[OPEN] Have a Fiery Birthday

What: it's Rei's birthday! naturally, Ami and Minako have planned a party for her, outside in the Gardens. if you're Rei's friend, you're welcome to attend! party-crashers may be escorted out!
Rating/Warning: none for now, but who knows what will happen!

[Minako takes a step back, hands on her hips, to look at the display before her. a safe section of the CERES Gardens has been sanctioned off for Rei's birthday party. and with the weather always being the same in Cerealia, it's a sunny and warm April day. she grins to herself, checking out the various corners, each decorated with a bundle of red and white balloons so that people can easily find the area.

Ami and Rei would be here soon, as would the guests, so that gives Minako the chance to do one more glance over each of the stations; there's a long buffet table, with most of the food supplied by Archer, while other smaller goodies have been provided by Ami and Minako. the cake is hidden away, for now, out of the sun. Minako's also arranged for there to be a mini stage for dancing, or karaoke. she couldn't pass up the opportunity to perform, after all. and there's so much technology in this world that she had to make use of it! hopefully Rei would enjoy that, even if it isn't her scene.

lastly, there's a gift-table, specifically for dropping off presents. if Minako is right, she's certain that Rei will be getting a lot of them. Rei had made so many friends in Cerealia. so many people seemed to love her and wanted to give back to her. just thinking about how many lives Rei had touched in her short stay here makes Minako's grin widen. she was really lucky to have a wonderful girlfriend. she hoped she could convey her feelings properly, by helping plan this party.

...all right, that's enough feeling sappy! it's time to get this party started! Minako turns on the music (it's classical, lightly playing in the background), and then stands by to welcome guests]

[Well, Phobos is happy to lead little Alice along, hop-skipping around people and yes, taking her right to Rei.

And Rei is more than a little surprised to find Alice's arms wrapped around her waist. Oh, goodness! Is that? yes...it is. What a sweet little girl!]

Thank you, Alice-chan. Thank you so much for attending. Are you enjoying yourself? I certainly hope a party like this is to your liking.

[She's naturally scooping Alice into a little hug back, leaning down to pat her head too.

Oh yes! It's lovely, especially because it's in a garden! I've been chatting with the flowers, a bit. And I simply had to attend once I heard it was your birthday! Birthdays are far more important than unbirthday parties, after all, even if unbirthday parties are far more frequent.

Ah but! Are you having fun? That is a much more concerning question! It is your birthday, after all.

[She stayed hugging Rei and smiled, she was so warm!]

Actually, I have something for you, I know there is a gift table but ah... well, I would like to see what you think of it now, if that is alright? [So impatient, this one.]

Unbirthday parties? [Does she mean funerals?] Ah...nevermind that.

Yes, I am enjoying myself, of course. [She ruffles Alice's hair a bit.]

And if you want me to open your present now I absolutely don't mind. Why don't you fetch it?

Oh yes, unbirthday parties are for every day your birthday isn't. So you celebrate 364 days a year! I haven't tried it myself, but I do have one every once and a while.

[She lightly swatted at Rei's hand, not liking her hair ruffled. But then, she pulled a little purple wrapped box from the pockets of her pinafore.]

Oh ah... actually, it's right here. [Inside would be a white lily bracelet with matching little dangling earrings. She looked up at Rei eagerly, unsure of how it would be received.]

[Rei carefully unwrapped it, gingerly doing so. And her eyes lit up with delight at the sight of the gift.]

Goodness! Alice-chan, this is...beautiful! How very thoughtful of you!

[Alice gave a giant smile as Rei's face lit up. She clasped her hands together in glee.]

Frabjous day! [She was all smiles herself.] You're friend ah, Miss Mizuno told me you liked white lilies! I found this and instantly thought of you!

[Rei plucked it out and slipped it on without any hesitation, but pocketed the earrings for later. She already had in a pair Minako had picked out, and didn't want to swap just yet.]

I love it, dear. This is absolutely perfect. [Excitedly, and just to make sure Alice knew how much she appreciated it, Rei hugs her again, spinning her around and letting her feet dangle before setting her back down.] Thank you, so much.

[She let out a pleased little breath she didn't know she was holding. She merely hugged onto Rei tight, nuzzling her cheek into her clothes just a tiny bit.]

I'm so glad! Truly so! You know, the lily is a wonderful flower to like. It's one of my favorites too! But I like the lily of the valley, which is also a white lily but tinier.

[Rei can't help but be charmed by the behavior. It's just so sweet and eager that it's impossible for her not to hug back, running her hands gently through Alice's hair.]

Those are also very lovely. Maybe I just like these more because I'm bigger and you're smaller. But I definitely like both.

Dinah loved flowers... ah... well, she loved to play with them, more accurately. Ah but, you know the white lily means purity, modesty, and majesty to name just a bit. I think people tend to pick a favorite flower that fits them perfectly, sometimes without even knowing it. Although, I picked the lily of the valley before I actually knew what it meant.

Ah, what are your friends' that is, Miss Mizuno and Miss Aino's favorite flowers? It would be interesting to see if I'm right!

Their favorite flowers? Blue Water lilies are Ami-chan’s favorite, and Minako-chan is fond of Hydrangeas and roses. But it’s hard to say what her favorite is, really.

Hmm... well, the water lily means "purity of heart" unless you mean the lotus? Then the blue lotus means wisdom and common sense! And the Hydrangea means thank you for understanding and frigidity, but there are just so many meanings of the roses depending on the color!

I may mean that. Flower language isn't really my strong suit.

[And she's never really thought too hard about this.]

But maybe I should ask, for their birthdays. Those are just the flowers I see them with the most.

I know all about flower language! I talk to them all the time! They're lovely conversation.

My birthday is May 4th! Ah but... I'm sure I shan't be here that long. Besides, back home it was the middle of winter!

Oh that? That's terribly easy! I like vanilla cake with thick chocolate frosting. Mother always tells the baker to put all sorts of frosting flowers all over it!

Well...we'll have to make sure you get one. That's not too far away, and even if we can't have a huge party outside because of the weather or more strange things happening? I promise I'll make sure you get a cake.
