[closed] everyone was watching you as everything just slipped away
Who: Akane Tsunemori (
condoner), and friends.
When: 17 April (IC)
Where: The Chilling Cave
What: The Psycho-Pass cast (and then some) go ice skating.
Rating/Warning: Warning for Gino's sadness.
[ upon kogami's suggestion, akane's taken it upon herself to find a suitable (ha ha) way of celebrating her 23rd birthday! she found the chilling cave by coincidence while patrolling the streets once and decided that she wants to try ice skating.
so after texting the guys (brother, mom, and dad), as well as a couple of friends (really, it's just a couple. she doesn't have much friends) if they're free on the 17th, she waits outside the chilling cave, hoping to meet up with her friends.
it's time… to chill! ]

That moment when they think the other is more selfless than they are?! God these two. But since he's given in, she looks a lot more pleasant. Patting his hand, she moves to leave.] You're welcome. I will be back, so rest for now.
[And off she goes, to get a wet towel. Which is a lot quicker than expected since seriously all she needed is a towel: there's sources of water everywhere?! But no she actually was pretty legit in soaking it up. It's warm water, but that's just to regulate.
Quietly, she creeps over to him in order to not disturb him (if he's even asleep) to place it gently on his forehead.]
no subject
The feeling of something warm against his forehead makes him crack one eye open, and a hand migrates over to press the wet towel a little more firmly over his skin. ]
I owe you. Again. [ People are too kind, he thinks. Like a kid, he doesn't want to be a burden; like a kid without a home, he's afraid of being accepted.
But this is nice, even if he feels guilty. Ah, what a mess— it must be because he's sick. ] ...Go skate. I'll be fine by the time you get back.
[ He'll try to sneak out, probably. ]
no subject
Sorry for disturbing you. [She helps him fix the towel before testing for his temperature again by placing her hand over his cheeks, a little more carefully over the one where half his face is ripped off?! It's still too early to tell, but she was hoping maybe the rest would've helped him a little bit.]
It's okay, you need not owe me anything, you're the one sick. [She then laughs awkwardly.] I do not know how to skate.
no subject
...Would have been better if I'd chosen a different day to get sick. [ As if he could do that, but it's an offhanded cynical comment. ] And from the look of it, none of us knows how to skate. At least, no one I've talked to does.
no subject
Still, she felt enough, and she didn't want him to move so rigorously like he did trying to get away!!! But shh, it doesn't matter to her okay. She's just afraid she might hurt him, really.]
It would be better if you didn't get sick at all, but I suppose. Should you have chosen another day, you should pick a day you do not work. [Hahaha.] I wonder why it was chosen. I guess because it would be fun to learn.
no subject
But it really is difficult for him to be like this, useless and unwell. He has a certain standard he upholds, though they're mostly arbitrary— he'd like to be strong for other people, if only because all the people he'd been surrounded with back home were far less equipped to protect themselves than he was.
Again, Vietnam is too good for her own good... stop Vietnam 2k15. ]
I see. You have ulterior motives for my health. [ he says that so blithely, as if he truly believes that Vietnam only wants him healthy so he can cook?! But it's him trying to be 'funny', good job eel. ] And yeah, probably. She's big on learning, isn't she. Tsunemori.
no subject
It's okay, Adolf, you can be vulnerable for now. At least she'll protect him...from the cold, right now, but in any case she'll make sure he'll return to his big and healthy self.
Also that's actually cute?] I do have ulterior motives. Who is going to keep me company if you stay unwell? [SHE'S KIDDING but also please cook for her.] She probably will master ice skating before the rest of us. [Granted, he's sick.]
no subject
...Everyone else, probably.
[ Because Vietnam is so likeable?! Surely she has about 500 people who are willing to spend time with her, jeez. ]
And, yeah. She won't quit until she's mastered it, knowing her.
[ Please don't catch on to the fact that he's fond of Akane, he tries so hard not to let people in and now this... everyone is 2 cute. ]
no subject
Ah, but everyone else, they're they're own people too. What of Adolf Reinhardt? There is only one in the world.
[Adolf shut yo face, everyone wants to hang out with you too okay okay.]
Akane's determination is really admirable! And for you to acknowledge this trait... [No she caught on :)]
no subject
How can you say that with a straight face...
[ He mumbles to himself, palm over his face. Kill him... just kill him, tbh. ]
It isn't like that. Anyone would know that about Tsunemori.
no subject
I-is it something you consider too bold? Please do not misunderstand! I just want to voice my appreciation somehow! [DON'T DIE kill her first.]
B-but yes, I meant that, if you acknowledge someone, we know they are to be held in high regard.
no subject
[ HE'S SICK, AND BEING RUDE, AND?? WHY IS SHE APPRECIATING HIM?? Clearly she must be unwell, clearly. ]
She's works hard. If you want to commend her, say it to her face— she'll probably brush it off.
[ Clearing his throat now... there's really no way he can worm his way out of this pit that he's dug himself into, it's either acknowledging something embarrassing or saying something nice about someone openly, this is such a disaster. ]
no subject
[But if he keeps this up she might end up sick from THIS MESS gosh. Okay no she'll be well.]
I will tell her so. I remember her advice before. She was helpful, so I think she deserves to be told. [You know who else deserves to be called nice. ADOLF for thinking Akane is great. Two cutes who are too cute. Ugh, Vietnam's going to die.]
no subject
So, instead of arguing— he waves it off, closes his eyes and hopes against hope that he can stop feeling so human. It's difficult... it's too hard?! ]
If you have compliments to give, why don't you go and give them to the person whose birthday it is today.
[ YEAH go give Akane nice things!!! Except definitely don't tell her that he said nice things about her??? You wouldn't dare, Vietnam, don't be rude to a sick eel. ]
no subject
And she doesn't know about his Despair quite yet, so all what she's trying to do files as "very simple" in her mind. But his tsun is pretty intense.]
I did. I called her Teacher today. [She's got all her bases covered, to be honest. But...BUT...she would tell Akane if Adolf didn't tell her to keep it quiet. He hasn't yet, so...]
no subject
God, that's precious. Good thing his expression doesn't change, that would betray too much about how endearing he finds these girls. ]
That's your idea of a compliment?
[ Tea...sing. Maybe. If only he would learn how to inflect more??
But even with his eyes closed, he might look slightly more relaxed. Cute girls bonding... people need more nice things from life. ]
no subject
He's too pro at this, seriously.]
Oh? [He didn't open his eyes, so he's not scolding, if anything.] What would you call someone who teaches you how to ice skate, then? I believe you might be the expert in compliments.
[If he...you know, gave them.]
no subject
My subordinates wouldn't agree with that comment.
[ He is So Rude to his babies, you have no idea... but then again, all his cute kids see right through him, so this might not actually be a correct assertion to make on his part. ]
no subject
Ah, do they think you too strict? They do say that the strictest leaders are the ones who care the most. Spare the rod, spoil the child, as they once said.
[Not that anyone can really get that rod anymore but details.]
no subject
[ That isn't necessarily a nontruth, so he doesn't feel bad needling himself for it. Vietnam is truly too generous about her judgment of his character. ]
no subject
[In a way all nations are optimists, but she's not entirely sure if that is it.] You are in war, no? Especially when it involves life and death, one cannot be too careful. Even if you think it's too harsh. I know how hard it can be. The one time we worked together to take down our dinner, I was able to experience a little bit of what you're like, so I think my viewpoint here is backed up by evidence.
But then I might still be biased.
no subject
[ That's a dangerous trait, he thinks— too much to give, too much to lose. If only he knew that this is basically the way nations operate.
He shifts on the couch, though, and readjusts the wet cloth Vietnam gave him. ]
But I'm not here to argue. From what you've told me about yourself, you've seen your fair share of troubles.
no subject
[Adolf has given her no reason to dislike him. His actions speak louder than anything else, in her opinion. If she had judged him by how harsh he is and pushed him away, she's sure she would've lost a lot more.
Seeing how she's readjusting the cloth, she quickly moves in to fix it for him, so that he he doesn't have to move a lot.]
Such troubles only helped me learn and grow. I am who I am now only because of them.
no subject
People are glad for that, probably.
[ For her being the way she is, he means. He doesn't elaborate beyond that, though, because he's tsun and also because he feels like he's said too much; maybe he's revealing too much of himself by saying things like that. ]
no subject
Really? I guess it could've been worse.
[She could've been bitter and gross. Adolf sure is a man of Few Words right right right.]
