Who:
borntorebel & You
When: 4/10 (IC) - 11/21 &22 OOC
Where: Solo Apartment, around the Shopping and Entertainment districts
What: Leia is looking for some information on many fronts
Rating/Warning: None, should be pretty mild-ish
Pet Shop
It's been a few days since Takeru moved into the apartment with her and Han. And while it's been nice to have him there, it's strange for Leia to get used to having a young child around her again. She really hasn't been around much besides her peers or elders since she was seventeen. She knows that Takeru is a fairly mature child sometimes, but he's still a child. So, today has Leia out on her day off from work (something she's told she has to take and isn't very happy about), out and about in the Shopping District. She has a list in her hand and is walking with very determined strides until she stops in a CYbuddy shop.
"Which of these would a seven-year old boy like best?" She turns to the person next to her. "Do you have a preference on these pets? A dog or a cat?"
Clothing Store
After finding something she hopes the young boy will like, she heads to some of the more moderately priced clothing stores. She has something that could be considered dangerous in mind, but she's actually looking forward to it. Sadly, it requires a few new outfits and shoes, since her normal pants suits and boots just won't work.
She spends time, trying on a few dresses and a pair of dress shoes that would make her look much taller than her 1.5 meters. It's something she doesn't get to do back home, what with meetings all the time and assistants and servants helping at every turn. She's narrowed it down to a few favorites, but she's outside the stalls, wearing a shockingly short black dress and frowning. It's obvious she needs some help.
Miscellaneous Shopping
After getting clothes, she stops off to get food from a list that looks like a recipe of sorts, maintenance items for an actual sword, a wooden sword, and some books. Feel free to talk about her purchases.
Back home - Closed to Han and Takeru
Leia has her hands full when she returns, bags everywhere and a robotic pet trailing behind her. This might have been why she didn't tell them where she was going this morning when she left. "Some help would be appreciated."
At night - Club Novus
The sudden need for new clothes is apparent when the princess goes out that evening wearing one of her new dresses. While she might be a new face in this crowd, she's obviously no stranger to seedy environments. She moves with confidence and grace that few women her size can master in six-inch heels to the bar and orders a white wine before looking out at the crowd with dark, clear eyes.
She's trying to find a spot where people are talking intently, mostly corner booths and private areas. If there's anything she's learned as part of the Rebellion and beyond, it's that information worth getting takes risks.

Back home
(Although, he was rather surprised to hear that Han and Leia eventually did!)
However, the boy wasn't complaining. The only thing running through his mind was that it was nice? To be living with two people who were married under the same roof?
Although, when he heard Leia coming through the door?]
Ah...Leia-san, there you are! I didn't know you went shopping! [With that, the boy and Patamon quickly went over to help her out!]
no subject
[Besides she wanted to some of it to be a surprise for the boy.
She hands him some of the bags with food, keeping the larger parcels for herself.]
How has it been here? Any Stormtroopers drop by for a chat?
no subject
[Especially when he was living with the Star Wars crew!! But as Takeru walked over to grab the bags, Patamon couldn't help but eye a certain CYbuddy next to her...
But until then? The boy just shook his head]
No, not really! It's just been really quiet! I just went to school, helped the school nurse, and then came right back! Although, I think Han-san would have taken out those stormtroopers if they did come!
That would be interesting to see!
no subject
[She takes the dress bags and drapes them over the back of the couch and drops the bags of books beside them. Then, she heads into the kitchen to put some of the food away.]
And how was school? You didn't start any rebellions, did you? Play contraband music over the PA system?

"Don't they have anythin' in salmon? Useless business shit..."
His eye happens to catch Leia in the mirror, which stops him outright. There's a not so respectful wolfwhistle.
"Damn."
You shit. <3
When she hears the boy's voice, she just barely refrains from rolling her eyes. She knows the type - loud, brutish, obnoxious, but probably a good guy deep down. Hell, she married a man like that. But the whistle is pushing her patience.
"You seem to have lost the ability to speak properly. Shame that."
blows kiss <3
"You just took my words, that's all. You've gotta be magical or something, miss."
He leans a shoulder against the mirror behind him, crosses his arms over his chest.
"You goin' to a party?"

"My girl loves bunnies, but I think boys might like something a little more active." Erio and Caro have their dragon, and she would recommend something like that if pet shops sold dragons as a matter of course. (Why don't they? Make a dragon Cybuddy! It's not like you have to get the actual animal!) "So I'd suggest a puppy. If these were real dogs, I'd tell you to get a small one, because you'll find bigger dog grow big enough to bowl over kids really quickly, but for Cybuddies, you can probably get whatever you think looks best now."
no subject
"I almost want the cat, because we had a few back home when I was a little girl, but don't boys prefer dogs?"
no subject
"If you're going to help take care of the pet, then perhaps you should pick one you like too. I think Takeru would be happy with anything." Dogs, cats, flying rabbit things.

Miscellaneous Shopping
[Kazuya mumbled tiredly as he shuffled along the short aisle of the food store he managed to stagger to, a basket hanging from the crook of his elbow filled to the brim with food, headache and nausea pills, coffee and, weirdly enough, sausages. His eyes blearily skimmed over the boxes of eggs he was passing, his brain sluggishly trying to decide whether he was really desperate enough to try drinking raw eggs just to get rid of this damn hangover when-]
Oh-!
[He very nearly walked right into Leia when reaching the end of the aisle. He shambled to a halt, staring blankly at her before his memory kicked him. Oh, this was the nice lady from the volcano, Mrs... Leia...someone...]
G'mornin'? [Or afternoon? Honestly, Kazuya had no idea what day it was, let alone time. The poor guy looked like he'd just crawled out of some cave, with his clothes horribly dishevelled (his sweater was even inside out), his hair a mess, and stinking of stale alcohol (he did shower, honest, but, the smell was just clinging to him...)] Um, no, afternoon, I think... uh, sorry for, nearly bumping into you there...
no subject
Kazuya. [If she was using her "Han you're stupid" voice, well... he deserved it.] I'm going to assume you fell into a vat of alcohol.
no subject
[Well, he wasn't lying, technically! By the end of the karaoke night, enough alcohol had been spilt into the hot tub to become some sort of weird, soupy mix of liquor, sweat and god knows what else]
Had a bit of a wild night last night, haha... um... [Kazuya seemed to shrink beneath the disapproval] Yeah...

Misc
No, really, that's quite an interesting assortment of things.]
You planning on hitting someone then cooking for them? And later educating them? I wonder what kind of houselife you live.
no subject
Not quite, Archer. We have a new addition. I figured that it would be nice to teach him how to...defend himself with other means.
The rest is miscellany.

That is... an impressive collection.

I figured I'd go get some things to help Takeru feel more at home.
[She waves the hand full of dress bags.]
These are because you are taking me to questionable places to gather information.
no subject
[He spies the Cybuddy. At least they don't have to figure out what it eats.]
Questionable places, huh?
[Slightly dangerous, but he always appreciates the outfits that come with that sort of undercover work]

Oh, uh, I'm a dog person myself. Most kids like dogs, right?
[He looks at the pets again, thinking for a moment. They did seem pretty cool, but...]
Do these really make good pets?
no subject
I can't say that I know what most children like. I...don't have a lot of exposure to children.
[She goes back to staring that the two choices.]
A lot of people swear by them, and they are cute. The literature all assures me that they're easier to take care of than actual pets.
no subject
[There was a startling amount of choices, though. Limiting yourself to something like just a dog or cat almost seemed silly.]
Most kids love dinosaurs, too. I mean, tiny ones like this, anyway.

I prefer dogs. But if it's a seven-year-old boy you're asking for, that depends on his personality.
no subject
I'm sure that he'd like the dogs, but he's very easy-going as well, so that makes it a little harder for me to narrow down the selection. It would actually be easier if he were pickier.
no subject
[He gives the dogs a quick once-over. There's limited variation, and they're all one size.]
But a kid would be happy just to have a pet. Choose the one you're the most fond of.
