Ket Whiss is gone for good, and Minato has returned from his PLAYER ONE GAME OVER moment, courtesy of a hungry monster. And there's the residual trauma of everyone's jungle/elemental adventures.

So, well. Why not have a party?

Source Below is Cerealia's most popular — and most surreal — karaoke bar. It features a costume closet, with hundreds of outfits to try on, for that full idol experience. There are themed rooms: one with overflowing candy, another built to resemble the interior of a spaceship, one full of robotic cats who yowl in time with the music, to a pitch-black room filled with pairs of enormous, glowing, slowly-blinking eyes....

But Team Catastrophe's party isn't in any of these, because none of these losers made a reservation. Instead, they got stuck with the only one left, covered in white tile, with a hot tub in the center.

This is a bad idea on so many levels, but it's not as if that's ever stopped anybody.

Minato-san asked me to come. [ Yu will nod in Minato's direction, while Minato is off crooning and drinking and generally being a mess. His expression stays composed, so you wouldn't really know the wealth of feelings that claw at his throat just from thinking about the other boy.

Any rudeness is taken remarkably in stride. In fact, he doesn't seem to notice it. He feels responsible enough for Minato's condition that he probably believes he deserves it, anyway. ]

Yu Narukami. It's a pleasure.

Ah, you're Arisato's friend. [ The one that, unintentionally got him... well, that didn't matter. Minato was here, he was fine, and he was enjoying himself. That was good enough.

Plus, there wasn't really any illwill here anyway! As evidenced when he nodded towards... well, a bottle. ]

Feel free to help yourself. Everything's being taken care of.

[ The recognition gets him to blink over at the other boy. But there's no animosity, no bitterness... so Yu doesn't tense up. He wasn't really sure what to expect from coming here. After all, he was the reason Minato got killed in the first place, and Kaz hadn't been too happy with him. If the people in this room were friends with Minato as well, Yu hadn't really imagined any of them would be too happy with him, either.

But Rinne taking his identity in stride is a relief. Still, Yu shakes his head. ]

That's alright. I won't be drinking. [ He smiles a little. ] You could say I've had odd experiences with it in the past.

[ Rinne was a little more lax, seeing as how death didn't seem to be permanent, scarring as it may be. It could have been him thinking loosely about it, as he hadn't necessarily experienced it since arriving to Cerealia, and the afterlife business made this sort of thing commonplace.

Not a great thing to get used to still, and he sure as hell doesn't want to see it continue to happen, but it was Minato's decision to go. They both understood that. ]

That's understandable. I'm trying to remain sober so I can keep everyone out of trouble.

[ Spoiler Alert: this won't last. ] I'm a little too late for one, but I can still save the other two.

[ Death's lack of permanence here is maybe the only reason Yu can carry on right here. He wouldn't be functioning like this if the deaths on his conscience hadn't been reversed.

Rinne's dedication to responsibility gets Yu's smile to warm. ]

Sounds troublesome, but I admire your dedication. Who are you trying to rescue?

Arisato, mostly. My feelings on the other guy aren't high enough for me to think he's worth saving.

[ Sorry, Hyoubu. He's bitter about those donuts and you trying to convince everyone that you're a senile old man. ]
