Who: Edna, Mikleo, Sorey, Rose, Alisha (aka zestyhaus)

Where: ~~zestyhaus~~ Zestiria cast's apartment.
What: They all try to figure out what exactly is going on with these weird masks that just so happened to show up and creep them out.
Rating/Warning: None, aside from Tales of Zestiria spoilers.

[ It's a print she's seen many times before. Not (always) in blood, but mostly heavily imprinted onto the earth as it sunk in due to the sheer weight of the one who landed on it. The image is burned into her head, so Edna really doesn't need yet another reminder of how things were back on Rayfalke, especially when said reminder comes in the form of a mask that seems to insistently follow her everywhere.

It's strange of course, and it bids questions and answers. So many questions, and perhaps they'll find answers if they all gather together, like what she called for by making an announcement to everyone in the apartment to meet at the dining table.

She holds her own mask in her hand, ivory white and sterile to the touch, yet splattered with the color of blood over its face in the shape of a giant claw (or rather, a third of it, given how huge dragons really are in comparison), with white curving the blood splatter in places where scales would be, and then lightly tosses it onto the table. Her lighthearted gestures are simply those, just gestures she's performing to show how unaffected she is (spoilers: actually, not very), but they're probably fooling no one, with how tightly she grips her parasol with her other hand. Afterwards, she taps the floor with her parasol in a relatively quiet bid for attention. ]

So. Creepy masks. Who else got one?

[ Sorey's been with Edna long enough to be able to tell she's actually affected by this. Which means he's concerned for her, but he's also concerned for everyone else and what they might be dealing with maskwise, and ... he's concerned about his own mask as well. He notices the similarity between them — the blood, mainly — when she tosses hers on the table, and he reaches to take his own out from where he'd secured it against his waist in the side of his pants. ]

Here's mine. [ Placing it on the table near Edna's. ] It's got blood on it, too.

[ Like Edna's, but at the same time not like Edna's. Though he doesn't sound happy about it either way. Hers has those claw marks, but his has actual fingerprints on it. Which is ... concerning. Incredibly concerning. It puts a bad taste in his mouth. ]

[Mikleo knows better than to think that Edna is unaffected by her mask. The fact that Sorey has something similar to hers is...unnerving, and may mean the same exact thing. On the other hand....]

Sorey and I got one from that fortune teller at the circus.

[He tosses his on the table as well. Unlike theirs, his looks like it's slowly starting to drip with blood down its face. The water seraph crosses his arms, trying not to look uncomfortable.]

It doesn't feel like there's blood on it, though. More like it's actually part of the mask.

I didn't get any from a fortune teller, it sorta just popped up in my room out of nowhere.

[ Which is freaking weird of all hell. Unlike Mikleo's and Sorey's (given they got one from the fortune teller) her mask seems to be just a bit different in comparison, but similar in the ways like Sorey's it's covered in regular fingerprints. Given Sorey's and Edna's own seem to be similar with Rose's all together..

Though she has to lean in to look at Mikleo's cause in comparison his is dripping blood instead. ] Looks like we didn't all get the same deal-- Huh?

What kinda markings are those? Is that a monster's foot? [ And now she's pointing out Edna's mask. Tact, where is that exactly? ]

[ ROSE......... ]

...That's Eizen's footprint. I've seen it a lot of times.

[ She tries to avoid dwelling on that for too long, of course. The others should know the significance of that just in those 3 words. ]

This also just showed up out of nowhere. I made sure to avoid that creepy fortune teller. That makes 3 of us with kind of similar masks. What makes you special, Mikleo?

[ Although there...are a bunch of things that make Mikleo special, honestly, most of which relate to Camlann. ]

[It's not cool being the special snowflake. At least, not now it certainly isn't.]

I don't know, but it looks like it might have a connection to the other masks. All four deal with blood, which doesn't usually mean anything pleasant.

[The water seraph thinks for a moment.]

It might be easier to solve the mystery of your masks first in that case. If you've got Eizen's prints on your mask, then what does he have in common with Sorey's and Rose's?

I...don't know. That's what we're here to figure out.

[ Hm... ]

Since we all have somewhat similar masks, and these masks are prooobably supposed to hit us close to home in order to better freak us out [ That's her idea of what the masks are trying to do: freak them out. ], maybe we should figure out what us three have in common. I can't think of anything physically. And lords forbid we share anything in common mentally.

[ Ah...even when talking about freaky masks in a serious situation, she manages to get a jab in.

Sorey, Rose, and Edna are...about as different as anyone can get, in terms of physical and mental characteristics. But Eizen is a factor here too...and blood is never a good sign.

(But maybe it's not who they all are, but what they've all done.) ]

[.... oh. yikes... Rose's expression falls almost instantly at that.]

Ah.. Sorry, Edna.

[ Let's just move on, shall they?? ] Hmm....

[ Well the marks on her's and Sorey's are obviously not footprints but fingerprints are similar enough, yeah? So it's definitely something that they have to have in common then.]

Say, what about between Eizen and Edna then? Since Eizen is Edna's brother, maybe it's family related? [ Given her own past and all though...]

.. Ehh, maybe not, don't think that really counts for me. [ And here she thought was going somewhere with that. If only she knew.] Ughhhh, this is way too much thinking for me.
