At the least, I should like to know the nature of these people I've been seeing in the halls. If we are to live in such close quarters.

A majority of the people here are the spirits of Japanese swords! Nakigitsune here is one of them. [he points his snout at Naki as he says this.]

Then we have our master, of course...and a few other spirits, and Kashuu-san and Yamatonokami-san's master, and...ah, I believe we gained two more residents recently, as well.

That's right.

I assure you that everyone is friendly though! Despite how rowdy they may get on occasion.

[nope still can't believe that. But he's not going to call anyone a liar until he's puzzled it all out for himself. After all, he's standing in front of a talking fox...]

And sword masters. I wonder if they might know anyone I've met.

[can't believe a talking fox telling him about spirits.....well, Naki's not gonna judge. He does tilt his head questioningly at that comment, though.]

They might! Is there anyone in particular you may be thinking of?

I have met a number of warlords and...what was it. Samurai. From Wa. [don't ask how] Oda, Takeda, and some others. I have someone named Ishida in my employ but he doesn't tend to use a sword.

Aah, those names sound familiar! I believe we do have comrades who may have belonged to them at some point.

[It's only then that Cao Pi realizes he doesn't know the names of the weapons used by any of the Sengoku-era warriors he's met. Not even Ishida's fan. Whoops. That's all right, they probably aren't named the same anyway...]

I'm afraid the name is not familiar to me. I know the men, not their blades. [and he tips his head down in an apologetic sort of deference]

[Nakigitsune nods in return, accepting that answer without fuss. He's personally familiar with the blades, not the men, so it's not like he can say anything...]

Ah, well...we can always ask around for swords who know of your companions, if you'd like! Or at the very least let them know to be more quiet.

It will do to simply remind them that someone lives on the floor below. Our castles were never so tall, I am unaccustomed to hearing running feet above me.

We will make sure to tell them! While we cannot speak for the other swords, we can at the very least promise to be quiet ourselves, as well as attempting to remind the others to be....calmer.

[As if on cue, the fox in Naki's arms lets out a yip. Maybe it's agreeing with the talking fox? Maybe it's making up for the fact Naki's not saying anything.]
