[Kashuu waits first to see that the drink is satisfactory for Koumei before taking a sip of his own. It's nice - not too sweet, but with a full-bodied flavor. He nods once approvingly.]

Not bad! I could totally see why this is popular.

[The subtlty of the flavor was why Koumei wanted to try to recreate it. The gentleness of the drink was far more desireable than the discomforts of his own thought processes.]

I'm glad you do. It's not something I indulge in often, but it's always a pleasant change of pace.

Next time, you should try hot chocolate! Haruji makes the best.

[A little, bright smile is offered. Sharing drinks is nice, and sharing good drinks is even better, right?]

'Haruji.' You mean Mister Kure Haru, right?

Right! Haruji's my master. [Haruji, aruji... Not that Koumei would know the word aruji in the first place BUT STILL. Dumb puns, ah.]

He summoned all of us.

[He wouldn't know regardless. There was no differentiation between 'Japanese', 'English', 'Arabic' or any other languages in his world. It was a noted oddity, that they were all united by the same tongue.

The pun was lost on him, but the description helped clarify things.]

Ah, the Magi, [He murmured, half to himself.] Sir Mutsu told me a little about him. Only good things, to be sure!

Duh! [He might pull on Mutsu's metaphoric tail all of the time, but even Kashuu can acknowledge that he's a loyal sword. He loves Haru a lot! Clearly the only things he could say would be words of praise! But he's not going to say any of that out loud, so instead:]

Haruji's a great person, so there're only good things to say.

[A smile spread across Koumei's face.]

Such dedication and loyalty speaks volumes about his character as a man. I can't imagine him being anything less than a well-liked person.

[Kashuu couldn't either, but his bias is Enormous.]

You'll get to meet him yourself soon if you're gonna be sticking around, so you can see firsthand!

[Bias is a well understood concept-- and, in this case, well founded too.]

I hope so. Meeting people like him is a rare honor-- and I must properly thank him for allowing me to stay here.

He gets up pretty early most days, so if you head over to the first set of apartments, he'll probably be in the kitchen!

[Yes, good, the more people who meet Haru the better!]

[Koumei gave a short, wry laugh.]

We'll need to see how that works when the time comes, then. Sleep and I aren't known for getting along.

I think they make medicines specifically to help out with that stuff now, y'know?

[SUPPOSEDLY... Kashuu's never tried it considering he's basically a ghost with a fake body and all, but he's heard good things!]

But in that case, it'll probably be even easier for you to catch him before he heads out.

With how strange everything is in this world? I think I will keep with what's traditional for now.

[While the prospects of trying something new intrigued him, he also didn't want to have his mind clouded while he tried to understand this strange and fascinating world.]

One way or another, I'll find a way to meet Lord Haru properly. Thanks for the information, Sir Kashuu.

[Kashuu isn't quite as cautious, but even he's been a little wary about some of the new things popping up in the colony. That said:]

No problem! Anyway- [Raising his mug.] -I'm gonna head back to my apartment. I'll come back in the morning and we can figure out what to do about the microwave then, 'kay?

[Koumei raised his mug as well, mimicking the gesture with a smile.]

All right. Thank you for the help. I look forward to seeing you in the morning-- and, with luck, we'll both have gotten some sleep by then.

Hopefully! [No more exploding appliances, please... PLEASE, SWORDHAUS, KEEP IT TOGETHER.

But after giving the kitchen one last look-over, he nods and steps over toward the door.]
