[ Entering the CERES research tower will be somewhat easier than expected.
There are no armed guards that will stop anyone if they come in through the front doors (or the side doors, or any doors) and regardless of which doors they choose, there will be a desk, behind which sits a robot receptionist. If they come in through a window, there will be a robot receptionist. No matter how they break in, the receptionist is there.
Weird.
If you talk to the robot receptionist, he will give you a pamphet. It is titled CERES and You: How to Live a Fulfilling Life With CERES. Now doesn't that sound like fun reading.
After a rousing game of rock, paper, scissors (unless you really want to play Uno in the lobby), it's decided. One group will go left. One group will go right.
There are unassuming doors on each side. Time to go! ]

Maybe it just needs to be rebooted. [The trouble with that is if they reboot it and it needs a password, or if it flags people to the fact that they're trying to breech security. ...then again, both boys are smart. They could work around this, couldn't they? So he motions for Tadashi to stop before he hunts for a power switch in the terminal itself.] Hold on a sec.
[So. What does happen if he turns it on and off? Let's find out.]

Anything?
▶ FINAL CHECKPOINT.SAV
. . . CONTINUING RAID.EXE. . .
[ Turning it off and on does everything they need for now; it seems the settings were already ready. The terminal flickers to life, and there's a message:
Communication Transmission Beginning
And then, on the screen, there's an alien with a mask. It's clear that whatever it is, it isn't human; while it stands upright, there is no uncovered skin, and nothing can be seen behind the mask or dark clothing.
On the mask, there is a smile.
Silently, the alien surveys Hiro and Tadashi. And then reaches over and turns off the transmission.
Wow, rude!!
What now? ]

This...is downright disturbing. At least with the Bridge and Mosley he knew what he was dealing with but this? It sure as hell isn't human but it's posing as one and that's probably what scares him the most. It's something shrouded in secrecy and the blankness of its face doesn't help. It's like encountering the guy in the kabuki mask all over again without knowing what to do. So while the alien surveys the brothers, Hiro surveys right back and he's unaware that he remains unblinking.]
...it can see us.
[Maybe. It's hard to say if this is something pre-recorded or something brand new. Tranmission beginning indicates it's new, but then why...? When the transmission turns off though, he jumps. What now? Well...]
Hey! [He dives for the terminal again, turning it on and off again hoping to render the same results.] Whatever that thing is it's in the tower. We've gotta find it.

Communication Transmission Beginning
The same alien appears on-screen, and the same alien observes Hiro flatly. There's a long pause, but it's clear that the alien is looking for something that is not present, or sees something that it does not like.
It makes a guttural ragged shrieking noise, not loud but also clearly not human, and also clearly very unhappy.
And then the transmission cuts off again. However, the terminal is not entirely turned off this time. A message appears onscreen:
B A R E
And then there is nothing. ]

He doesn't have time to really observe or analyze though because then there's that sound and he yelps both out of fear and surprise, head ducking to back away from it. The transmission cuts off and he knows better than to try again, even as he forces himself to stare up at the screen.
B A R E? What the hell. But he's just silent and still and waiting for whatever's next, cautiously casting Tadashi a side-glance to check on him, too. Baymax, too, is observing both Hamadas to scan for any distress.]
What the hell was that? [It's a whispered sentence and he's still backed away from the terminal.]

okay, tadashi. calm down. you're the older one here. don't show any signs of weakness, else you'll worry your younger brother. he's mostly just worried, though, and not exactly scared. what's more concerning is that... thing. person? thing person. the letters "B A R E" also don't ring a bell. he knows it's a word, but it's got to stand for something else and not its dictionary meaning if it's showing up in the terminal like this.
he wants to reset the terminal again to see what might happen next; perhaps they could get more than just those four letters. but at the same time, he feels that their time is almost up in the tower. ]
Don't forget what it looks like.
[ that's all tadashi can say for now. even though there's a lot going on in his head, nobody can deny the fact that he's also shaken from what had just happened. ]

Where do we go from here?

[ and it's time to look around the room for a possible exit. ]

The sewers.
The sewer system under the city is reasonably clean, but it's still sewage; they can have fun trekking through all of that until they end up back in the actual city; it should be about a two hour trek.
Thanks for raiding with CERES, we hope you've enjoyed your stay! ]
