If we were to dance with the residents here, would that not be considered a 'sword dance?'

You thinking of asking them to dance? I don't think they'd want to get swung around like a real sword dance, you know, even if it's popular.
no subject
That is, if you can even pick them up like one.
[he's seen Donut, all right, he knows some of these swords are as big as any of his father's bodyguards.]

While Mister Doudanuki has taken it upon himself to put me through my paces after I embarrassed him at a party, I doubt there will ever come a time when he would let me hold him like a sword. On the other hand, as dance partners? I'm sure Mutsunokami, Kashuu, and Kogitsunemaru would be more than willing to oblige.

[Why is he thinking about this so hard?? He's getting caught up in Mei's shenanigans now.]
But I don't think I could swing him around properly... Dancing with somebody human-shaped is way harder than that, Mei! Zihuan, back me up!

[wait, what? Me? What?]
Oh, are you not well-practiced in actual dancing, Master Kouha? I find it far easier than the sword dance, especially if your dance partner is a beautiful woman. Sadly, these apartments do lack for that.

That isn't what I meant! I dance just fine, especially with girls!
[Why did he get stuck with these nerds... He needs a straight man to come bail him out, someone help.]
I meant you can't use a person to do the moves for a sword dance, obviously!

Oh, of course. How could I miss that? [lies. Damn lies.] Though the more you say that, the more I'm likely to take that as a challenge. You're small enough.
[Given that he's a full six foot, there's a lot of people around here small enough to pick up and swing around. Don't give him any ideas.]

That said, at this point he wasn't going to go correct himself. All he did instead was make a show of an attempt at hiding his amused little chuckle behind his fan-- as if it afforded him any protection in this conversation.]

And small? Wow, that's rude. Kouha knows he's small, and it's sometimes a sore point, so having it pointed out like that stings. Also, it sounds super embarrassing, so he is not enthusiastic about this plan.]
You can try picking me up, but I gotta warn you, it isn't going to be pretty.
[He smiles, but it's all teeth. Don't test him, Cao Pi!!]

I believe I'll stick to my actual blades for sword-dancing.
Well. [with a glance at Koumei] Things certainly did just get more interesting, around here. I expect we'll be seeing quite a bit of one another.
no subject
Things are always interesting when family gets involved, [he said with an amused smirk.] And I'm sure you're familiar with how eccentric those of royal blood can be.
no subject
Good.
[With that, Kouha relaxes again, flopping backwards in his seat.]
Hey, are you calling us weird? 'Cause we're not that bad.

[there you go, Koumei, a glowing review]
Given our similar backgrounds, we would be best served spending time together, a familiar meal now and then.
no subject
A familiar meal that may have to be cooked by another hand. I don't believe any of us are talented in a kitchen.
no subject
I could clean a kill if we had one, but nothin' else, really.
[It's better than nothing, right?]
You think we could get someone to do it with just a description?
