dog day afternoon [OPEN]
Who: Miles Edgeworth, his faithful canine sidekick Pess, and YOU!
When: Any day after the intro log.
Where: Errywhere, pretty much. See prompts for locations.
What: Edgeworth takes his dog around, and runs into people. Adorbs ensues.
Rating/Warning: Dog. Grumpy prosecutor being a little less grumpy.
[OPTION A: RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT
Edgeworth is taking his dog out for a walk around the district. And before he can do anything, the big and very real tricolor border collie suddenly stands up on his hind legs and barks excitedly at the first person he sees (which is you, sorry). Pess may or may not brace his front paws on your thigh or any part of you he can reach, tail wagging with anticipation. It's a new friend. New friend!!! On the bright side, he's a pretty clean dog. NEW FRIEND!!!
Edgeworth doesn't care, and gasps at this public display of affection.]
Pess, no. [That firm "no" is all it takes for Pess to behave, although his tail is still wagging like crazy and he's panting and grinning as a dog would. Edgeworth sighs, shaking his head. He's quick to apologize.] I'm sorry; he enjoys meeting new people.
[Far more than his master.]
[OPTION B: SHOPPING DISTRICT
There's a cleaning robot. It's doing its business, sweeping up some debris from a nearby food stall. Suddenly, out of nowhere comes this border collie. He bounds over to the robot, starts sniffing it, and promptly raises one leg ominously over the poor thing.
What do you do, responsible citizen of Cerealia? What do you do - well, while Edgeworth hasn't caught up with his dog, anyway?]
[OPTION C: GARDENS
Pess is a pro at getting people to play with him. So while you're there, you may just find this dog walking up to you with a stick, or a ball, in his mouth. He drops this at your feet, wanting a game of fetch. If you take too long to decide what to do, he'll just sit down, tail wagging happily and staring up at you with those big pleading puppy eyes.
Edgeworth is close by. He'll be looking for his dog when Pess takes a bit too long to get back to him.]
[OPTION D: GARDENS/SHOPPING DISTRICT/RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT/POLICE DEPT.
Drop something? If you did, you might just find this dog picking it up and offering it back to you suddenly before Edgeworth can act. Yeah, I guess Edgeworth is in this prompt too. Thank his dog. And the master, maybe. THEY'RE GOOD PEOPLES...er, peoples and doge.]
[OPTION E: WILDCARD
Do you want doge somewhere else? Let me know if you want another prompt!]

[to that, stahn can at least smile a little more again. he really dislikes thinking about animals not getting treated in the best way possible. so he can just fix his attention on giving pess a lot of love, right? right.]
Days like this aren't so bad. Even if there's a lot I need to do back home... there are still things here I don't mind.

[He also had a lot to do back home, but in the meantime, while he couldn't leave...he could always make the most out of it.]
This would be an extended vacation if we weren't constantly disturbed by something happening in the colony or in ViViD.

[probably because he was in the middle of dealing with a really bad, potentially world-destroying crisis.]
What does it mean for our own worlds? I'm not sure it's really like CERES says it is. [would that mean they're trying to deal with things while he's here? it's hard to fathom.]

[There's a faraway glint in his eyes. He has been away from home for too long. Way too long. It may already be close to two years in total, counting his time in Death City.]
Only to be pulled back here and given the same story all over again.
no subject
[he's been home twice, and now he's here? this is the first time stahn is hearing anything like this happening where there was actual confirmation that it's the case.]
So does that mean they're really okay, then?
no subject
[He folds his arms across his chest, a finger tapping against his forearm.]
But it happened again.
no subject
[he sighs a little—stahn doesn't really get all the coding technobabble at all.]
It's kind of hard to believe though.

[Miles Edgeworth: Ace Skeptic.]

I wonder what they're up to that they keep so many secrets from us. They say they're helping us, and I don't want to say they're not, but... [what are they doing?]
no subject
[There's a determined light in his gray eyes.]
no subject
[for someone who is full of sunshine and usually seems kind of goofy... it's probab;y pretty clear that stahn has conviction about this just as much as edgeworth does.]
no subject
That's good to hear. We'll need all the help we can get.
no subject
[it is one of stahn's better traits. idiot as he may be in a lot of ways, his compassion and care for everyone around him always motivates the right choices.]
no subject
[Because they both know that these peaceful days will soon come to an end. Again.]
no subject
[he gives pess a few more pets before bringing himself to his feet.] I guess I shouldn't keep you any longer, huh? I'm sure Pess want to get some more energy out!
no subject
I think so too. And I shouldn't keep you any longer, as well.
no subject
[he'll give a nod and a wave... and stahn is off. enjoy the rest of your day, edgeworth!]
