[ upon kogami's suggestion, akane's taken it upon herself to find a suitable (ha ha) way of celebrating her 23rd birthday! she found the chilling cave by coincidence while patrolling the streets once and decided that she wants to try ice skating.

so after texting the guys (brother, mom, and dad), as well as a couple of friends (really, it's just a couple. she doesn't have much friends) if they're free on the 17th, she waits outside the chilling cave, hoping to meet up with her friends.

She quickly shakes her head.] Perhaps, but right now my body feels very stiff. I have even greater respect for professionals than I did before.

[He stretches at that, wiggling his ankles around while trying not to drag his skates on the floor.]

Tell me about it, and I bet we're going to be really sore later, but that's probably normal. Still, it's pretty fun, too, especially since it's my first time.

I believe so too. I guess it would be a good excuse to just rest. But oh! Is it your first time? Will you be going out again?

It sure is my first time, though that's probably pretty obvious when I'm out there. I definitely want to try going back out, though. It's tough, but I think I can get better at it, too.

You really should go out there again! Get a little bit of practice in before your body protests. [She looks at him and then the ice.] I will go with you.

Hah, yeah, cause then I'll just be making excuses for not heading back out. [He beams at her, pleased that he'll have company.] I can't say no to that kind of offer, anyway.
