, but she's promised to try and help... ]

At least they're only 20 minutes from his place. And at least no one else is here to see his descent into complete and utter shame, the rest of the passersby too absorbed in their own personal problems to notice.]
Have you actually done this before?
[Sorry if he sounds kind of incredulous.]
no subject
But... But if they say no and want you to go away, you have to stop bothering them.
[ Sorry Shinji. ]
i can't believe i just did that
Though, from the way she says it...]
You been bothered a lot by guys who don't listen?
I didn't notice!!
[ ...out much. She'd remained mostly at home after that incident. But saying that would make her sound weird, wouldn't it? Saya closes her mouth and tries to think of what to say. ]
Um, I've never met anyone like that...
[ But even a ghost ought to learn that. As she answers, she sneaks a peak towards the ghost, wondering if it's still following or paying attention. ]

The ghost is still following along, looking appropriately ashamed at Saya's mini-lecture much to Shinjiro's surprise. Apparently even ghosts can learn life lessons like this?
Good timing too, since they're nearing Shinjiro's apartment complex.]
You won't have to go much further. I live right over there. [Except, wait, he can't actually point at his building, he'll have to specify.] The one right in the middle.
no subject
Let's go over there together, okay?
no subject
Whatever it is, Shinji's grateful. And he's also extremely grateful to this girl for herding his wayward body home. He doesn't speak up until they're near his doorstep though.]
Thanks for doin' this, even though you didn't have to.
no subject
I'm glad I could help.
[ Saya stops, glancing around. Which door is it, though... ]
Um...
no subject
One problem down, at least.
From Saya's left, Shinji speaks up, slightly amused.]
Glad he knows where to go, at least. You gonna be okay if you head back by yourself.
[He'd offer to walk her back but....there's not much he can do as an intangible spirit.]
no subject
Mm, I'll be okay! [ But she pauses, thoughtfully. ] ...Will you be okay?
