[ in this session of ViViD is a room— large and widened, reinforced floors of shimmering onyx reflecting the lights from each of its corners, soft designs carved into each plate of smooth stone on the battlefield. the room is set up as a stadium, its enormous middle arena surrounded by hundreds, seemingly thousands of bunks and an open sky that seems so dark, you could very well mistake it for a poorly lit ( vast ) ceiling. for now, all things are in silence, not a single sound to be heard other than the quiet, echoing steps of two trainers down below, a shock of cherry red hair on one side, and a shine of silvery white on the other.
they both look excited.
more lights clap on, shining down to properly illuminate the battle arena, and with that, a grand screen lights up above them for the whole room's easy viewing, from close ups to amazing camera angles, would you look at that. the trainers speak with each other, exchange smirks, and with a fast beat tune beginning to play, surrounding the arena and booming with the beat of one's heart with each drum— it could make just about anyone's pulse race all of a sudden ( especially with the appearance of creatures most would call otherworldly ). the entire room roars with cheers and yells from faceless npcs that were moments ago nowhere to be seen, whistling and clapping for the battle's start.

[ don't know??? ]
It's . . . Always just been us seven. [ he's at least trying to say something— because he really doesn't know about how help works here. she doesn't have pokemon to help train with him, like he would have thought first ( and at least these days he could accept help where it's truly needed, but— ) . . .
his pokemon seem to like her, though, typhlosion especially. the others she hasn't met probably won't be a problem either, he figures . . . magneton is a curious bundle of excitement and crobat loves new people. alakazam is a dozen light years ahead and can respect anyone worthy of it, so . . .
any suggestions otome? before this poor boy's gears start smoking from thinking in circles too much. ]

if that's what she means— maybe he could get behind that? it's not like he didn't care for them, the healthy gleam of their coats and approachable moods were proof that he was doing well, but . . . what's them without a pokemon center?
maybe it could work ( and he'll ask about it further— later ) ]
—Allies?
no subject
Allies. Would you like to meet them? Or maybe just one of them, for now.
no subject
and thus, when he doesn't find anything similar to that— ]
Where are they?

In a matter of seconds, a demon appears, feet hovering above the ground as she looks at Otome expectantly. ]
We're not fighting, Hariti. Someone was just interested in meeting you.
[ My, Hariti murmurs, and her voice seems to echo faintly. I've become unusually popular these days. ]
( 1 / 2 )
call someone??
okay, call him dubious, but— otome who are you even calling for something like this, you don't have to make people come all the way here for that— ]
( 2 / 2 )
he keeps still, but eyes are widened to blink and take that in. it looks like— a person? except it's not. both typhlosion and sneasel only seem to watch with cautious eyes, but genger lifts himself up from silver's shadow, curiously piqued, and hovers over to her to get a better look at hariti.
he has a bit of a lack at personal space, but he wants to see, faint eeeeh-?s and oooooos slipping through his full grin of teeth. ]
Gengar, give her room— [ muttered, but audible. the ghost wants to keep looking at this from a very closed distance, but— he obeys, levitating backwards but just enough so that he isn't so far away. ] What is that?

Her name is Hariti, and she's a demon. They come in all forms and sizes [ she laments that she didn't have a Jack Frost or a Pyro Jack on her to show instead ] and if you prove your strength to them, they'll fight alongside you.
no subject
—So you have to battle them first?
[ that's obviously how proving your strength is about, right? ]
no subject
[ "You can't expect us to fight for those who can't hold their own," Hariti says, with a bit of a sigh. ]
