[So he doesn't really care if he looks "ridiculous" or not. Looks had nothing to do with being a good sword and right now, all he cared about was being a good, strong sword. He doesn't move even after Pitch almost trips on him, choosing instead only to crane his head back a little to look up at him.]

You're right an' you're wrong. It's not that I don't like you.

[He doesn't actually care to be underhanded. It doesn't stick well with him, but he also knows Haru wants them all to get along. It annoys him like a loose fitting though, for one very big reason.]

It's that I don't trust you. But Master likes you, so I tolerate you bein' here and doin' whatever the hell you do.

[And while he knows he can't really intimidate Pitch, he's still going to stare him down (up?) from below.]

But if somethin' you're doing is causin' him harm? Don't think I'll ask for permission to strike you down. He doesn't always get that spirits aren't always nice, and I protect my masters.

[He doesn't care if they've had the conversation before. He'll say it a hundred times if he has to do it in order to keep Haru safe and remind Pitch that the entire house will rip him to shreds if harm comes to the Saniwa.

Dotanuki narrows his eyes at the explanation. Offering fear and bad dreams? Is that what's been causing Haru so much stress lately?]
