What: "A pizza party" aka a meeting about the new masked figure that appeared.

[It's evening by the time Hiro gets to the Sanctuary. Anyone who had seen him this morning will have spotted him with Baymax, both of them sans their normal armor and Baymax carrying what looks like a giant box. They had preparations to make, after all. He makes his way in and out of the building a few times but by the time the first of their guests arrive, everything's set up.

Upon entering the Sanctuary, Baymax moves to stand guard and collect your CereVice in a box at the door. Please don't cheat, he doesn't like when people aren't playing fair. In exchange for the CereVice, you will receive a form and a pencil before Baymax cheerfully waves you away.

Hiro's sitting on a table at the head of the lounge watching people come in. Hawke had promised these people pizza and cake (Hawke why) and he's delivering on that promise. The stack is about as tall as he is, more than enough to feed everyone who's shown up. He waits until a majority of the people show up before he clears his throat to gather attention.]

...uh, hey! [Well. That's a great, confident start.] I know this was sort of last minute and everything, but I really appreciate all of you coming by and actually listening to Hawke. [Sorry Hawke. But there's a grin which says he's more than appreciative.] I know you're probably here for free food, but there's a couple of things you should know. [Sliding off of the table, he moves to stand in front of what looks like a small mechanical box.]

When we all got back a few days ago, I started thinking about the fact that CERES can watch us from...pretty much anywhere. So I took some plans for something else I've been working on, improvised a little bit and created this thing. It'll deflect the signal from our implants and block them out completely as long as we're in this room. I've tested it out a couple of time already, the whole thing gets thrown off. It's...why I wanted to meet here! Because that sort of leads right to my next point.

[There's a small sigh as he paces the room, Baymax waddling after him. He moves back to the table he'd been sitting on to pull up the mask he'd been given a while ago.]

All of you probably received one of these either from that fortune teller, Aria, or it just showed up. And while we were out there? Some of you probably found the terminal like I did and spoke with a masked figure. [A beat.] I'm starting to realize that it told all of us something different, but the most important part is that it's with the Flamine Federation. You know. The guys who supposedly destroyed our planets. Baymax gave all of you a form--um. [And here he pauses, unsure if it's really appropriate to be ordering people to share information but then again that's what they all need. He's always believed everybody needs to be aware of what's happening.] Basically I guess just...answer what you can and tack it up on the board--[A gesture to a large bulletin board he pulled from who knows where.]--and talk amongst yourselves about what happened out there? Alien...the monsters, that weird altar? A bunch of you saw that, right? What was that about?

[Dear god somebody help him.] ...look, I tried. There's free food. This is about all I could throw together so fast before something else happens here. So...yeah. Let's just start figuring out what's really happening here, okay?

[Vague hand gestures? Vague hand gestures. He shuts up after that and sort of shrinks back into his hoodie, jumping back up on the table to hand out food and keep an eye on the room. All right, colonists. You know what to do.]

The idea behind this is for characters to ICly fill out this form (coded by the wonderful Fidgey/Katsura-mun) and have it displayed for everyone to view that information. Looking at those papers, they probably didn't care either, huh?

[HE ALREADY DOESN'T LIKE THE FLAMINES. Honestly, why can't they just have a neutral or even helpful fourth party that actually likes them and wants to give them clues so they aren't stumbling around in the dark like confused monkeys all the time??]

Geez... But yeah, that's my thought. Maybe there was a colony before this one? I think I've heard a couple people mention something like that, but I'm not entirely sure.

[ Dipper's with him there. It'd sure be nice to have someone on their side. Even the parties that didn't seem outright out to get them like the spirits almost killed them.

There's always something... ]

Mosley apparently said there were other colonies before this one, but Cerealia is their only active one right now. I'd be surprised if the ruined city wasn't one of those colonies.

So we're really gonna need to figure out what went on there, then. Considering, y'know, there's nothing saying we won't be an eventual repeat.

[Which sure isn't a heartening thing to say, but hey! It's already Gloomy Hour, might as well add more.]

Yyyyyyeah. Since CERES seems to be profiting off us, I'd like to think they wouldn't shut us down, but maybe whatever happened to end those other colonies didn't come from CERES at all.

[ He doubts it was the Flamines, but if not them, who else? ]

[adornmental]

I dunno. They're a big company so they can probably find profit in other places pretty easy, right? Especially if they have access to this whole "universal code" thing.

[It'd be pretty easy to wipe the slate and start over, but... that doesn't explain why they left that whole other section of the town still standing and all.]

Mm... It could be something else, but the destruction of that one area doesn't really give us a lot of info to work with.

That's fair. Mosley made it sound like Cerealia was pretty important to Recreare, though.

[ That, and maybe there's a little conceit that this colony - all these people - had to be important to CERES, to the universe. ]

It doesn't. I spent a lot of time scouting out there and didn't find anything useful beyond the terminal. That building with the mirrors was strange, too.

[adornmental]

Might be important, but it might not be so important that they wouldn't be able to start over, see?

[MEANWHILE, GLOOMY GUS-- He actually isn't usually this bad about most topics, but having the perspective of an object means that Kashuu's much more understanding of the fact that sometimes, things just get thrown away.]

—Yeah. I bet they'll explain that away as a glitch too, if we ask. If they even acknowledge that place at all.

[ Well, Dipper can't argue that too much. He's not exactly inclined to give CERES the benefit of the doubt, and it paid to err on the side of pessimism, in his experience. ]

I wonder if it works anything like the library books did. Strange code that interacts with our code somehow and produces an even stranger result.

[adornmental]

Is that what they said happened there? Pretty weird.

[But he doesn't understand technology at all, so he can't really question it further.]

That might be what happened, I guess...

I don't know that it matters too much, anyway, beyond understanding the way this world works a little better.

[ As intriguing as it is, the mirrors weren't going to unlock the mysteries of this place. ]

Eh, yeah. But I mean, knowing our luck, we'll end up overlooking the one thing that's key to putting all the pieces into place somehow.

[He's mostly joking though, at least... Mostly.]

Anyway! Meetings like this are a good place to start when it comes to figuring this mess out, at least. One step at a time or whatever.

Heh, probably. [ IT'S A VALID CONCERN. ] I've already learned waaaaay more than what I learned from my own conversation with the Flamine. We ought to make this a more regular thing, if we can do it without CERES catching on to what we're doing.

[adornmental]

Definitely! I suggested earlier just like, sticking a bulletin board in here that people could use to share info and stuff. That way we don't have to go through the hassle of organizing meetings all the time... But when big stuff like this happens, meetings would be good, too. Also, we'd need some kinda guard to make sure no one messes up the stuff.

[Like ROBOTS... You can never trust robots.]

The bulletin board's a great idea, as long as we make sure no one tries to take anything off of it. I guess that'd be the point of a guard, though. Or if not a guard, some kind of alarm system.

[ If Hiro was able to built the signal reflector, surely some kind of security system would be easy, right? Or maybe Tadashi could do it. ]

Both might be good. That way, the flaws in one system can be made up for by the other, yeah?

[There's no such thing as being overly-cautious!!]

True. But who's going to want to guard the sanctuary all the time? [ Who could they trust to do it? ] We'd need a few people willing to do it.

[adornmental]

Mmhm! We could do shifts, right? Like any other work place. I think we'd have enough volunteers for that to be possible. I mean, this city is pretty big...

[cryptologic]

Yeah, but...we have to make sure whoever does it is trustworthy, too.

[ Ever paranoid, this one. ]

[adornmental]

Mmm... That's a little trickier to figure out. Maybe we could do like, a pairing system or something? We'd need twice as many people willing to volunteer, but...

[Figuring things like this out isn't his strong suit but HE'S SURE TRYING...]

There's the issue of covering up what we're doing, too. CERES will probably catch on quickly that we're guarding something here. How long before they come by to check it out themselves?

[adornmental]

That's gonna be a little harder to handle... Maybe we could have contact numbers or some sort of emergency system so people with offensive and defensive abilities could come over when they're needed?

[cryptologic]

That may be for the best. Set up a security system, have people on call to come defend if they need to.

[ That sounds pretty solid. ]

[adornmental]

Let's get some more people in on this and spread the word, then! I think it could work.

[YES. Actually making progress, he loves it.]

Great. I'll talk to Hiro about a security system, too. Should be pretty easy for him, I think...
