[closed] everyone was watching you as everything just slipped away
Who: Akane Tsunemori (
condoner), and friends.
When: 17 April (IC)
Where: The Chilling Cave
What: The Psycho-Pass cast (and then some) go ice skating.
Rating/Warning: Warning for Gino's sadness.
[ upon kogami's suggestion, akane's taken it upon herself to find a suitable (ha ha) way of celebrating her 23rd birthday! she found the chilling cave by coincidence while patrolling the streets once and decided that she wants to try ice skating.
so after texting the guys (brother, mom, and dad), as well as a couple of friends (really, it's just a couple. she doesn't have much friends) if they're free on the 17th, she waits outside the chilling cave, hoping to meet up with her friends.
it's time… to chill! ]

[ SHE'LL WATCH HER LIKE A HAWK. ]

[ DON'T JINX IT...why is he saying this... ]

[ SHE WON'T LET YOUR PESSIMISM WIN. ]

[ He heaves a soft breath, one that's lost under the high collar of his jacket. ]
Tsunemori works too much. One day without unnecessary complications should be good for her.

[ Says the other workaholic, but this is fine! ]

The mission for the day, then. [ 'Mission', he made this shit official. ] ...Good to know there are trustworthy doctors around.
no subject
... I'm sorry if you've met doctors who aren't.
[ SHE'LL MAKE UP FOR THAT. ]
no subject
[ Just the rude ones... and the ones that Don't Care, but she doesn't look like those types?! ]
...What kind of work do you do? [ As if he's suddenly remembering something. ]

[ DOCTOOOOR. ]
no subject
...Never mind, then.
[ It sounds like she has enough on her plate... with this extreme sports club. ]

No, please finish that thought. Were you in need of a doctor?

[ And he's a walking governmental secret, so... ]
I'd need someone preferably tight-lipped. If you can provide that, I might find you if it's absolutely necessary.

[ Not that discretion is really needed here, since politics doesn't seem to be a big part of anyone's lives in Cerealia, but. He's always been careful, and he won't stop being careful anytime soon. ]
...Your name?

Otome. Otome Yanagiya. And yours?

[ He reaches out with one burn-scarred hand to shake hers, and there's a beat where he's clearly taking a moment to think. ]
...If you're Japanese, I should be referring to you by your last name. Is that right.
[ He still hasn't gotten the hang of this... ]

[ In all honesty, it's just easier for him to parse the first name than the alternative— which is a little embarrassing, but cut him some slack. ]
It doesn't matter to me either way— hopefully I won't be giving you excuses to say my name too often.

—he's not sure what his assessment is other than 'this is probably not a good idea, to continue talking to her'. She might be someone who's too openhearted for their own good, perhaps.
That's troublesome. ]
...This city is big enough that I might not run into you again. I'll count on it.
[ THIS INCREDIBLY RUDE THING TO SAY... ]
no subject
It's all right. We'll definitely meet again, Mr. Reinhardt.
[ THIS SMILE WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS. ]

Ominous words, coming from a doctor.
[ Let's just not look at her and pretend that she's being rude instead of nice, that'll help. ]
no subject
[ And if she runs into you as a doctor, she'll be a little concerned. ]
no subject
...You shouldn't. There's no guarantee I'll still be here tomorrow. [ A vague hand gesture. ] Choose your battles more wisely.

Tomorrow is another day entirely. Who knows what could happen, really?
