[02] for there's no blue monday
Who: Wall-E and you!!
When: 4/20?
Where: Out and about for option A, at his residence for option B
What: A mechanical cinnamon roll that is too good for this world, too pure, might need a little help here.
Rating/Warning: N/A? I'll adjust this if necessary.
A
[So, you might be able to spot Wall-E as you go about your day today, whether it be near the dump, in the entertainment or resident districts, perched on a rather high spot (one that he might not actually know how to get back down from), rolling along down a random street, etc.
He's currently got his hands held up towards the sky, a solar-paneled tray sitting in them as he seems to be trying to acquire some extra battery power. He's been feeling surprisingly worn down more than he normally would even with a low battery for the past several days, his movements being rather sluggish. He had thought that maybe his sensors indicating his battery power were wrong, hence the attempt at trying to recharge... except, it's not really working. Not simply because he hasn't found an adequate source to provide solar power, but because Wall-E is in fact already supposed to be at full battery here.
After a few more minutes or so of nothing happening, Wall-E begins to slump, making a noise that almost sounds like a tired wheeze. Maybe he should just give up and go home to power down for the day, but... even with a full battery, it doesn't quite feel like he has the energy to move...]
B
[Maybe you're just walking down the hallway outside the door of Wall-E's residence, or maybe you actually came here on purpose to visit him, but either way, you might suddenly hear a loud crash coming from somewhere inside and some momentary robotic noises of distress. If you check the door, you'll find that it's unlocked.
.... Investigate?]

a! I SAID I'D BE HERE
do you speak magnetism, wall-e? ]
EXCELLENT
Ah... hiiiii? [You sound a little distressed, is everything alright there Beldum?]
no subject
whatever it is, it does seem to have quite the personality. even wall-e's gentle greeting will make it startle, letting out a surprised noise along with it. things get 10000% scarier when you're lost, but... this thing doesn't seem to be out for blood. unfortunately beldum doesn't have hands to wave back, but it does stare at wall-e and make a curious chirp back. ]
no subject
Waaalllyyy! [What about you? Do you got a name we can call you by?]
no subject
it tilts its body, almost in a questioning "what are you doing?" while its eye focuses on the other's solar panel. what the heck is that, dude? ]
no subject
But then he makes a noise that almost sounds like a sigh as he lowers his hands back down a little as he speaks.]
Need... powerrrr... [Or at least he thinks that's what he needs, because why else would he feel so... tired, for lack of a better word. It's pretty strange, honestly.]
no subject
but speak of the devil, because the sound of a human man's voice is coming from below them! ]
Beldum! Where did you go?
[ the voice makes beldum squeak in happiness to wall-e. he can help! they need to get down there, quick! ]
no subject
He pauses as he looks down at the boxes, noting that one of them was knocked over at some point while we were up here... erm... maybe we should call that friend of yours over to move it back in place so that we can get down from here?]
no subject
with its eye focused on wall-e, it musters up all the magnetic force its little body has onto him. it looks like all of that practice has paid off, because after a moment or two, wall-e will begin to float himself. neat! ]
no subject
Wh--whoa! [That startles Wall-E a little when he starts being lifted off the ground, wheels rolling a bit uselessly with no ground underneath them now. But, once he's simply floating, he makes a little "ooooh" noise of interest, looking down and around him before looking back at Beldum. Are you gonna be able to bring us down to where your friend is?]
no subject
it's a steady decline (with a few bumps from beldum trying its best not to lose its focus), but they finally make it back to ground level. it takes a few seconds to locate exactly where steven's voice came from, but upon seeing its trainer, beldum drops wall-e (a little suddenly, oops) and speeds over to nuzzle itself in his chest.
steven lets out a little "oof" at the impact, but embraces the steel-type all the same. ]
There you are... We've talked about you wandering off, haven't we? It's dangerous.
[ and that's when he notices wall-e on the ground. now what could that be...? ]
no subject
Um... hiii? [This is accompanied by a small, timid wave of his hand. Nice to meet you?]
no subject
Hello there. [ his smile is small, but oddly warm. ] I'm sorry if my friend caused you any trouble.
no subject
[This is accompanied by some slight hand-waving about--your friend wasn't any trouble at all! Heck, without their help, we might not have been able to get back as easily as we had.
He then considers Steven for a moment, before he then speaks.]
Waaalllyyy! [Or "Wall-E" as Steven may or may not notice printed on the corner of his chest here, but hopefully he should be able to understand that it's his name.]
no subject
his expression turns curious for a moment before it clicks. was this little bot introducing himself? huh. ]
...Steven. Nice to meet you. [ he'll hold out a couple of fingers for a handshake, if he likes! ]
no subject
[He stares at the offered fingers for a moment before he then reaches a hand out (...with what appears to be some amount of difficulty opening his hand momentarily) but he manages to take and accept the offered handshake. It's nice to meet you too, Steven!
...Give him a second here, he'll get his hand back open so that he can let go of your hand soon, we swear. Once he does, he then brings his hand to look at it curiously, which is probably an indication that it's not normally supposed to be that difficult to open or close.]
no subject
Did you need help with something?
[ it's his intuition speaking, but he's almost never wrong when he has a hunch. ]
no subject
Still, this is a little odd. He was so sure that he had checked everything out yesterday and there wasn't anything wrong, but today...
He holds his hand back out towards Steven. Can you try looking at it and telling him if there's anything that seems off to you? (There probably won't be anything actually noticeably off though, aside from looking like they haven't been properly cleaned in ages...)]
no subject
Do you run on a battery?
B
But then he heard the sudden crash coming from inside the apartment and those distressed robot noises. Perhaps they sounded familiar?
Even if it isn't recognizeable, Phoenix's concern takes over. He drops the grocery bags and goes over to the door.]
Hold it! [He tries to shout threw the door.]
Is anyone alright in there? What just happened?!
no subject
[The noise that Phoenix is greeted with sounds like a mechanical whine, but otherwise there's no other voice indicating that there's someone else in there aside from the robot.
It also doesn't seem like he is going to be coming to the door anytime soon, so you'll probably have to just come right on in and see for yourself what's going on here.]
no subject
So, Phoenix dramatically kicks the door open and barges into the apartment.]
Objection!!
no subject
Including the contents of a large and heavy box of silverware and plates (the latter of which more than likely broken now) that seems to have fallen over on top of a small robot. It's slowly picking itself back up off the floor, before it stops to turn and give Phoenix a startled look.]
Feeenix...? [What are you doing here?]
no subject
What's wrong - are you alright?!
A \o/!!!
Wally, hi! What do you have there?
no subject
He holds up the solar panel, allowing Yona to take a look at it.]
Ch...chaaarrrging... [It's what he uses to keep his battery at full power. There's even a little light on at the front of his chest indicating it's current state.]
no subject
no subject
But, then his arms lower the solar panels back downward, making a noise that almost sounds like a tired sigh. Even though he should be at full power right now, it feels tiring just holding up these panels at the moment...]
no subject
Why don't you go home? You look like you could use some rest.
