[In this nifty little space, I'm going to mention that Sousei and Tenka used the HOLO(gm) to make the entire apartment look closer to the shrine, complete with sliding screen doors and tatami mats. They tossed all of the chairs out the window and proceeded to get really low tables and cushions so that they could sit around as they normally do.

The kitchen is the only modern-looking part of the apartment because they realized that as much as they fail at cooking, what they have is already better than the kitchen of the shrine. They also bought a rice cooker because that's pretty important.

For now, everyone has their own room. Subject to change if this family gets bigger or they decide to knock down a wall to the next apartment over. Who knows, maybe that'll happen on accident.

Lastly, they kept the couch. Because Tenka liked it and he still claims to be The Rule.]

Well, I'm sorry if you didn't want to know or didn't care because you're going to find out. Quickly and against your will.

Because look, all he wanted was to use the restroom - a guy's gotta go when a guy's gotta go - and isn't even familiar with what this "Halloween" business is about. So when all of a sudden their door is jammed and won't let him out (because as much as he wants to pretend it's a screen door, it's actually definitely metal) until he beats this game....

Cue some colorful cursing and grumbling and even some clanging as he's trying to kick down the door from his side.]

What the hell is this?!

[It's 3 am and Sousei did not know where he Tenka is because he was happily asleep. He is, however, no longer happily asleep.

Tenka's yelling, kicking and general loudness is impossible to ignore, especially for someone who isn't a particularly heavy sleeper like Sousei. Slowly, irritated, he sits up.

.... ... ... Tenka's not going to shut up.

He gets up, stalks over to where the noises of Tenka trying to kick down the door are coming from (the bathroom, really?) and scowls.]

What is wrong with you?

[SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO SLEEP AT 3 AM]

Me?! What's wrong with this door?

[And then there's just another clang noise as he kicks it. Again. And then Tenka, being Tenka, comes to a genius conclusion. His gasp is probably audible through the door.]

Sousei!!

It has to be ghosts again - the door's possessed! Stab it or something!! Can you smell the ghost?!

Is it a weird seal ghost?!

[This is approximately when there's an even louder bang as Tenka is definitely banging his fist against the bathroom door.]

Get back here, you asshole.

[...SIGH.

He squints at the door, and then tries to open it as well. It doesn't open, which he suspected would happen, but he had to be thorough.]

What happened, exactly?

[Okay no, hold on a second.]

Did you just - did you just try to open the door?

When I told you the door is locked?

When I wouldn't be in here if you could just open the door no problem?!

[HE CAN'T HANDLE THIS FOR MUCH LONGER.]

[OH MY GOD TENKA Sousei is silent for a long moment.

And then.

Slowly, and deceptively calmly (because he's really starting to get irritated now)--]

Shut up. You're too loud. [HONESTLY.] It may have only been locked from the inside. [it would have been dumber to never check and then find out it could open all along...]

...Besides, you're the one who managed to get locked in the bathroom, so keep your opinions to yourself!

[And then he presses on the weird screen of the door and a haunting song begins to play. Probably able to be heard through the metal door.]

Hear that? There's a game! I can't get out until I get a score and I - I can't win this game! I've tried for at least half an hour!!

[Then he's just yelling - in harmony, harmony, oh love - and hitting the door again. Also it's Tenka so his half an hour might be a normal person's 5 minutes.]

I liked the other song they forced on us better!

[............ okay, so usually he'd consider being a little nicer. Probably.

But it's 3 am, and Tenka has been nothing but obnoxious, and he does suspect that that half an hour was more like ten minutes tops, and Tenka was just insulting and also he's still irritated about the drunk husbands log so.

It's incredible that their noise has not drawn any further attention yet, honestly.]

[...okay, there is definitely yelling and banging happening in the apartment right now, and that's a bad sign at any time of day, but it's especially questionable at three in the morning. Nishiki isn't at all annoyed at having to get out of bed for this (or at least, she's not annoyed yet), and it's with a very sharp kunai in hand that she approaches the source of the noise. She looks around the corner of the wall leading toward the bathroom area, but—

—is that Sousei. Is that Tenka??

Nishiki's not even hiding anymore, she's just kind of staring at the two grown men tumbling around.

[Who can be expected to sleep through this sort of ruckus... certainly not this guy. With his hair a mess and his eyes still heavy with sleep, Soramaru isn't too far behind. When he reaches Nishiki, he gives her a questioning look before his gaze immediately goes to... the mess in the bathroom.

WHY... the sleep leaves his eyes in a flash and he's fully awake now, thanks, Responsible Adults.

A-anyway!! He needs to intervene right this second!!! Soramaru rushes into the bathroom, throwing himself between his brother and his master, both hands shooting out to grab Tenka by the shoulders in an attempt to hold him back.]

Aniki—!? What do you think you're doing!? [WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING SOUSEI... Why is the bathroom door on the ground!!!]

[Responsible Adults are busy Adulting obviously. What does it look like? Either way, Tenka's held back by the shoulders though he's just snapping back at Soramaru in the next second-]

I'm giving Sousei what he's been asking for! Your aniki got trapped and your dumb master was useless!!

[SO USELESS. STILL NOT OVER SOUSEI TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR WHEN TENKA SAID IT WAS LOCKED.

Hence why he's trying to break free from Soramaru's grip in the next moment to just tackle Sousei.

[Now, Sousei thought that Soramaru had Tenka on a firm leash now. He thought Tenka was dumb being a moron. Inaccurate assumptions on both parts.

So he's not exactly prepared when Tenka pulls away and suddenly tackles him. Y e a h. He doesn't have the chance to dodge, and then they're both hitting the floor.

Okay, but seriously, why, Tenka... why... this is so embarrassing for him to watch IT'S USUALLY BETTER THAN THIS, NISHIKI. Soramaru's tired and cranky so he's not exactly going to wait until these fine adults sort themselves out because who knows how long that'll take.]

Stop this! [Tries to pry his brother off of Sousei, oh god. KEEP THIS UP, HE'LL PUNCH YOU IN THE HEAD, TENKA.] Why can't you be more considerate!? Damn it, you're causing trouble for everyone here!!

Just know that if you ever lose your aniki in a trapped space, your master's not going to do anything to help! He's the reason why you'll never see your aniki ever again!!

[Despite the fact that Tenka did, in fact, get a fair amount of grief and anger out of his system by getting to punch down a door and then tackle Sousei, it doesn't relieve the rest of his complicated thoughts.

Of course, these complicated thoughts are reserved for when Soramaru and Nishiki are not home, prideful aniki being Tenka's default mode of operation. It's when he has the living room to himself that he just sits at the low table in their living room, tea cup set in front of him with his gaze occasionally directed toward their windows. His gaze goes distant sometimes as he considers exactly what he should be doing in regards to Shirasu.

He can't ask Sousei because Sousei will inevitably get irritated and even though Tenka trusts his partner with everything, he still doesn't find enjoyment in bringing up the one person that Sousei absolutely hates.

He can't ask Shirasu for obvious reasons either.

Anyone else is too far removed from the situation.

So instead Tenka thinks about it by himself in rare moments where he's actually very quiet indeed.]

[He's too quiet, and Sousei is tired of Tenka's moping. Yes, Tenka has a lot of super serious thoughts to think about and consider. But Sousei is tired of it nonetheless, and so Sousei is resolved to do something about it.

Namely bringing home a bag of things. It's not like they're hurting on money, and after Yata's discussion of 'games', Sousei looked it up. There was a lot explained by books, and honestly, this sort of thing seemed right up Tenka's alley.

Childish. That's what he means. It's childish.

So he stalks into the apartment after work, a bag in hand, and proceeds to dump that bag on Tenka's lap.

And then he crosses his arms. There.]
