[ upon kogami's suggestion, akane's taken it upon herself to find a suitable (ha ha) way of celebrating her 23rd birthday! she found the chilling cave by coincidence while patrolling the streets once and decided that she wants to try ice skating.

so after texting the guys (brother, mom, and dad), as well as a couple of friends (really, it's just a couple. she doesn't have much friends) if they're free on the 17th, she waits outside the chilling cave, hoping to meet up with her friends.

Oh! What day is it exactly? Happy belated birthday, then. [That sounds like what happened to some she knows...hmm.] It would be a strange experience to just leave and come back. Did you remember anything while you were there?

[condoner]

It was on April 1st.

And yes, I do. Most of my new memories aren't very pleasant to share, though.

[ do you really want to hear about kamui, vietnam? do you? ]

[hoasen]

I see! I remember that for when it happens. [She wants to say Happy Birthday, not belated.]

Perhaps another day. Today, even though it is not your birthday, is still a celebration. You should fill it with happy memories.

[She does want to know about Kamui though?! People who can shake nations are pretty important to her, even if they're not heroes.]

[condoner]

Have you ever gone ice skating before?

[ let's start making a new memory by going out into the rink together! ]

[hoasen]

[NEW KAWAII MEMORIES!!!]

Aha, embarrassingly, not with any success! I do not really know how to skate. [She's never had a good chance to practice in a warm country, and even when she visited during winter, she often just want to mess around in the snow. BUT SHE STILL WANTS TO.]

[condoner]

Let's go, then. I can teach you.

[hoasen]

Oh! Yes, please take care of me, Teacher, I will not let you down! [MOSTLY, since she can't actually control the ice.]

[condoner]

[ akane smiles and leads vietnam to a table where her other things are. on the table are a pair of ice skates, which adolf had rented for her. she sets the gifts she's received down first before looking back at the other girl-- ]

Let's go rent some skates for you.

[hoasen]

[What a nice table, it feels very homely. She's staring at it for a moment, feeling at peace.]

Ah yes! Let's see...there counter is over there, no? [She waves vaguely towards the direction of the skates rental, it's probably white and obscured THANKS JACK.]

[condoner]

Ah, yes it is.

[ akane nods and once she's put the ice skates on her feet, she gets up and heads on over to the booth to accompany vietnam. ]

I can't wait.

[hoasen]

[She waits patiently before going to collect her own skates!] This will definitely be an experience.

[After grabbing a pair (and asking the assistant how exactly to tie the laces to make sure she'll be safe) she puts them on. If anything, at least she has good balance.]

I am ready!

[condoner]

Come follow me, [ she says, heading towards the ice. she even holds out her hand to vietnam in case she wants to hold onto something. ]

[hoasen]

[She does take her hand once they start to step onto the ice!] Ah, it's too smooth! [She means the ice, but lbr her hand is probably too.]

[condoner]

[ akane does take good care of her skin, so... :') ]

Careful now... just one step at a time.

[hoasen]

[TEACH EVERYONE.]

Alright...

[One step...two steps...look she's doing it!]

[condoner]

That's good-- [ and when she feels that vietnam has enough momentum, she lets go of the other's hand. ]

Don't panic, now.

[hoasen]

[FREEDOM...to fall. Only she's not falling, so far so good. Vietnam slides only forward because of the slippery ice, but she hasn't stumbled. Thank the heavens for her normally good balance.]

A-ah...well, I'm standing! [SMALL VICTORIES.]

[condoner]

You're doing great!

[ akane maintains her own pace and offers her hand again just in case vietnam falls over in the next few seconds, but everything seems okay! ]

Just go slowly, don't rush for now.

[hoasen]

Thank you very much! [She's impressing her teacher today, Vietnam is a good student (maybe). She nearly topples, so she does grab Akane's hand to support herself, but once she gets her balance back, she lets go. It's best she does this without any kind of support, anyway.]

Goodness, how do the others manage to do all those twists and turns like this!

[condoner]

Ah, careful now— [ akane is here to catch you in case you fall, vietnam!! but thankfully, that doesn't happen. akane lets out a quick sigh of relief and then proceeds to laugh sheepishly. ]

Some people are just really talented, aren't they?

[hoasen]

[HERO!! Thankfully all is well now, and she tries to loosen up because tensing up her body like this is proving to be very tiring.]

They really are! It's like concentrating on so many things at once.

[condoner]

I'm sure if you get used to it enough, it'll become like intuition for you, too.

[hoasen]

Ahaha, we will see. I think Jack Frost would like that at least, that means more of us would have to come practice, and he will have company. [She tried to wave around her but that means LOSING BALANCE...she levels herself again.]

[condoner]

Jack Frost?

[ do you have ghost friends, vietnam?? ]

[hoasen]

[NO...although after talking to Otome, she could be convinced.]

He is a spirit of winter who happened to be brought here too!
