[OPEN] Ăn Ăn Ăn
Who: Ai Thao (
emotive) & Vietnam (
hoasen) + EVERYONE NEW AND OLD. IT'S A MINGLE POST.
When: Backdated | OOC: 11/16, IC: 4/7, late at night
Where: The Sanctuary
What: Vietnam and Ai Thao decide to welcome new and old alike to the colony by making and distributing delicious foods from their country.
Rating/Warning: Food, food, and more food (and cheesy Vietnamese music?)
[The Sanctuary, being a CERES-free zone, is the first place Ai and Vietnam thought of in order to host this party. It's taken them all day and Ai was also part of the ViViD session before going to help Vietnam, so now it's quite late at night. After a long and most likely tiresome session of ViViD, anyone who's on their way back to their living quarters may notice a tantalizing aroma wafting from the Sanctuary; it's a combination of savory, meaty scents, plus... coffee? The lighting is strange too as if it's too bright, but too dim at the same time. Also this weird music is playing.
Go inside, and you'll see cooking equipment set up with Vietnam at the ready while Ai scurries about, setting up proper seating with utensils and napkins (weird, a lot of those aforementioned items are floating in the air and moving about on their own since Ai's hands are full). What's on the menu you ask? The handy sandwich board sign set up near the entrance tells you:]

[Ai is the one who pauses to greet anyone coming inside, newbies and regulars of Cerealia alike.]
Welcome! Please, help yourself! There's no charge and plenty to go around!
If you have a question about the food, you can ask me or Miss Sen!
[OOC: You can start your own top-levels and tagging around is encouraged especially since the Sanctuary as noted, is a CERES free zone, so characters can use this opportunity to relax, but also talk plot if they so wish! Or just meet new people and wonder what the hell is a grass jelly.]

[???!!!?!?!?!]

[ tsunderes, he means. ]
no subject
[Aka Leon's blissfully ignorant of all "tsundere" labels...for now...]
no subject
I'll tell you if you tell me how old you are.

Yata's won this one, and Leon knows it even before he responds, if somewhat huffily and shortly.]
...I'm 16, if it is really so important to you.
[And then he crosses his arms defensively, as if daring Yata to comment on it. He's gotten a lot of shit for his age considering his position in the kingdom, so it's an automatic reaction.]

[ yata really is impressed. ]
That's awesome! You look like a knight and you're so young and everything, shit!
[ now he's jealous... why couldn't he be a knight at the age of sixteen?!??!?! ]
no subject
... Wow that's... not what he was expecting at all, but it's kind of...nice? He wasn't expecting Yata to be impressed by it, but... here he is!!
And now he feels a little embarrassed (both for misjudging Yata and for the praise), clearing his throat awkwardly and looking away.]
Yes, well... [what does he do now this never happens] I... [um!!!] ...worked very hard to attain my current position and status! [So...so yeah!! The words are fussy and strict, but he can't really hide the fact that he actually sounds kind of pleased.]

So, how many princesses have you saved? Have you ever fought in a war? Do you ride a horse?
no subject
I--what? Why would I be saving princesses? [Why............ a-ahem, the other questions he can answer, and he does answer them, if only because he's so overwhelmed by the attention that he doesn't even consider not answering them.]
I haven't fought in a war, no... the kingdom is currently at peace [sort of] so there would be no reason for that. And yes, of course I know how to ride a horse.
[...]
I am a Knight Captain of Seinegald. I handle missions given to me by the king.

[ the title of "knight captain" and all. MAN, YATA'S JUST A VANGUARD. this is totes unfair!! but he doesn't mind if it's for homra, in the first place. being a vanguard's means he's the third in ranks, so that's totally high up too!!
BUT "KNIGHT CAPTAIN", ] Wow.
You must be really popular where you're from, then! Seinegald - or whatever.
no subject
As for his fellow knights, well... most of them don't like him for either his age and the fact that he's so much younger than them and still has a higher rank, or his attitude (which nobody can blame them for because he has a shitty attitude).
So really, he has no idea how to answer that, hesitating.]
... I wouldn't know. [No, he doesn't know, it's just superficial popularity and he doesn't want to talk about it!!!] Regardless, I upheld my end of the bargain.
[He hasn't forgotten, okay...and it's a convenient subject change.]
