A: Gonna Take you For a Jog

[It's probably a normal sight in Cerealia from now that a young man in green spandex jogs relentlessly around whole sectors of the colony on a daily basis. He was just out of comission during the trip underground and his day or two of recovery afterwards. Now he's back in action! And wearing a green headband to mix things up.

So you can find him in any district, jogging pretty much anywhere. On the sidewalks, on the tops of moving vehicles, alongside outer walls of buildings, or on ceilings inside of buildings.

If he notices you, he will smile and give a thumbs up, pausing to jog in place for the moment.]

Would you like to join me?!

B: Used Sparringly

[He can also be found at the gym, where he works as a martial arts instructor. Are you a prospective new student, or perhaps someone who has been learning under him for a while? Or just a passerby who has no idea what is going on.

Either way, you'll see Lee warming up with a series of speedy and powerful punches and kicks... until one kick accidentally bisects a training dummy. He immediately drops to his knees to mourn it.]

No!! What have I done?!

C: The VIViD Option

[Lee is at the ViVID Game Center now. He's worked up a sweat through all of his other exercises, now it's time for more of a virtual burn! But he hasn't started the game yet. He looks indecisive.]

Ah... what to choose...!

[Lee can also be generally found serving at a ramen shop, going out shopping or wandering around!]

Merlin-kun, can you not see?! We must use... not just the magic in our heart, but the magic in our feet as well!

[The next song starts, and Lee begins dancing furiously to match the arrows. Every arrow that's matched results in a hit to the monster... but every missed arrow by either of the two makes it stronger.]

I can't move that quickly! [ He snaps it back, a little amazed that Lee can even step this quickly despite his moves earlier. This is like ViViD's hard mode for someone who is more magically inclined and less physically fit okay.

Lee's efforts mean that it's getting hit at least, while Merlin's... Let's just say this monster isn't going to be fun to fight when this hell is over. ]

You can, Merlin-kun! I just know it! Please... push yourself to be more graceful than the you of yesterday! Move with the passionate song of your heart!! -Ack!

[Lee struggles, doing his best to try keeping up. But with Merlin's failures, the monster shoots out some puzzle pieces that knock Lee back for the moment.]

[ Why is this thing so rude?! He doesn't understand what Lee is trying to say here, all he knows is that his legs feel like jelly already and this truly was the worst choice. ]

Hold on! [ He yells out when those puzzle pieces go flying, and while they might have knocked him back he can concentrate well enough on making sure they stop before much damage is done, falling to the floor in a heap.

It makes him angry more than anything, that despite him being the one screwing this up, Lee is the one targeted. It helps though, even if he's still heavy footed it makes him push himself a little harder so their score starts going up a bit. ]

It is alright!! [Rock Lee gasps as he staggers back to his feet and keeps up his funky fresh movements.]

We can do this! [From a quick glance, Merlin does seem to be doing a bit better... so Lee flashes a thumbs up. It looks like the monster is starting to be weakened more than it's getting stronger...]

[ It isn't alright, he feels like his sides are snapping from trying to move quickly, his knees feel weak and his head feels dizzy. His vision is even starting to spot a little, lights coming into view even though it's almost impossible.

But he's trying to not let the other down. Really he'd rather just fight this thing normally but here they are.

The weaker it gets though, the more chance they'll have of taking it down. ]

H-how.... much.... longer?

[niceguypose]

It can't be much longer! [He shouts back. At this point, even he is running low on breath, but he keeps on pushing himself onwards.]

Merlin-kun, please just do your best for - for just a little bit longer!!

[ Okay, he literally has one last bout of energy but this isn't going to go well for either of them. His foot goes down too hard and his body finally gives out.

Only the yell that comes with it is more like a scream of exertion, pushing himself way too hard and it actually comes out more as a stunning spell, hitting the tetris block creature full force whether they're ready or not.

Hopefully Lee is more than ready to do a follow up attack now it's weaker, because Merlin is falling face forward and won't be moving anytime soon. ]

Merlin-kun!! [He cries out at that last display. And he balls up a fist.]

I will not let your downfall be in vain...! [And then he spreads out both legs and shouts as he does the last steps! As the voice sings about a heart going on, the monster shouts and starts to explode, crumbling into nothing!]

[ God job, Lee! In contrast, Merlin has become the noodle he was born to be by being a jelly-like mess on the floor.

Slowly, he murmurs: ] Remind me to never trust your ViViD choices again.

We did it!! [Rock Lee rushes over to Merlin's side, ready to scoop him up bridal style if he doesn't stand up himself.]

But we got a new challenge through this ViViD game!

[ Lee, no, he's too tall for that?! ]

A new challenge?! [ It's a good job he can't feel burning lungs here, it'll be when they leave the real jelly-leg problems will start. ] When we get out of here I'll be lucky if I can walk.

[ Complain less, Merlin...... please. ]

[Never 2 tall!! Then he will just stad there.]

You are truly feeling the burn, Merlin-kun! [Then he looks up.] Ah, look at that! The game is asking us if we wish to advance to the next level! I should say yes...!

[ Lee no!!!!!!!!

To more than one thing from that tag, honestly. ]

Ah! You want to be... my opponent?!

[He blinks uncertainly, but then the game times out without one of them responding. And just like that, they're logged out.

Lee quickly tries to dust himself off.]

I believe that we have both grown a lot from this experience!

I don't... I just don't think I can go another round of--

[ And then they're logged out. As soon as they wake up back home, his legs definitely crumble as the tiredness catches up with him. ]

[Rock Lee kneels down to try to catch the crumpling man! And he starts to shed tears.]

You fought so bravely... Merlin-kun, please hang in there!! You survived! We did it!

[ WHY IS HE CRYING...

He tries to tilt away when the other starts tearing up, looking horribly confused. He's definitely too tired for this. ] I'm fine, I just need a minute.

[ HELP...... ]

Take your time, Merlin-kun!! [His tears fly at Merlin like projectiles.] Take whatever you need to recover, in this springtime of your youth!!

[ A hand moves to cover his face, because oh my god. Why is this happening?! What did he ever do to deserve this?! (Many things, probably)

People in the centre are starting to stare. ]

No, really I can probably... [ Only his legs have taken the brunt of this adventure into ViViD and when he tries to stand they just give up on him again. ]

Merlin-kun!! [His cries echo throughout the game center as he once more moves to try to support him.]

This is too much! Your spirit... it is waning!!

[ This is the worst... everyone is pretty much staring at this loud lunatic screaming up the game center as well now. ]

My spirit is fine!

[niceguypose]

[He pumps a fist and leans down, right in Merlin's face.]

Then where is your conviction?! Say that again, with all of the passion of youth!!

[ With the... he doesn't have any passion of youth anymore Lee... you killed his spirit by being TOO EMBARRASSING.

Merlin holds back a sigh and instead looks back at Lee, leaning back so he doesn't get too in his face.

He really is going to have to yell this, isn't he? He takes a deep breath then yells: ] I'M FINE! [ Then after: ] Can we go now?

[Now he sobs more proudly on Merlin. He softly nods and steps back abruptly.]]

Merlin-kun, be free!! Put that passion into running laps back home! I always believed in you... and I always will!!
