Family Dinner and Preparations therefore

Who: [personal profile] notsosolo & OPEN
When: Beginning of mask shenanigans
Where: Grocery store and residences
What: Han shops for groceries and throws a family dinner
Rating/Warning: (None, NSFW etc)

I- Grocery Store

Han's not quite sure how he's wound up with so many people under his care. It was a gradual process, and somebody has to do it. But the end result is that if he wants to hold dinner for everyone he's taken on, it involves quite a shopping trip. So he's loading up his grocery cart with all manner of meat and vegetables to feed his crowd.

II- Heading Home

He's got quite an assortment of shopping bags, in the end. He stops to shift a few items around to make the bags easier to carry and comes across...

He definitely didn't buy a mask at the grocery store. "Huh."

III- Anakin's apartment, Kylo's apartment

He's not sure either of them are really keen for the idea of joining a family dinner. But they both apparently are family. So he's knocking on their doors to at least invite them. Leia would want him to make this effort.

IV- For Han's army of Jedi and Digidestined

Family dinners are always one of Han's favourite things. And there's no reason he shouldn't continue that here. He's prepared a classic Corellian sausage dish as well as a lighter Alderaan inspired salad that Leia once mentioned and invited all his assorted strays to join him for a proper family meal.

I hope so. [He's not entirely sure if Han offered because he's just someone from their galaxy, but if Han already has two children he's taken under his wing, he likes to think it's because Han just has a good heart and not that he feels obligated. Her smile does help him relax more though.]

I'm Obi-Wan. What's your name?

Hikari.

My name is Yagami Hikari.

[Offered in the traditional Japanese family-name-first order.]

And this is Tailmon. [She motioned to a small, white creature with big, yellow claws and purple markings off to one side.] She's my digimon partner.

Hello, Hikari. [He gives a nod of greeting along with a 'hello' to Tailmon too, in case she's sentient. He's from a galaxy full of aliens, so he's not sure if she's a different species or just a kind of animal from Hikari's world.] It's nice to meet you both.

[Funny enough, Hikari didn't even flinch at being addressed by her family name. She was still young enough that going by her first name wasn't too forward. The other Chosen children always called her Hikari-chan, and both her big brother and Tailmon referred to her by her first name without any honorifics at all.]

[But it was still a common enough Japanese tradition that, even without the honorific, she saw no reason to correct him right away.]

You as well, Obi-Wan-san.

The other boy, Takeru, he called me that too. Does the -san mean something...? [He asks it curiously, hoping it's not too forward of a question.]

[Oh. She'd...never really had to explain it before; back home, honorifics were so culturally prevalent that it would have been strange not to hear it. And even here, most people seemed to either be familiar with the tradition, or went along with it anyway.]

It's the way we refer to people back home.

Like, Takeru-kun is Takeru-kun to me, and I'm Hikari-chan to him. Because we're friends and the same age. But if we don't know somebody, or they're a little older than us, we can call them -san instead.

[There were others, of course, but those were the only relevant ones in the moment.\]

[He nods, understanding it for the most part, although he's not sure what the difference between -kun and -chan is. Maybe it has something to do with gender?] Would you like me to call you Hikari-san? [Since he doesn't know her.]

[He wouldn't be the first; Koushiro was also so incredibly formal as to refer to her as such, even though he was close to two years' her senior.]

It's up to you.

I don't mind.
