Family Dinner and Preparations therefore

I- Grocery Store

Han's not quite sure how he's wound up with so many people under his care. It was a gradual process, and somebody has to do it. But the end result is that if he wants to hold dinner for everyone he's taken on, it involves quite a shopping trip. So he's loading up his grocery cart with all manner of meat and vegetables to feed his crowd.

II- Heading Home

He's got quite an assortment of shopping bags, in the end. He stops to shift a few items around to make the bags easier to carry and comes across...

He definitely didn't buy a mask at the grocery store. "Huh."

III- Anakin's apartment, Kylo's apartment

He's not sure either of them are really keen for the idea of joining a family dinner. But they both apparently are family. So he's knocking on their doors to at least invite them. Leia would want him to make this effort.

IV- For Han's army of Jedi and Digidestined

Family dinners are always one of Han's favourite things. And there's no reason he shouldn't continue that here. He's prepared a classic Corellian sausage dish as well as a lighter Alderaan inspired salad that Leia once mentioned and invited all his assorted strays to join him for a proper family meal.

A buncha kids? That's what you're calling it? In most cases, we call it hoggin' all the food!

Ever since Takeru heard about the family dinner, he was so ready for it! It's so rare that all of his family members get together for a dinner so why not have one with all of his friends here? Of course, as he looked through the food, the boy's stomach started growling.

Man, he really wanted to eat something but it would be rude to eat before everyone else!

"Go ahead." This isn't a state function, after all. And there aren't exactly a lot of pre-dining customs on Corellia. Or at least not in the circles Han grew up in. They weren't exactly steeped in ritual. Mostly just in trying to eat.

"Are you sure though? Shouldn't we wait for the others? It'll be kind of rude if I just ate before them!" Even though his stomach was growling badly and wanted something to eat. Of course, his mom usually let him eat first anyway but he wasn't at home anymore.

He was at someone else's house and he needed to be polite!

"This is pretty casual." Because Han is at his heart a very casual guy. Formality is something he dealt with when he had to and that's it. Something he organized didn't need it in the slightest. "No sense in lettering your dinner get cold."

Takeru just stared back at the food and then back to Han. As he continued to repeat this process, it looked like his hunger got the better of him. Without another moment to lose, he just got a plate and off he went to eat!

"Then that means you should eat something too! And especially when you're hungry!"

Congrats Han, you've grabbed the last bundle of celery right as someone else was starting to reach for it.

"Ah." Lop can't help but making a very, very quiet noise of disappointment under his breath as he withdraws his hand. And then immediately realizes how rude that must have been. As soon as Han so much as glances at him, he's quick to duck his head, ears flicking back in embarrassment. "-- sorry."

Han hadn't even noticed him until he spoke. "If you have your heart set on celery, I can use something else." He's already substituting for vegetables found only in a galaxy far, far away after all.

[Obi-Wan is looking forward to actually eating something he's familiar with. Even so, he still feels a trickle of nervousness, because Han had extended an invitation for Obi-Wan to come stay with him and the two other children who were living there since Jaina and Rey disappeared.

He's used to having Qui-Gon around, but he had his own room back at the Jedi Temple, and to make it easier adjusting to being here without his master, he'd likened living in one of the apartments by himself to living at the Temple. There were people around, but he had his own space. He just... hadn't often interacted with his neighbors like he had during his stay at the Temple between missions. Having friends he saw constantly would be more preferable to him, but he wasn't very familiar with Han, and he didn't know the two children who lived with him. He hadn't decided on if he would take Han up on his offer or not just yet, but tonight would be a good time to get to know the man a bit better and meet the two kids.

And get some proper food.

So here he is now, standing just inside the door of the apartment after being shown in, unsure of what to do next.]

[And here, the moment that Takeru saw a certain person standing just inside the door of the apartment? He already knew who he was. After all, Han did say that there were going to be quite a few people coming along! And what better way than to welcome someone into the place then to greet them!

That and it would be rude to not say hi to the infamous master of Luke Skywalker! So here, have a young blond boy coming your way!]

Hi there! You must be Obi-Wan-san right?

[Han pokes his head out of the kitchen when he hears sound in the entry.]

You can come on in and have a seat, Obi-Wan.

Thank you for inviting me. [Obi-Wan says it with a nod towards Han when he ushers him in, then turns his attention to the young kid who's just come up to him.]

Yes, I'm Obi-Wan. It's nice to meet you. [He's not sure what the -san thing is but he doesn't want to point it out in case that might be considered rude where the young kid is from.]

It's nice to meet you too!

[He shouted before gesturing him to the place. Although, he had to admit, it was kind of weird seeing Obi-Wan when he was so much younger...]

Do you want anything to drink while we wait? Or anything you might want at all?

[Because you know. It's Obi-Wan!!]

[This kid sure is pretty excited...] Uhm, whatever you usually have is fine with me.

[Among the ever-growing number of individuals being invited to the apartment, Hikari was quiet. Then again, she was usually quiet. Sitting on the couch while she watched the adults come and go. Waiting patiently for the food to be ready. She'd tried to offer her help earlier, but the recipe wasn't something she was familiar with. Certainly, nothing her mother had ever prepared back home.]

[Though it did smell good.]

[Her stomach growled at one point, and she covered it with her hands in hopes of concealing the noise. Which was precisely the position Obi-Wan would find her in when he entered the room, only to stand just inside the door. Looking rather nervous, from her point of view.]

Are you one of Han-san's friends too?

[Obi-Wan looks over someone speaks to him, spotting a young girl. He gives her a light smile.] I'd like to think so. [It was a bit complicated because he's never met Han before coming here, but Han has already met him in the future when he's older. It seemed like they didn't have any issues with each other in the future, at least, so that counted for something, right?]

[She stared back at him for a moment. Like she were looking for a sign of...something in particular.]

[Whatever it was, she must have found it, because she smiled soon after. It was small, but warm and friendly.]

He invited you here.

That means he thinks of you as a friend. I'm sure of it.

[She knew it might be considered rude, but...she couldn't help herself; wandering into the kitchen while the food was cooking, she risked standing up on her toes by the nearest counter and peeking at the source of that delicious smell.]

What is it? It smells wonderful.

[Han by no means minds children coming into the kitchen. He likes it, actually. That's how he learned all this from Dewlanna.]

What you're smelling is probably the sausages. There's a lot of spice in them.

Did you want to help me make some salad dressing?

[givesalittlewhistle]

Can I?

[Her eyes lit up at the thought of being able to help. And she didn't know how to make salad dressing, so it would be a new experience for her! One that...hopefully wasn't too difficult. She'd hate to accidentally mess up his dinner.]

Sure.

[It's a good job for a kid, since there's no chopping involved.]

There's a few things you need in any salad dressing.

[He starts pulling bottles from the pantry]
