Who: Miles Edgeworth, his faithful canine sidekick Pess, and YOU!
When: Any day after the intro log.
Where: Errywhere, pretty much. See prompts for locations.
What: Edgeworth takes his dog around, and runs into people. Adorbs ensues.
Rating/Warning: Dog. Grumpy prosecutor being a little less grumpy.

[OPTION A: RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT

Edgeworth is taking his dog out for a walk around the district. And before he can do anything, the big and very real tricolor border collie suddenly stands up on his hind legs and barks excitedly at the first person he sees (which is you, sorry). Pess may or may not brace his front paws on your thigh or any part of you he can reach, tail wagging with anticipation. It's a new friend. New friend!!! On the bright side, he's a pretty clean dog. NEW FRIEND!!!

Edgeworth doesn't care, and gasps at this public display of affection.]

Pess, no. [That firm "no" is all it takes for Pess to behave, although his tail is still wagging like crazy and he's panting and grinning as a dog would. Edgeworth sighs, shaking his head. He's quick to apologize.] I'm sorry; he enjoys meeting new people.

[Far more than his master.]

[OPTION B: SHOPPING DISTRICT

There's a cleaning robot. It's doing its business, sweeping up some debris from a nearby food stall. Suddenly, out of nowhere comes this border collie. He bounds over to the robot, starts sniffing it, and promptly raises one leg ominously over the poor thing.

What do you do, responsible citizen of Cerealia? What do you do - well, while Edgeworth hasn't caught up with his dog, anyway?]

[OPTION C: GARDENS

Pess is a pro at getting people to play with him. So while you're there, you may just find this dog walking up to you with a stick, or a ball, in his mouth. He drops this at your feet, wanting a game of fetch. If you take too long to decide what to do, he'll just sit down, tail wagging happily and staring up at you with those big pleading puppy eyes.

Edgeworth is close by. He'll be looking for his dog when Pess takes a bit too long to get back to him.]

[OPTION D: GARDENS/SHOPPING DISTRICT/RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT/POLICE DEPT.

Drop something? If you did, you might just find this dog picking it up and offering it back to you suddenly before Edgeworth can act. Yeah, I guess Edgeworth is in this prompt too. Thank his dog. And the master, maybe. THEY'RE GOOD PEOPLES...er, peoples and doge.]

[THAT HE DOES. THAT HE DOES. Pess nuzzles her hand when she pets him as if to say YES GOOD.

And when that stick flies, Pess zooms after it with a happy bark. He swoops down to snatch it up in his jaws and runs back to the stick thrower eagerly to deposit it at her feet again for another run.]

[amanesuzuha]

[She gives a small laugh just watching Pess zoom off. Dogs were always so fast and cute, it was just hard not to want to play fetch with them! She waits patiently until Pess comes back with the stick.]

Good boy! [She smiles happily, bending down to get the stick again. It was a bit wetter now, but Suzuha didn't mind. If it made the dog happy, she could probably throw the stick for hours. Maybe.]

Here we go again! [And with a whoosh the stick was gone again]

[prosecutory]

[With a whoosh, Pess likewise takes off.

When he returns, he has a human trailing alongside him. This human, in fact.]

I hope Pess hasn't been a bother; it looks like he's been gathering playmates.

[amanesuzuha]

Oh, you must be his owner!

[She was wondering why Pess was alone, but now it made sense. Silly dog, but still she couldn't be mad! After all, playing with him was fun.]

You don't need to worry, I've actually enjoyed playing with him. Though, he did give me a bit of a fright at first! [She laughs a little at herself. There was no need for her to have been that way.]

[prosecutory]

A fright? [He blinks, looking down at his dog dropping the stick onto the grass.] Did he...do anything? [Pess was trained not to bite people - well, unless he was provoked enough by idiots.]

[amanesuzuha]

O-oh no no [She shakes her head] I just didn't expect to see him. I guess I was just in my own world?

Surprised would have probably been a better word.

[prosecutory]

Ah, I see. [Pess plops down onto the grass in front of the stick expectantly.]

It seems that he enjoyed playing with you, too.

[amanesuzuha]

I'm glad to hear that.

[She realized that she had yet to introduce herself! It was only right after playing with someone else's dog... or so she thought at least.]

My name is Suzuha Amane, it's nice to meet you and Pess as well!

[And she bends down to give Pess a small pet on his head. Now introductions were complete! Though, she figured she technically already introduced herself to Pess when she petted him early prior to throwing the stick but... she'll wave off that thought for now!]

[prosecutory]

It's a pleasure to meet you...Suzuha, is it? [He bows. Meanwhile, Pess lets out a happy yip at being petted.] I am Miles Edgeworth.

[amanesuzuha]

[Nervously she gives a small bow back, just to be polite.]

I see, I'll do my best to remember that Miles Edgeworth.

May I ask how long you and Pess have been here? Someone I knew said they've been here for just a month, so I'm a little curious.

[prosecutory]

I have been here for about eight months, but Pess joined me only several days ago.

Eight months? I can't imagine how it must be leaving here for that long, has it been difficult? [Suzuha was honestly a little curious, part of her knew the feeling of living somewhere different for a long period of time but didn't know that others had done it as well.]

Though, I'm surprised Pess has been here for such a short amount of time, the two of you seem so close!

[prosecutory]

Actually, I've had him for about five years back home.

[Yeah, Pess was reclaimed from his world.]

/flails I'm so sorry this is late

O-oh, so that would explain why! He must have missed you until now although... does time pass in our timelines while we are here? It might have felt like nothing to him.

[She is sort of more talking to herself now, curious about the time differences and factors.]

Sorry, you can probably tell I'm a little new here and still working out everything.

According to the Powerpoint presentation you saw when you first arrived, our worlds have been destroyed.

[He pauses. Pess rolls over on his back as if demanding more petting.]

CERES is trying to restore them and would supposedly stabilize them at times; that's what they told me after I managed to return home. It was exactly as it was when I left it.

[What Edgeworth doesn't mention is that when he left, he was sent to a different world entirely.]

[amanesuzuha]

This is the first time I think someone has mentioned that CERES are trying to restore them, I'm glad to hear that at least. Though, at first I couldn't believe the worlds were destroyed.

I can't really explain this too well, but I sort of thought I'd know somehow. I talked to someone from my world about that, and he explained that it might happen long after anything I know about. It took a bit for that to sink in really.

Maybe I just didn't want myself to admit that... it was all really gone.

[She looks to be a little upset from talking about this, like it was her fault. Her hand moves slowly back to Pess to pet him some more to try and relax herself again but the sadness is still obvious on her face.]

[prosecutory]

It's just as possible that they're hiding something from us.

[Pess nudges her hand as if encouraging her to pet him.]

I returned home twice. And twice I was brought back here. I don't believe in coincidences.

[amanesuzuha]

That's true, it's part of the reason why I'm going to start to take notes on things I've learned. I want to learn as much as I can about this place, so I can be prepared for whatever happens.

[She feels Pess nudging at her hand, it sort of tickled so she lets out a small giggle before she softly strokes his fur.]

I'm sure we'll reach a proper conclusion eventually.

[prosecutory]

That's a good practice; I myself have been recording all my experiences since I arrived.

[Pess leans against Suzuha. Sweet, he can get petting off her just by acting adorable.]

[amanesuzuha]

Maybe once I get more info, we can both discuss what we know? I'd love to have someone I can talk to about all of this. After all, don't they say that two heads are better than one?

[She gives a gentle smile as she speaks, just thinking about the idea of having someone to talk to is somewhat of a relief for her. Not to mention, the more she got to talk with you, the more time she'd spend with Pess too! It was sort of a win-win situation for her.]

[prosecutory]

That sounds good. [He taps his temple with a finger and gives her a grin of approval.] You can discuss your information with others as well; many would be very interested.

[amanesuzuha]

Oh, of course. I will make sure to let others know as well, especially if I come across something important! That way everyone will have more knowledge that they can hopefully spread to newcomers whenever they come here.

[She's honestly excited about the whole idea, after all the more correct information out there, the better chances they had of finding the truth. Though, part of it was probably because she didn't want others to have misconceptions about things like she did a while back.]

[prosecutory]

Athena Cykes has actually compiled a document detailing the events that have happened since the very first batch of newcomers arrived.

[Athena could surely use the help.]

I've contributed some of my notes to her cause; she would appreciate help for any future incidents.

Athena Cykes, okay I'll do my best to keep her in mind then. I'll try to speak to her in the future if I find anything or want to ask her anything I've not spoken with you about already.

[She takes a moment to take out her cerevice and notes that name down for future reference and then puts it away again. She takes a small glance back at pess, smiles a little and gently pets his head.]

Sorry for not giving you much attention Pess! But this was important. Also [looking back at Edgeworth] Sorry if I've taken up too much of your time... you must get asked a lot by newcomers when they arrive.

[Pess doesn't mind, thankfully.]
